The day that is set aside for your Initiation into Second Degree is on Saturday- October 18, 2008 (pacific daylight savings time).
You must set this FULL DAY aside as there are things you will be doing from the time you awake until you go into the initiation in the Sacred Circle at 7p.m. In the evening. If you work...it is imperative that you take this day off or be able to have a sick day. This will give you time to rest, prepare for and contemplate this next phase of your training.
Second Degree is a year of service and learning to put into practice what you have learned. You must be able to confidently be able to lead and teach as a confident Priest/ess. You will learn to do this by being in charge of certain things this year. One is helping with the First Degree Dedicants and learning to puttogether ritual. As you know, you will be in charge of the New Moon Esbats this year so do review your ritual lesson and start practicing your writing of the ceremonies. You have done very well in the past with your solitary rites ...Now it is time for you to move into a more public Circle.
Be proud of your accomplishments and know that you will be representing the Goddess, your coven and yourself as a First Degree Priestess. Now you Live your Station with every breath.
In these next few days, I would like you to think about what you see is your personal life path and what you feel the Lord & Lady is portraying to you as you pursue your next step in service to the Path of the Wise. This is a very serious step for you and one that should not be taken lightly.
