we are cooking a prime rib over at hubby's Mom's..She has one of those ronco rotisseries, and it really comes out good..a long with all the fixings..I don't know who all will be there..We won 2 out of 4 games tonight..I just took Jeff's reading glasses off his head, as he's snoring up a storm and last week he fell asleep with his other ones on and broke them.. |

Good Morning girls! You have a snoring hubby too Peggers? Mine snores soooooooo loud! We're going to see The Tale of Despereaux today. Its Emily's fav book so she's excited. My friend invited us to come over tomorrow night. No major plans for us - pretty boring. Have a good one! Hugs, Cari |

Snoring hubbys .... mine does a kind of 2ways snoring ... when breathing in it's a loud and deep snore ... followed by a short pause ... then he breathes out with a kind of whistle, lol Somewhere I read snoring would be genetically caused ... the Neanderthal men living in caves snored to frighten off wild animals so they would not attack the women. Well, mine at least does a good job ... no wild animal ever attacked me, lmao

Happy New Year and I hope it will be a good one for your all! Our party here started nice but ended in a kind of desaster, lol Son had the brilliant idea to build a firework rocket by his own ... it flew to the neighbours garden into a large cedar tree which started to burn immediately. Hubby tried to kill the fire by breaking some big branches ... burnt his best jacket, some hair and his hands ... and had quite a quarrel with the neighbour who threatened us to call the police. One hour later my Mom wanted to cut some left over meat from the fondue into parts to freeze it ... the steak knife slipped and she managed to penetrate her left hand completely ... she pulled the knife out but then fainted with the shock. We had to drive her to the emergency in the hospital and she was operated still the same night ... chords, muscles and nerves of the middle and ring finger have been cut through. The arm is plastered now and they told her it will take a long time till everything will be grown together again ... hope the fingers won't become inflexible. What a start to the New Year ... it only can get better now :)

OMG, Iris, how awful..I think rockets are best set off in an open field..Jeff and his brother built some years ago and that's what they did..I never went with them, they took Reesie and a cousins a few times and they thought it was great..your poor hubby, and your poor Mom, she has been through a lot lately! Hope her hand heals well.. Sorry Shiela to hear about your friend.. Hubby took the motor home out for a drive, he has to do that every once in awhile.,,mostly just sits..then he's gonna take some more stuff to Goodwill..I got bills paid and that's about it..still need to go shopping..he's been off for over a week and I'll be glad when he goes back to work..lol..ttyl, Peggers |
