Okay some I'm my home from Petsmart today about 1:00 pm after bowling and I have the green light to go straight, & outta no where this woman in Van about runs me over by the Grade school, she shoots out in the intersection and turns right on her red light from the middle lane and I'm like lady your gonna kill that kid in the car with ya, but I notice her back window on her silver Van was shot out, anyway she keeps going on the right shoulder and cuts in front of car in front of me, dirt is going everywhere, and then we get to the next light and she turns left on a red from the middle lane, as the left turn lane was plugged and mind you this is 4 lanes of traffic, 2 each way and heads off, I told Jeff about it and he says are you sure the back window was shot out and I said yes I am, at first I thought maybe I should call 911 but the way she turned is an exit for a ramp to the frwy and I figured whe was long gone by that time, they passed that new law you can't talk on your cell while driving her in Cali.& mine was buried in my purse of reach..Anyhoo, I just watched the 11 pm news and got goose bumps...Here is what happened.. 
Police have arrested a 20-year-old woman in relation to a shooting Friday at a convenience store.
Renesha Wright was taken into custody at an apartment on the 4300 block of Courtwood Court. A second, unnamed suspect was described as a thin, teenaged black male.
The shooting reportedly happened about 1 p.m. at Howard's Mini Mart, 4201 Belle Terrace.
An unidentified 17-year-old victim was sitting in a parked van when a suspect walked out of the store and exchanged words with the victim as the suspect walked past the victim's vehicle, police said.
The suspect then shot the victim multiple times and ran away with 2-3 other people, according to investigators.
The police news release didn't specify why Wright was arrested, and it didn't identify her as the shooter.
The victim's mother drove him to Mercy Hospital in downtown. The victim was subsequently transferred to Kern Medical Center, where he's reported to be in critical condition.
The motive for the shooting hasn't been determined, but police said the victim and shooting suspect may have known each other.
Police said they don't know if the shooting was gang related.
West High School, Curran Middle School, Munsey Elementary School and Thompson Jr. High School were placed on lockdown for about two hours as a precaution due to their proximity to the shooting. Man oh Man, I tell ya that lady, (she was white with long brown hair pulled back on the sides) was on a mission it was like she had taken a course in defensive driving or something, and that's what I told hubby too, it was like she knew what she was doing..and she missed the old Crossing guard guy..and the Grandma with the umbrella walking her two grandkids..I hope her kid is okay..it said on the news he was shot in the head.. It's a city..If it was a small town we wouldn't have all this stuff going on..Jeff calls the mini marts, Stop and Rob..instead of Stop and shop..supposedly this is the meth capitol of the U.S.. lotta tweekers around here..that reminds me, Reesie and I have a deal, I listen to my Radio station on the way somewhere & she gets her's on the way back..and they have fake comercials on there all the time..on the way back from the Doctors the other day they had one about Methadent toothpaste...the guy says try methadent toothpast you'll still have tartar and your teeth will rot out, and some girl asks, ya but will it get me bombed, and he says no, and she says well I'm gonna try it anyway..Methadent toothpaste in your drug stores recrecational pharmacutical isle..Jeez..there is one section of town that is where most of the tweekers live, called Oildale, it's close to the oil fields.. |

by the way they had a nice funeral service for the two kids they found..too bad their Mom is already dead, so she doesn't have to rot in prison for doing that to her kids..there two older sisters & the community came together and had find raisers & donations paid for it..I'll say one thing about this community they are they most giving people..we raise more money on the walk for the cure cancer event every year out of anyplace in the US, they hold an over night one at the University..Can you tell I'm wired from my allergy pill? Right now we have search & rescue dog teams from the county headed to the gulf coast and the ones that are left are working the train crash..Metro link passenger train vs. frieght train about 4:30 yesterday after noon..Just awful..anyhoo..I need to try to get some z'sss.. |

Meth toohpaste.... golly what will they think of next.. Happy your town does what it does. We need more like you all. I would just watch myself that's all. Peggers we live in a place if you blink you missed it...lol no kidding! So it's wild for me to hear all this stuff... |

Goodness Peggers! I wonder why youre in the Meth capital? I mean, do they just like CA? I live in the suiburbs of Tampa so we have our crime. It usually isnt in my neighborhood but I know it happens everywhere. Our biggest problem around here is Mexican gangs - mainly vandalism and theft. Sometimes they shoot each other and Im like go ahead and kill one another! |

Wow ... I only know such stories from TV ... CSI and such. Living in a small countryside town there doesn't happen anything more exciting than shoplifting or vandalism by teenagers ... I don't know whether I could stand living in a place where it's actually dangerous ... do you get used to it?
It's good to hear the 2 poor kids at least got a dignified funeral ... so sad when kids are concerned. When I heard of the little 4 years old Israeli girl in the news ... not wanted by her mother or father and finally murdered by her grandfather it broke my heart ... so young and so much pain in her life. I'll never understand how you can do harm to kids ... |

well cuz our county is like the 2nd largest in the state..it covers miles and miles of desert, mountains, farm land, oil fields, all kinds of desolate areas where all ya have to do is plop down an old trailer and a hotplate to cook the drugs..and they are always finding tons of pot in the wilderness areas, lol.. |
