The Witch's Closet

It is time to be thinking of all the things you, as a practitioner of the Wise Walk has in your home to use when the need arises. It will not always be handy to have to run to the store or go out in nature when you need to perform magick or do an emergency spell to help yourself or another. There are times that you must do something at an instant and when you do not have the things you may need such as a healing candle or a stone for a talisman, you feel like you are handicapped. Ii not like you cannot do things without these objects, but to focus your intent by having the correct tools to focus that power to send to a purpose is pretty handy. Plus, I can attest that the power thta you conjur seems much more potent when you have added associations like the scents, oils, colors , stones, etc.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to have all your rools and supplies for all your magickal work in one place instead of running all over, out and about to gather all the things you need for your magickal doings? Every witch sould have a Witchest Cabinet or WItch's Closet.

One of the first things you may like to do is to find this place you want to designate for your supplies. a closet can be fashioned into an awesome storage area but most of us never have one that is not full of other things. But look in your closets and see if there might be one that could be cleared out and used for your spcial storage area.

Another thought is a dresser or armoire There ae so many types avaiable and many can be found at yard sales and second hand stores (a witch's best areas to aquire perfect items of magick.) Look around and see what you can come up with.

Finally it comes to stocking the Witch's supplies and here is where the imagination and your personal practice will rule. There are many things you might place there. For herbs storage..I love to get canning jars (halp pint jars are perfect to have a great supply in small quantities so they do not grow old and can be on a "grocery list" to replentish when you get low.

Assignment:

Find some kind of cabinet or empty closet in your home or sacred space to store your magickal items.
It doesn't need to be brand new, because you are going to need to cleanse and consecrate it anyway. It can either be a separate cabinet in your kitchen or something that fits under your altar. Be creative!

Organize your things and label what needs to be labeled and take a picture of it and send it to Lady Q at [email protected]
