Busy day today ...
in the afternoon it's an Advent coffeeklatsch meeting with some neighbours. Still have to bake some more cookies ... thought I had enough at the weekend but there must have been some little goblins pinching them secretly ... coz both hubby and son deny having eaten them, lol
Moreover a friend called me in tears ... she's working half time in a senior hospital but now many colleagues are sick due to a virus over here and she has to change to full time ... with the problem of her dog being alone from 7am to 6 pm.
So ... it's dog sitting for me again. It's a fox terrier and I really don't like terriers much ... most of them bark alot and don't get along well with other dogs ... oh, well ... you really can't say no if someone asks for your help in case of need.
Today I bought the prezzie for my Mum in an online shop ... hope it will arrive till X-mas. Hubby and me won't exchange any prezzies as both our electric cooker and the TV broke down in the last few weeks and couldn't be repaired so we had to get new ones which was expensive.
Prezzie for son already bought ... so only little things now are left for relatives and friends. I usually choose books or music DVD's for them. The X-mas tree is on my to do list, too ... the price this year is 30 pct higher than last one ... so we'll walk to the forest and cut one which is fun anyhow and the hot wine punch they have there tastes so good ... lol
Enough babbling now ... have to rush
tomorrow will be more quiet ... hope to get some time for PSP then coz the supplies for the challenges of this are really neat! |

Good Morning Girls!
Wow, everyone is busy - LOL! Iris, that sounds really cool to go to the forest and get your tree. I have an artifical tree and its prelit so decorating was easy this year. Shiela - I hate cold weather! Goodness! Peggers - GC's are awesome! I got all my gift cards yesterday and got them ready to mail this morning. Im having breakfast with two friends this morning and then a few errands. Hope ya'll have a good one! |

Morning.................. well everyone is so busy! It is that time of the year! I am so happy I got all my shopping done early this year, cause it is the busy time of the year!!! My side of the family had there dinner all planned..... well now it's changed. shezzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..... to the day before. 20'th of dec. They had better not change it!! More family on Dougs side is coming home for xmas, another gift...... lol Dougs mom is having turkey one day, & a ham for another day so that's 2 dinners to go to.... I'd do both & be done with it!!! Our neighbors are having a xmas party, xmas night, I hope we get to go to that.... finger food, yepppiiieeeeeeeeeee!!!! Drinks!!!! Give my mind some peace.... Ok I have to tell you this, we have ground cover right ICE !!!!! Ok Doug is feeding the horses, a guy comes walking in the yard. Said have you got a 4 wheel drive.... Doug said why yes I do. He said ya got a chain, Doug said yes if I can dig it out of the ice. The guy siad do you think you can pull me out of the ditch......... Doug saide, well I guess I can try.... lol So they go down the hill, well he's in the ditch all right..... Doug said why are you out today with all this ice..... he had to get to the liquior store.......... well duh.............. Doug almost didn't get him up the hill it was way slick! The guy got out, & let Doug unhook the chain & off he went....... Well sir! He really must of needed a drink bad, lol Anyway Doug said he told the guy to hook the chain up & the guy said you might pull something off my truck, Doug said that's why I am going to let you hook the chain up..... I am just trying to get you out of the ditch... he said well we can't mess my truck up. Doug said I can go back to the house to!!!! Anyway Doug got him out & off he went.... some ppl are very rude...... |

The thing is, if you know there's 2 or 3" of ice & you don't have a 4 wheel drive.......... why the hell are ya out anyway??????? |

Well I feel kinda bad this morning. I think I got Emily's teacher in trouble over an assignment that had to do with religion. I wasnt complaining but a staff member said the teacher shouldnt be doing that. Now, they are going to talk to her. I kept telling them that I didnt want to get the teacher in trouble and that I already spoke to her about the assignment. |

yep, we're all busy..oh boy, your guy isn't having the best luck Janz..we'll those little goblins must like you're cookies Iris,lol..Good luck dog sitting.. that reminds me of the other night when I was cleaning out the frig..I took out the bottom draw to clean under it and there was light bulb glass under it, stuck in soda someone had spilled and it ran down the back,, I asked Reesie did you break a light in the frig, she said no, so I asked Jeff and of course he doesn't remember doing it..so I said well, If I find the burgular that broke in this house and broke that light bulb, I'm gonna slap the crap outta them..lol..oh wow, Shiela, must have been an alcoholic to have to get to the liqior store in that weather..rude at any rate..well I gotta get with it and pay bills & then later go to Target..have a good one..Peggers |

I got a viris............................ somewhere somehow.................... Oh no Cari!!!!!! Hope she don't get in trouble.... Peggers, I love your post! Ok so the cats got in there & done that right!!!!! LMAO! We may have sold Magic for xmas present, one of the horses....... wow!!!! I love you guys sooooooooo!!!!! If the teacher was doing something she shouldnt you have to speak up Cari. Young minds are in their care! Shiela....rude, rude, rude of him! I cant psp just now, got something wrong with my arm and resting it up the last few days...but I cant stay off the pc altogether lol.  Will try do a few challenges tomorrow! |

yes, I agree you need to bring it up to the teacher, what I worry about is the teacher getting mad and taking it out on Emily..if the subject explored all differnt kinds of religion I don't see anything wrong with it..but there are a lot of people who aren't as open minded as me..you know my Dad was a lay minister for years, and we always lived next door to the church..we were taught to be tolerant of others..Reesie mentioned to me the other day that kids get a lot of their ideas from their parents and we never brought her up that way..so when she started seeing some kids treating other kids that were different races or whatever rude or or didn't want to play with them, she didn't really understand why they were being that way..she said she was glad she learned to be tolerant from me..awww, mad me cry...Now if I could only fix her brain chemistry and get rid of her bi-polar disorder, social anxiety, and OCD, I'd have it made..oh well, we all have our crosses to bear..oh man, I'm pooped I need a nappy..lol...but at least I got the packages sent off today, and they will get there by the 23rd..TTYL, big squishy hugs,Peggers |

Good Morning Girls! Everything is fine with the teacher - I dont think anyone said anything to her. The kids gave their reports yesterday on winter celebrations and my child did Festivus (yes, its a a real holiday - LMAO) I"ll be at school all day since its our last day of the year. We're having our Winter (Christmas) Party this afternoon and Im the co-homeroom mom this year. Ive been the unofficial co-homeroom mom for years but this year Im official - LOL! Actually, Im the one that tells my friend what she has to do. We have to pick up gift certificates for the teachers and pick up pizza this afternoon. Peggers - Im sure that is a huge worry on your mind. Emily is a little quirky and different and it worries me sometimes. But she's happy and healthy so thats all that matters. Shiela - hope you got your virus fixed. Janz - sending good thoughts to your arm. Iris - hope you got your tree and baking done. Hows the dog-sitting going? I'll probably wont be back today - Im usually wiped out from these school parties. But I'll be working on challenges tomorrow. Big Holiday Hugs, Cari |

my sister and brother went together and sent us a huge deluxe tower of stuff from Harry&David..it said open immediately so I did..there is all kinds of stuff, apples,pairs,nuts,jam, cheese, truffles, more nuts,lol, big package of smoked salmon, clocolate decadence cake, and rasberry galettes...I'm probably forgetting something,lol..I called them last night to thank them..Talked to my sis, but Vaughn wasn't home..He called this morning..it's snowing there and 24 degrees..brrrr..have a good weekend..Peggers |
