Hi All?

I tried to get a picture of Ken & me on the page yesterday and I’ve forgotten how. Will try again later.

I couldn’t believe it about the motorbike accident, I keep thinking, it can’t be true, with all these coincidences but it is of course. I’m going to have a few words with Tiff at labour weekend but don’t want to spoil the weekend. She’d hate it to be stuck here at home with me if she had an accident & lived to tell the tale. And all the time, effort & money put into her law studies etc. Ken spent nearly an hour on the phone to her last night and most of it was raving on about politics. Our elections are very soon too.

While ken was shearing the rams-boys yesterday I said it’d be a shame to spend my $900 on a tattoo and he said I’ll pay for it. It all comes from the same place anyway. But the thought was there.

I have peonies but I killed one when the kids were young with spray and now I’ve got four and they’re I keep having to move them to find the right spot, the first one I’ve had for years and it still hasn’t flowered.

Wow that insurance sounds a lot Tigger although Dane was quite close to $2000 at first, its getting a bit better every year he gets older.

It's probably about a ten hour drive to Picton then an other hour or two on a ferry to get to Wellington. Ken spend $500 to get there & back on his own three years ago. So it's getting better.

I've been going around the paddocks cleaning the water troughs so that the girls can get some nice clean water to drink for feeding their lambs. I can only do about 9 a day or we'd run out of water. Must go now. Have a lovely day.

Morning ladies
I mustn't be long here as I have sooo much to do, I'm beginning to feel swamped. I am very tired, 4 late night clinics and then late nights in bed also have finally caught up on me. Last night's clinic was the first time I had worked that one of an evening and it was horrendously busy seeing as the patients are mostly asian and the Dr was off last week which was the first clinic they could attend after their Eid had finished. I never want to work another one like that again. Took me ages to fall asleep as my head was buzzing when I finally fell asleep and then again when I woke this morning .

Red I did see the snowman and have seen them before elsewhere and it is lovely. A beautiful present. I'm sure Patty will love it. It's funny how there is one person we buy for and you can find lots of suitable presents for them and love buying for them and then there are the others you have no idea what to get.

Farmeress peonies take either 3 or 5 years to flower after first being planted and if you keep moving them around then they go right back to year 1 again each time they are replanted.

A day of boring chores here so the sooner I crack on the sooner I'll have got on top of the bulk of it.
My mum and dad have been at Blackpool Pontins all week and are due home this morning so no doubt they will be calling around 11am so I have an hour to get moving. My Mum sent me a text last night saying they'd been to a spiritualist church with my brother and my grandma had 'come through' with a message for my brother. Can't wait to hear what it was. That is my Dad's mum, she was a lovely lady and was loved a great deal by the whole family and died 20 years ago. Oh my can't believe it's that long ago.

Right best get going.....

Morning ladiesOh farmeress peonies are so pretty, you have had them a long time.  What kind of tattoo would you have?  Yes, our elections are soon, but I wish they wouldn't take Coronation street of so we could listen to the debate between Helen Clark our prime minister and John Key the leader of the oppersition, any more.

We had coronation street this evening, we are up to where violet is just pregnant with the "gay" young mans baby.

I was going into Wellington with Bill this morning but there was a big hold up Police everywhere and fire engines there had been a terrible accident and a car was right over on its roof.  I hate to say this but there was a motor bike laying just a little in front.  I said a little prayer for those involved.  We turned round and came back, did some errands, and some work from home.

That does sound a lot to insure your boy's car Tiggs.  Would it be cheaper if it was insured in Wac's name and it had third party insurance so James could drive it?  Or wouldn't that work?  By now you can probably tell I don't do the insuring of the cars in this household

Will lisa's son have to have a knee replacement if his knee is crushed Red? How is he doing.?

Julie, take things easy this weekend moving into your new home.  Hope all goes well and you are safely settled in soon,
and that you don't do anything but let others do the work and all the moving.  Do take care of yourself.  How is Daisy doing, and your other two children, bet they love having a new baby sister.

We have the day off to-morrow, Saturday.  Bill and I are going to a Cooking School for the day.  We have been before and it is so much fun.  There is some cooking which we sample and then we all sit out on the verandah, which has grape vines over it and have a five course meal.  This cooking day is about Chirstmas Fare.

The Lotto over here has gone up to three hundred million dollars, so I got a ticket.  If the two scratchie's I got at the same time are any guide it doesn't look hopefull

Have a good day everyoneI am going to take myself off to bed, night night

Ann....we did that with Mark when he first got his car 3 years ago ie insure Wac and have Mark on as well but the policy is a new one then in Wac's name and not entitled to any no claim discount as his discount is on Wac's main car. Mark didn't accrue any no claims of his own either doing it that way but as he was a student at the time it was take the risk that Mark didn't have an accident which would have meant Wac's main insurance discount on his car would have been affected the next year if he had. Third party isn't an option as the car is worth too much. Although we have run that enquiry through and it is still almost the same price as fully comp so not worth taking the risk. If the car was a 'banger' then 3rd party fire and theft would be fine cos in event of an accident the insurance company would pay for repairs to any other vehicle but James would have to stand the cost of repairs or at worse the loss of his car if beyond repair or he couldn't afford to repair it.
We have run through a whole host of scenarios and what we have done is the best we have found, which is with a decent company and James will accrue no claims in his own right making it cheaper next year.
That said I am now off to bed, I didn't want to leave it till tomorrow to reply cos I might have forgotten you'd said anything Ann.
Night all
