Some of you may have this site already, but it's worth revisiting. It's a great page for learning the basics of PSP, even if you think you know the basics. And if you know more than the basics, she has tutorials and links and a lot of good stuff. |

Actually, I don't think you can get to her tutorials from the link I gave you above. For the tutorials, try this link: If you're interested in doing a stained glass tag, go to this link: I haven't tried the stained glass tutorial yet, but she has a link to a lot of stained glass backgrounds that are quite beautiful. Sometimes these tutorial pages are worth it just for the downloads of plug-ins, tubes, fonts, links, etc.!!! |

BLADE PRO STUFF... and lots of it. This website has Blade Pro Presets (enough to make you dizzy)... and all kinds of other goodies. ENJOY. |

More PSP Tube Links. BTW ... if any of you NON-PSP people go to these sites and see any graphics that you like -- which are in tube form and therefore only work in PSP -- if you want me to put them into a .jpg or .gif for you, just let me know. |

Hey Corzak, do you have a place where I can just get AS like where the free PSP 8 is? |

I thought that AS was included with PSP 8. I do know that you have to get a patch from the JASC website to make AS work with PSP 8. Sorry but I have been so busy, I will try to post more on the subject later but it won't be until 7 - 8 PM. |

Yeah, it was included with my trial version of PSP but I lost it when it ran out and I can't download it again. I tried and it won't work. It downloads and installs ok but won't work. I'm using a copy of PSP that my niece made but the AS part doesn't work. |

Jo - did you get the file from me? Maybe you just need a new serial #. |

No, I had it downloaded from Jasc. I might not be with you all after this month and I'd like to get AS before that happens (if it does). It'll give me something to do. Although I don't know what I'll do with the stuff I'll make. I guess it'll just help me not to go too crazy. |

Peaceful: Re: Gradients -- the only thing I know about Gradient files is that they have to be JGD's. Now maybe they changed this in PSP8, but in PSP7, I can only see a Gradient if the file extension is .jgd. If they are any other extension, I cannot use them. They go in your Gradient folder under C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 7\Gradients -- in your case it should say Paint Shop Pro 8, unless they changed something about the directories as well, in which case, I probably can't help you. FYI -- With Patterns I can only see my patterns if I save them as .bmp. But at least if I find a pattern that I like and it's a .jpg, I can usually do a "Save As" and save it as a .bmp. However, with gradients, I haven't found any place where I can save them as a .jgd, and I can't even "fool it" into thinking it should be associated with Paint Shop Pro or Animation Shop. PSP and AS won't open it up or recognize it and doesn't show it in the Gradient cache. Anyway ... that's about the best I can do. Maybe Brent knows more about this. |

Sorry ladies....I'm not that familiar with PSP's gradients and patterns since I mainly use Fireworks for that portion of my anims. |

Thanks Diane. I didn't know that about the bmp extension. I learn something new everyday. |

Brent -- You may have already figured this out, but just in case anyone else is interested ... in PSP, you can add the icons for your most-used PSP features onto your toolbar. You have to right-click on this -- -- and pick "Customize" and then you can add different icons to whichever part of the toolbar you want. I added "New Layer" and "Resize" and some other things to my toolbar that I use most often. You also mentioned that you wanted to put the Animation Shop icon on your toolbar and this is how you would do it. Here's a better screen, if my little graphic above doesn't ring a bell. |
