The voyage is relaxing but the breeze shares an uneasiness that early spring usually does not have.

Something foreboding seems to hang just out of reach and you know the seer is right in suggesting you prepare a protection talisman in your journey.

You feel the urgency as you think about the Egg and that the Trolls never keep such a treasure uneaten for long unless there was something in it for them.

You shudder to think that there is a possibility that the Dark Sorceress might have a hand in this plot. They were definitely in search of the egg for a reason. but what is it??

You feel a tug at your heart as you think of the mother phoenix that suffers both physically and mentally. You wonder if she is better as you whisper to the Goddess to watch over both mother and unborn hatchling.

The awesome Akasha's Gate comes into view and it never ceases to take your breath away as you see it's majesty. The impressive hall has existed for many centuries.

All important things have been stored since the beginning of the time. Everything ever known of the Isle of Light & Shadows lies in the volumes of massive books stored there. All that enter with a positive heart have never been denied access to the Libraries of Time.

You bid your farewells to the shipmates and are on your way once more. You have been to this Library many times and go directly to the area you need to find the perfect directions to make the talisman.

After finding your quarry, you read to see that you must have an herb of the earth from the Shire. You then must have a vial of perfectly colored water tapped from the Rainbow Falls...you also must chip a shard of the glassy dried Lava Flow that is only found on the far side of the Dragon Peak. and finally you must acquire a feather from the Magickal Phoenix..

"Oh my!!", you say to yourself, "What lies ahead!"

You decide you must not wait but start right to your task.

The Shire was not far and you make good time as you go to the Kitchen Witches to acquire the required Herb (You must go to the Kitchen Witch board and find an herb of protection and thank the person that posted the information.). You bid your friends adieu and head to the Rainbow Falls.

You know that it must be a certain color of water that you get so as you travel, you think of the color that will best work for your protection talisman... (You must go to the Color Magick Board and look for a post for a protection color..you must check back through previous pages -possible- but you will find what you seek...then post a thank-you to the witch that provided you with this information.)

It was tricky to capture the right color of the magickal water, but you succeed and start the hike to the other side of the volcano, Dragon's Peak!

This, you know is always a treacherous mountain and one you must be careful around. One wrong step and you could fall into it's deep ravines or worse yet, could awaken the Dragon's fire.

As you look around you hope to find the glassy shard, close to the base of the mountain.

Hours pass with no luck and you climb still higher... until you notice a glint sticking out of the grayish ash that covers the slope. As you walk toward it, the dusty ash covers your shoes. You wipe away the glint..there is the shard...perfect .....and stuck!!!

You take out your athame and hope the tip is strong enough to pry the shard out of it's resting place. UUUNNNHHHHH!!! SNAP! it is out! but what is that rumble?

You look up and see the spit and sputter of glowing red sparks!

Then the ground around the hole where the shard once lay now was shaking and becoming hot... You instinctively know what is about to happen and you run...

KA-PLOWWW!!! BOOM!! Behind you the roar is deafening and you know that even looking back can mean instant death.

You run and run and your heart is pounding faster than your feet are touching the ground. No time to think..just get out of the way of the Lava flow!!

It seems as if you're running forever. You can't feel the heat of the fiery lava now, and you slow down as you see where your panic has taken you.

You realize now that you were in the Canyon of Secrets...where you knew Spirits of many guides and elders tend to communicate. You can't go any further as you feel the salty breeze on your face and you collapse onto the sandy beach that is washed white by the Sea of Dreams.
