Jesse packed up his laptop as he finished his lunch. It was a moment of solitude while his sister was decorating her room, dad was at work. He just had to escape the clutches of his grandparents. In a meaningless walk to what he thought was going to be the library he stopped at a local diner for lunch. Try something new. He looked up as he slung his back pack over his shoulder to see a very gentle looking girl delved into a book as she had her lunch. She was intriguing- he hadn't seen anybody there yet that would rather read than go out on the town- especially somebody as good looking as her. He stopped beside her table as he went to pay his check. "Thats a good book." he smiled lightly.

He looked down at the girl as she introduced herself and smiled. "I'm Jesse." he said after a moment. "It's very nice to meet you, Emilia. Haven't seen many girls around here who actually care to read rather than shop or hit the clubs." he paused, feeling a bit dorky. But she seemed so fresh, so intelligent and relaxed. "Nice to see somebody who's into true crime books too." he grinned a bit foolishly.

"Oh, um.. sure." he grinned at her as she offered for him to sit down. He pulled his bag from his shoulder and pulled the chair across from her out, seating himself. "Not like I have anywhere better to go. May as well get to know somebody." he smiled. "So, are you from around here? LA or any of it's sub-devisions- Beverly Hills, all that."

"Yep. I'm a total gang banger. I represent west side." he brought his fingers up and made a "w". He chuckled and shook his head. "Nah, I'm a noob. Just moved from Detroit, so I guess I'd be east side." he grinned and shrugged slightly. "Like I know anything about gangs. They'd see me and fall over laughing. Thats ghetto hardcore." he laughed.

He laughed at her mimic of the gang bangers. It was great to see a sense of humor in her charm. Funny, pretty, smart- this girl was somebody he definitely didn't expect to meet in Los Angeles. "Well, at least we know that instead of busting caps in they asses we could always just bust a move and let them bust a gut." he shook his head in slight amusement at how dorky he certainly seemed. But why hide it? She didn't seem to mind he was a nerd- in fact she had a presence that was comfortable and he didn't need to worry about how dorky he was. "That's true LA there." he nodded.

"Yeah. My grandma lives here. My dad just moved my twin sister and I out here after he and my mom divorced. Called it a "fresh" start." he shrugged and shook his head. "Kinda feels like I'm alone though. Only really got myself most the time. Of course it's nothing like what you're going through. I mean, you litereally are by yourself. That's gotta be hard." He paused and thought for a moment. "So why LA anyways? Besides being a total gang banger." he winked

"Well that's cool." he gave her a reassuring smile. "Be pretty neat to have that kind of freedom or adventurous spirit. Think my sister got the most of that. I'm the excess of nerd, if you can't tell." he shook his head. "Should probably let you keep on with your lunch and book." he stood up and thought. "But would you want to come hang out some time? You know, if you're not busy that is." he scratched the back of his head.
