| It had been since Thanksgiving since their little girl had vanished. She and Jeff were gone with out a word. They had searched for her all over Raleigh and the surrounding cities, turning up nothing. "Where could they have gone to? It's not like there's really anything here for them." Serena sighed as she sank back into a recliner. She stared at her feet, a hand rested on her temple as she seemed to zone out. "You can't give up hope sweetie. She and Jeff would never let anything happen to each other." Rita assured her. She was sitting on the edge of the couch, thinking back to the night her niece and grandson vanished. Where could they have gone?
"Everything seemed so normal, it just doesn't seem right." Serena continued. "They were so happy and giggly at dinner that this just doesn't make sense." She paused and looked from her brother to her husband, shaking her head. "Well I have to admit that was quite a turn around because I remember how bummed they were that Deron wasn't coming for the holiday. But it wasn't like they should have gotten their hopes up I mean..." Rita was cut off as Harry sat up straight, looking at her curiously. "Wait. What did you say?" he asked. "I just said they were bummed cause Deron wasn't going to make it."
He chuckled and shook his head. "Should have figured."
Serena, Rita, and Kerry looked at him confused for a moment and he grinned lightly. "Well come on! They're sad cause your boy wasn't coming, we can't find them anywhere around North Carolina. Isn't obvious? They went to LA to see that mutt of a son of yours."
Serena sat up quickly and her eyes widened. "Do you think?" "It's the only logical answer. Now lets get packed- we're goin' to LA."
"You sure this is the house?" Serena asked as they pulled up to a brick house in a quieter neighborhood. "Pretty sure. I called in a favor- had a buddy dig up some info on the boy for me to find out. Got his info from the campus where he works. And if I am right, Zaina will be here- or he will know where she is if she's not."
But if he remembered anything about how they were as kids- she was definatly here. He got out and took his wife's hand, almost pulling her toward the door.
Deron jumped, snapping awake as a loud banging came on the door. He rolled on to his stomach and looked at the clock, it was almost seven. He yawned and kicked the blankets off as another round of pounding came. Jeff yanked open his door and stuck his head out, looking around. "You have some rude friends, Deron. Who does that?" He snapped as he yawned. Zaina opened her door, not looking happy as she followed him down the hall. "Who ever the hell it is, they are gunna pay with their life." She grumbled, rubbing her eyes. The banging came again, a bit louder this time. "I'm comin', I'm comin." Deron yawned, rubbing his own eyes, unlocking the door and pulling it open.
His heart stopped for a moment as he realized who was standing in front of him. Zaina's parents. He hadn't seen them since the day they moves, but he recognized them instantly. "Step aside boy." Harry demanded, stepping inside and shoving Deron out of the way as he saw Zaina.

| Harry swallowed, though it was rather hard with Deron' thumb pressing his adams apple. He just stared at Zaina. "You lying bitch." he snapped, attempting to move forward but he was quickly slammed back against the wall by his nephew. "How is that a lie if I know about it? Can't fucking answer that can you?" He adjusted his hold and forced Harry to look at Zaina. "Look at her when she is talking to you. Face her like a man. Call her a lying bitch to her face, I fucking dare you, cause right now she has every fucking right to kick the shit out of you."
Deron looked at Zaina. "Tell him everything you ever wanted to- let him feel the pain he caused you. Don't be afraid of him."
She could see that Harry was getting pissed. Nobody handled him that way. In fact- nobody ever touched him. It was almost a sin. But he could see in his daughters eyes she wasn't afraid of him anymore. She wasn't in fear of her life, and it did burn in his gut, deep down. "Hit me." He said to her. "I know you want to. Let's see if you are as big as you talk. I'm even defenseless here. You got your mutt holding onto me. So do it. Let's see you hit me, little girl." he had almost a sadistic smile on his face, he was playing games with her mind like he used to.

Deron looks at Zaina as she tells him to let him go. Zaina shifts her eyes at Deron. Deron's grip loosens and Harry smacks his hands away. He pushes Deron aside and steps up to Zaina. His attention was on his daughter only as he didn't bother with Deron laying a hand on him. "Go head, hit me" He tapped his chin.
Zaina stared down Harry. She looked at the man that has strucked her down mulitiple times. All that rage and adrenaline, she swung at him. She is, after all, his daughter. Harry looks at her with wide angry eyes. "You..."
