Note # 13 - Elvendale encounter

Time passes as the terrain starts to change. You know that you are getting near the Elven village where magick is so natural and the powerful against evil that trolls do not even try to tread on their paths.

You can feel your talisman drinking in the energy and know this was a good thing. You take it out of your tunic so it can breathe in the magick and charge to the task you will face soon as you approach the inevitable.

A twinkle buzzes your face and you know instantly that a pixie has found you and is playing her mischief of hide and seek. Flicker here...flicker there...pixies can be so annoying at times! But you try to stay positive and call to the little pest. "Pixie! Good Day to you and Blessed Be!!"

She lands on your pack and flicks your ear with the tiniest of giggles then flutters off again.

You start to feel the presence of many little folk and know that you are getting close to Elvendale. The floor was a mat of clover all sporting the magickal leaves. You pick one and put it as an addition to your talisman pouch. You can feel the new power surge as all merged with the Faery Clover.

As you approach the misty grove you notice the lushness all around and take a deep cleansing breath as you call out, "I know you are all here. Please, I come in search of a place to partake of a meal. I thirst and am weary as I search for the thieves that have taken the Golden Egg of the Phoenix."

A most beautiful Elven Faery appears and greets you. "We have heard you were on your way. We have nourishment of the finest nectar and the most pleasurable crumpets", her voice was almost a whisper and rang of the sweetness of the most hypnotizing song, "Please come and join us in the Faery Circle."

After visiting a bit and meeting several other of the residents of Elvendale, you are shown a special passageway that will get you to the Fortress undetected.

In a wink, you are within the Faery Circle, not on the surface at all. Magick is here and you worry for the slightest of seconds that this could be a trap. You had heard of the Faery Magick capturing people in their Faery Circle and keeping them for years.

"Do not fear, dear friend, you are safe and we do not wish you harm. We know that you champion the Golden Treasure. We know the importance more than most here on the island, but are helpless to do anything other than give you this special Faery Dust that may help you in the Fortress to find your way safely. May your path be safe and your quest be successful.

We know that only you can do this for all of the Isle of Light & Shadows. Fare thee well."

With an anxious good -bye, you are again, on your way.
