I haven't been posting a lot lately (although I never close my Kiva's Krew window) because I have become addicted to learning Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere. Since we've been on hiatus from PSP, I'm learning how to edit video and home movies. I have decided to use some of my newly acquired skills to put together a little intro of the people of Kiva's Krew. I need everyone to post a CURRENT picture of themselves hopefully with a size of at least 320 wide by 240 tall (bigger is better because I will crop them). Managers and Assistants....I will have a lead-in to identify who you are. I was thinking of putting our names like Brent Rosenthal a.k.a Corzak superimposed over the photo's. What do you all think of my idea? Do you all mind participating? Let me know your thoughts!!!!!!

I promise not to morph anyone into a farm animal like I did by turning my wife into a sheep!! lol

Brent, I tried to see the video, but kept getting a message saying that the item has so much information that msn can't use it (probably a web tv thing) Maybe once I get my computer up and running I'll be able to check it out. Wish me luck.

Hi Corzak,

I have tried several times to view the video but I get a message saying that the video cannot be rendered and something about MP42??  I can get the sound, but not the video .  Any suggestions?  BTW, I use AOL and I have cable.

LOM - Have you tried downloading both kiva5 and kiva6 they are different....I have been reading about how to make it available to everyone when I found that his is a universal problem with web video. The error you are getting has to do with the codec (video compressor) I am using which is MPeg4 v1 and v2. If I use the most universal which is cinepak the video triples in size to a whopping 57 megs. I might give that as an option but only to those with cable or dsl.

I really haven't had the time the last couple of weeks, but I have been snagging pics when people have posted them so it might be time to see what I can change. I have also learned how to take the video files and make them into a VCD using a regular cd burner and can be played on a lot of todays dvd players. I actually burned the Krew intro and played it on my dvd player.

Hello, I'm new here. I was invited to join by August, where we met on the Canadian Idol board where my nickname is AlbertaMom. She said to post here, so uh... here I am. (Feeling shy... )

My name is Amy, I've got three kids, ages 5, almost 3, and 7 months... and a husband of 6 years. We are from Alberta, Canada. Um... don't know what else to say just yet ... well, looking forward to getting to know you all!

Amy,
I really must apologize to you!    This is the thread that Corzak started when he was working on our video and I gave it to you by mistake.  You'll see other threads which welcome new members.  Silly moi.....so sorry!

Hi Amy:  Welcome to the nut house.  I'm copying your message into the Over-35 thread where more people will see it.  That's the real "meeting room" and everything else is sort of a side vacation.  You'll be able to tell from the dates on the message board which threads are current.

When you have a year, sit yourself down, grab your favorite beverage and just start reading whatever interests you.  If a thread hasn't been used in a while and it's something you're interested in, just post a message and it will undoubtedly start back up.  The last few days we seem to be mostly in Over 35, Reality Shows, Idol Chit Chat (probably the first place you went), Fun and Games -- and we can always count on Corzak to be in the tech room (well, when he's not working or doing something sensible with his family).  You'll find we all have our own warped sense of humor - very diverse.  Hope you'll just find some threads you enjoy and jump right in.  I promise, we may argue once in a while, but we never bite and the support in this club is terrific!

Looking forward to seeing pics of you and your family when you feel comfortable enough to post.
