| | It was eating him. Days had turned into weeks with out speaking to her- though she never left his mind. No matter where he was- working, out with Bloods Ace- or even at home, all he could think about was her and how much he missed her. She was the only person he had said 'I love you' to and really meant it. But lately- being angry at her had become ridiculous and he knew it. Both of them were stubborn as hell and it would be a cycle that would never end if one of them didn't try. Instead of going home after he got off work from the Studios, he took a different rout. It was time to swallow his pride and say he was sorry to her. She was, after all, the mother to his unborn child, and the love of his life, no matter what way he looked at it.
He pulled over across the street from her house, taking a deep breath. He wasn't sure why it felt awkward to go talk to her, but it had been so long since they had spoken- he didn't know how she felt. He got out and slowly made his way toward the house, hoping he wouldn't sound like an idiot- as he did when they first really were alone together. He rang the bell, waiting silently. A moment later the door jerked open and Jinx stood in front of him, raising an eyebrow. "What the fuck do you want?" He snapped. "I was wondering if I could speak with Nyx for a moment." Deron replied calmly. Jinx narrowed an eye, gripping the door. "She doesn't wanna talk to you, asshole. Not after the shit you pulled." "Please? It's really important. I promise I'm not here to start any trouble."
He could tell by the look on Jinx's face he didn't want to allow that- that he would have rather have told him to fuck off and slammed the door in his face. "Please Jinx. I want to tell her I'm sorry..." He bit his lower lip, praying silently that he would allow it. | OCC__ Ducky owes Bubbles for the layout. haha. This is wicked!

| | "I missed you more." Nyx said and he couldn't help but laugh.
"God, you'd think by that we were in highschool or something, sneaking out
after dark." He stopped laughing, biting his lip to keep it from coming. "I don't think
highschool kids would be able to get a hotel room though with out one of their
dorky friends encouraging them to get laid." She added. "I know. I'm just surprised nobody from your place or mine has flipped out wondering where
we are." He paused and looked at her with mischevious eyes. "More your side
than mine really." He winked at her, pulling her in his arms as he started to laugh again.
It felt good to be with her and laugh- to feel alive again. And it seemed she was
the only one who could really give him that freedom.

He didn't answer her immediately as he let her question sink into his head.
Did he still want their baby? They had been separated for a long time, it was
hard to think of that. But he knew he did. That child had been created out of
love, there was no saying other wise. He loved her and that child. "Yes." He said.
"I do still want that child. I'm not going to run out on it, why should it get
robbed of having parents who love it? I told you when we first found out that I
would not let you go through this alone. I will be there." He paused and
swallowed hard. Why did she ask? Was there something on her mind that
she didn't want to tell him? Did she not want him to be there for the baby?
"Why do you ask?" He asked quietly, trying to keep himself from fidgeting.

"Um..." he said, wrinkling his nose in thought. "I honestly don't have a preference.
I would be happy with either." Truthfully he hadn't even thought about
it. Sure he had thought about being a father, but the topic of it being a
boy or a girl was one of the last things on his mind. "Liar. All men want
boys. They want to teach their sons to be like them." Nyx mused.
"Oh ok." He chuckled. "And all women want daughters for the same reason."
They paused, thinking. How different would it be for either of them? What
difference would it make if their child was a girl as opposed to a boy?
"But I'm serious. I would be happy no matter what." "Ok...so what about
names? Thought of any of that?"
"Not really. I'm pretty bad at naming things. Growing up with Jeff- everything
was Bob or somethin' else like that. I think maybe Zaina and I named one
of my moms horses Kermit- just cause the muppets were popular at
the time...Have you given any thought to names...and better yet- what
are you hoping for?" He grinned, turning the questions back on her.
