You can't see the map well enough by the light of this one torch, so you tuck it safely back inside your cloak and go around lighting the remaining torches on the wall of this treasure room.
You see the amazing contents of the evil Sorceress's stash. Gold, jewels, many items that seem very magickal, scrolls in pottery jars, statuary, some covered with dust, others seem to be recent acquisitions...then you see lying in crumpled heaps here and there against the walls.... bones covered with rags, and mummified corpses.
Some have torn and blood stained clothing indicating they had died of wounds... murdered!!!
Other bodies seem to have died from just being trapped in this room. A shudder runs through your back as you think of the consequences these people suffered.
Closer examination of their remains show something that disgusts you deeply... almost all the dead have one thing in common.... They have ALL been chewed on, probably by mice or rats.
You hear a high pitched squeal and some scurrying from the other side of the room and realize you may suffer the same fate.
Your hand instinctively moves to protect the bulge in your pouch and you feel the vibrational energy of the egg through the leather. You softly whisper, "Don't worry little one, I will get out of here!"
You reach inside your cloak and again remove the map Fyre gave you at the Inn and open it. The labyrinth looks like the Celtic knotting of a deranged person who had used intestines for ropes. Little sparkles on the map catch your eye and you move even closer to a torch for better illumination of the parchment.
As you turn and tilt the map you see strange rainbow like printing that seems to move on the page in the upper left hand corner, you squint to focus on them as they brighten, fade and brighten again in the lights. It reads: (see attached map)
