Historic Cave Entance Built by the CCC in 1936.

Note # 14 : The Crystal Cavern

You enter a tiny cave that you have to get on your knees to access and crawl in darkness.

The smell is rich of mother earth and you feel a slight slope as you make your way through.

You do see a illumination ahead so you are relieved that it is only a short distance to the actual cavern itself.

As you reach the source or the light, your breath is taken away at the beauty. Crystalline stalagmites & stalactites grace the cavern and some type of iridescent glow seems to energize all around so it is nearly brighter than daylight within the earth.

This must be where the Fae get their dusting powder by scraping this wonderful ingredient from the walls.

The dampness is not unpleasant. You hear water and know there must be a magickal pool of water near.

You know better than to take anything from this secret faery place so you hurry over and around the outcroppings that continue to amaze and mesmerize you.

You wonder what you will encounter when you emerge.

Will there be a Troll army? You had heard so many terrifying stories about the area of your destination and you have to fight yourself at every step to not turn back. You are thankful for an inner prompting that urges you onward.

You are prepared. You have a pack full of magickal things and the knowledge of the ancients blazoned into your mind. You recount your adventure to this point and realize how much more you know that when you began just days ago.

As you mentally inventory your assets, hearing the far away screech of gulls and slapping of waves snaps you from your reverie and you are suddenly aware that you are approaching the infamous Pirates Cove just ahead.

You tend to go a bit slower as a bit of uncontrolled fear rushes over you. But you are here now, and you peek out to see, as you dreadfully had feared...a docked ship with the Jolly Roger flying from it's mast, and hear the gruff voices of some men in the Mists.
