Hi All'
Dad & Dane are off doing a boys job this afternoon. We've decided to stay in Martinborough a night when we come up. I don't suppose your cooking school is that far out but you never know. It sounds like a lovely thing to do together. I would love to do that. In  the (one day) basket again. We drove around Martinborough two years ago but didn't get out of the car. Nephew Hayden had a holiday home there when he lived in Wellington. His baby girl arrived at 3.38am this morning after 26 hours in hospital. I heard the txt arrive minutes later. Apparently they were kicked out four hours after the birth, so luckily they can aford to go to a place that is like a hotel but with midwives. I hated it that Ken had to leave almost immediately after both births because they were 7pm & 10pm but I didnt sleep a wink after each. so now Hayden gets to stay with them for four nights till they all go home.
The peonie that's been there the longest, is the sickest looking though and the three I got for a xmas present two out of three are managing a lot better. Whats the best thing, tigger to put into my small water troughs that are like pots. I've tried all sorts and they need lots of water in the summer.
Dane came up with a story just after lunch. about clothes shopping. MEN,  the less it costs the more you wear it. WOMEN, the more it costs, the less you wear it. I said you'd love that one.
The boyfriend has bought Tiff a pair of motorbike gloves and she's just bought a helmet to use on his bike. I said your buying a cart before the horse aren't you.
We're looking at giving Dane some money towards a boby kit for his car, for his birthday & Chritmas present.
Aren't you getting sick of hearing about Joe the plumber Red or are you not getting all this poliltics that I'm getting. I do find the TV ads in between quite amusing and different. While you were away I mentioned that Ken's on Fox TV all the time. Then yesterday I watched a bit of the view. Tiffany watches them a bit when she's home. I do like Whoopy.

Good morning ladies I watch "The View" farmeress.  I like Whoopy, Joy and Barbara Walters. Not too keen on Elizabeth at the moment as all she does is argue and say McCain is wonderfull!!  She does not seem to have any other conversation.  We went to Ruth Pretty's cooking school for the day to-day it is just up the road from us, about three quarters of an hour. It is at Te Horo.  It was a Christmas dinner.  Bill was not very impressed with the food this time.  He likes his Roast Turky, roast vegtables, all the trimmings, this was baked salmon with carmelized onions in the middle.  The Christmas pudding was nice.  There were about five courses all in all.  We did have a nice day out and a surprise for Bill, it is his Birthday on Monday and I had told them at the cooking school.  Well, his face was a picture, and everyone sang happy Birthday to him.  He is still in shock I think.  He got a special little cream "cup cake" with a candle on it.  He said he was embarrassed  Not as embarrased as I was when he told me I had plenty of time to go to the toilet at the airport then got them to call out my name to say the plane was leaving,  Anyway he was pleased with his little cake and has brought it home

I like Larry King on C.N.N. but lately it has been all about Obama and McCain so don't watch now.

It looks like I won't be able to get out of making the Christmas Mince Pies, thought I would but I asked Ruth Pretty at the cooking school today how to get round it as I wouldn't be standing long enough at that time to make them and she said I could make them then freeze them so now I don't have any excuses!!  I will be making the Christmas cake in a couple of weeks.  Think I've got a new bottle of Brandy somewhere!

Hope all is well with you all, take care of yourselves, I'm off for a cup of hot chocolate and relax been a busy day
