Greetings Dear One, I am so happy that you have joined me at Light & Shadows and I look forward to being the one you have chosen to help guide and further your path. I know it is not just a schooling that you are wanting and it makes me so happy that you have come to me as I am one that believes there is much more to following our calling than just a bunch of book learning. We must live our path daily to receive the truest blessings that is in store for us as the Lord & Lady show us all the ways to our future.
The day that is set aside for your Dedication is __date and time__ (pacific daylight savings time), This will give you time to rest, prepare for and contemplate this life-changing move you have made.
During this time, I would like you to write an essay about what you see is your personal life path and what you feel the Lord & Lady is portraying to you as you pursue your new path. Some of the things that I need you to write about is why you want to dedicate into the Light & Shadows Coven and your feelings about dedicating your life to this path . This is a very serious step for you and one that should not be taken lightly.
I will also need you to give your full name address and contact telephone number and e-mail for your file.
During this ceremony, you will be given a sacred name that will be chosen as I meditate and lift you up to the Goddess. If this is not acceptable to you, you must state so now.
Tools Needed for Rite:
Plant (a plant that is about to bloom that you feel especially drawn to.)
Parchment that you write an affirmation on which is the following:
"I, ________________, in the presence of all who are here, dedicate myself to the Goddess and my chosen path, and will seek to do Her will as She speaks to me.
As a Daughter of the Goddess, I shall keep silent all things to me entrusted by those who ask silence of me.
I open myself to Her, so that I go forward from this day, reborn in Her love. I go in perfect Love and perfect Trust.
Blessed Be."
Chalice filled with a mixture of half water and half red wine.
A Sage bundle or Sage incense
Matches... In which the book cover is blank or has been blackened with paint or marker so that no writing is present.
A Crystal
A Feather (White, if possible, but if one comes to you by natural means..it is the one you should use.)
3 Candles..
[1.] One of your birth month color (do some research on this (this will represent you)
[2.] One WHITE (this one represents the Goddess.)
[3.] One RED which represents "Fire"

Instructions for use will be in the ceremony.
The dedicant should arrange these in front of the monitor or close enough to be able to touch each one during the ceremony.
It is imperative that the entire day of the ceremony is set aside for preparation and that , a special robe made by your own hand be warn after taking the ritual bath is taken. You will anoint your entire body with a combination of oils, (I will give you the recipe soon.)
In the days ahead..I want you to hand sew a simple gown for your ceremony...it can be as simple as a white sheet with a hole for your head and sewn up the sides...You are coming to the Lord and Lady as a virgin and white is the symbol of virginity. This is all you will wear to your dedication.....you will be skyclad beneath.
