When times of adversity seem at their worst and defeat seems most assured - hidden from view beneath you, is often the greatest, roller coaster ride.

You have already accomplished the heroic climb and the wonderful value of the hard lessons you have learned will become very clear - and sooner than you imagine.

Before the beginning of great brilliance, there must be chaos.
~ I Ching

Writer Anne Lamott espouses the idea of "shitty first drafts." Not quite as elegantly put, but the same thing.

Don't try to do it perfectly the first time.

Just do it.

You can refine, perfect, polish later.

Get it out.

Take the first step.

Run with it.

Chaos, then brilliance.

From the erotic ocean of the unconscious
the sun will rise
and shine on the sand and the rounded stones
battered by an infinity of challenges
to the shape of perfect love.

Be brave, and do difficult things.

Don't be afraid to take a chance when the opportunity of a lifetime appears.

You may never get another chance.
Grab it now.

Everyone understands that burning wood produces fire. But when fire feeds on fire, that is a rare condition that yields the greatest illumination. Two flames come together and yield light more magnificent than either could have given forth alone.
~ Deng Ming-Dao, "365 Tao"

Fire feeding on fire.

Once in awhile you meet someone who inspires you, who pushes you to greater heights, who helps you to accomplish things you may never have been able to accomplish alone.

Nourish the spark.

Cherish the partnership.

Fan the flame.

When you come to the edge of all the light you have and must take a step into the darkness of the unknown, believe that one of two things will happen to you: either there will be something solid for you to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly.

Tell me your dreams, and I'll tell you who you are.

Dreams are fragile things. You have to be careful who you tell them to.

Sometimes people step on them on purpose, and sometimes they step on them without meaning to. Everyone needs someone to share their dreams with. You have someone, even though you may not know it.

Just think.

Who do you trust enough to tell your dreams

To be fearful and see roadblocks and obsession when a friend simply offers unconditional love, is to view life through a distorting mirror - to be blind to the grail when synchronicity offers your soul's only meaningful journey.

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
~ St. Francis of Assisi

Just for today, don't rise to the challenge. Turn the other cheek. Meet conflict with serenity. Don't let others disturb your tranquility.
You are calm, cool, collected.
You are serene.
You are Zen.
You are peace.

Fall backward into the arms of trust.

Trust your intuition. Trust yourself. Trust nature.
Trust the universe.

Everything works out for the best, even if it may not seem that way now.

We don't always know what the greater plan is, we only know our little part of it.

Trust that things are happening for the higher good.

If your heart is pure, The gate will open.
