Oh sorry everyone, I forgot to put Thursday before the date  I have a very busy day today, but really wanted to say Happy Birthday to Plink and wish her many happy returns
Then I realised it was still Wednesday "at home"

I am supposed to be in Wellington soon but got caught up with leaving the house neat and tidy, Oh why is it I can't leave the house unless the kitchen is all clean and the beds all made, surley it's not just "cos" I'm a women

Tigs I do hope someone has not spiked your boys drink.  I had mine spiked once.  I was out with my brother in law at his friends party and I was just on lemonade, then I felt the room move and felt really "funny"  luckily I was with Peter so was fine.  The next day we found out a girl had "spiked" my drink thinking I had my eyes on Peter and she was not amused as she had been trying to catch his eye for ages We never saw her do it. It is so easily done

Oh help I'm off, sleep well everyone

Hi'
What an amusing day we've had today ladies.
My hair was probaly looked a bit like curtain like in one of pictures just after i lost the weight but now I'm back to shorter again.
This morning I went to sell a truck load of wool. And when I got there I started chatting away to a new man there. When the normal man came over to help I noticed a very old bike parked up near us. It was then that (I realised) Oh Christ!  (I said to myself), I was talking to a prisoner. The new Milton Hilton prison has only been there for a couple of years and I had heard that some are allowed to bike to work occassionally. Just as well I only filled out our rural delivery number and not the road & rapid number which I usually do. He had a special T-shirt sitting on the bike seat but I didn't think to look for black arrows.
When I got home I told Ken and he seems to think, I can really pick them. Well that's a stupid thing to say when I picked him duh!
Goodness Ann, it sounds like you were spiked quite recently. I've had Ken looking after me since I was 15 years old so I"ve not been anywhere where that could occur.
I was really annoyed to see in large words on the tv screen this afternoon the two ingredients for poor mans herion. And children have access to that!
One of my legs feels sore sometimes up near the hip but it's probably the the ball or something at the top of my right leg, but if it gets sore now it reminds me to have some fish oil & glucosamine.
There are two girls getting married before xmas that lived in our district so I had to go the Balclutha to get a recipe book for each of them which we send around for all the ladies to fill in their favourite recipes. It's good that I get it back last now, and I copied of quite a few last time.

Goodness farmeress what makes you think I was "spiked" quite recently?  It was years ago,we had all be invited to a Birthday party but my husband was working and my mother in law baby sat, so I went with my brother in law.  The girl had never met me before and thought I was competition.  I was just trying to say to Tigs that the same thing could have happened to her boy thats all. THE SPIKING OF THE DRINK Oh this has become so long winded!!

We are going off to Taupo for a couple of days over Labour Weekend.  The weather isn't very good at the moment just hope it brightens up a bit.  STill this is the sort of weather that is good for catching Trout Now that is whistfull thinking.  Those Trout are clever fish

Did a lot of food shopping to-day, on my list was five things, $240 later and I had a full cart to go through the check out (Just thought I would start printing my own money)

Which reminds me that film "The Counterfieters" is very good if you have the chance to see it.  All about the Germans getting the Jewish prisioners to make counterfiet money in the prisioner of war camp.   A serious film but very good.

Tigs I am sure your hair will look great. Every time I go to the hairdresser and say "a trim please" she cuts it much too short, What part of "only a trim" does she not understand!!   Red you aren't thinking of cutting your hair are you?   Hello Yvette, hope you and your family are fine

Well I will of to bedenjoy your day ladies

Morning ladies
What a lovely idea the recipe book is Farmeress. Crafty of you to make a note of one or two for next time. lol
Just shows doesn't it that you were talking to a criminal and no idea about it, I suppose his felonywasn't anything too serious which makes him a threat to people or he wouldn't have been allowed there...I hope!
When you said wool Farmeress I imagined assorted colours in nice ball shapes like I see it in the wool shops! lol Take a step or two back Tigs and imagine the off white greasy stuff! lol

I do exactly the same about the house Ann before I leave for the day/afternoon. Although at one stage when I was at the 'home' and doing a lot of hours and the boys were mid teenage and home alone during the day in the holidays, I didn't have the time at 8am nor the inclination knowing that the boys would 'personalise' the house in my absence anyway. One particular day Wac needed to speak to a neighbour about a boxing helmet they had asked him to bring home and he couldn't find their phone number so rang our home phone and got one of the boys to bring the wife in to use the phone. Oh my! I could have killed him. At that time they didn't have children and they are the type to have quite a clinical minimalist house with very little in the way of colours and ornaments so my colourful and untidy house must have looked to have been a real tip to her, especially seeing she had to go through the kitchen to get to the phone in the dining room. lol

I had a terrible day yesterday with text messages banding back and forth between James and myself as he had the worse day of his week up to that point. However this morning he seems much better and was actually able to drive his car to work with Wac as a passenger and Wac brought the car home but will be going back for him this evening. If he continues to improve he may be ok to drive to and from work by himself tomorrow.
I've told him he is not going out this weekend as he was planning on going with the same friends from last week.  Next weekend whilst we are away he is off to Leeds to go out with Mark and his uni friends I'm worried already in case it happens again and we won't be around afterwards. He's sensible though and is planning on not drinking (I may even persuade him not to go yet) and if he does drink and feels bad again I know he won't drive his car anywhere.

I think I need a new mobile phone as mine keeps sending messages intended for James to someone else even when I use the reply facility. It's not as if this person is next to him on my address list, they are actually five numbers away! I've had the phone 2 maybe 3 years now so I best start having a look at what I fancy instead.

Short shift at work today...only a clinic for 3 hours this afternoon and one of our easier ones at that.
I intend to be busy about the house before though, including cleaning James bedroom window and frame and washing his curtains as they haven't been done this year as yet.
Robert also in line for his shower/bath session but I'll leave him for another hour and hope the nurse doesn't come too early.

Have a good one everyone.

Lol at the trout Ann.....aren't you supposed to 'tickle' them out of the water?
I too had a hairdresser that always cut far too much off when asked to only do a 'trim' I didn't dare ever ask her to give it a good cut or I could have ended up with a short back and sides. Bit like it is now!!   lol
I'll bear that in mind about the film Ann...I do like the old 'war films' even though some of them are quite sad when you think that those things really happened to people.
Have a peaceful night.
Wac did he had one of the painkillers that I took after my 'ectomy and hasn't had pain overnight but has now gone to the dentisit to see what they say.

Just a quick "hello" to ask you Tigs what is the name of the magical pain killers that you were given after your 'ectomy? If they sort out "man" tooth ach they must be good!
I am on the look out for good painkillers at the moment but don't know what to ask for.  The ones I've been given come with side effects!!

Ann, they are called Kapake - co-codamol which contain 500mg of paracetamol and 30mg of codeine phosphate. I also find diclofenac (these are a non steriod anti inflammatory) are great for my 'feet problems' at the moment which I also took at regular intervals with the Kapake for a few weeks after my op. You really need to find something that isn't too powerful as you are needing to take them regularly and this combination of tablets in my opinion and personal experience are 'just enough' to control the pain and give enough comfort and ease of mobility.
The kapake can cause drowsiness initially but it soon wears off and as Wac found gives you a good nights sleep.

Wac just back from the dentist and had his filling drilled out and replaced with a 'temporary pack' containing clove oil. After our hol he is going to have the nerve removed and the tooth refilled.

Off to give Robert his shower/bath now......

Hello girls,

OHHH  Tigs,  tht sounds so painful it sent a shockwave through my gums.  Good luck to Wac with that one.
Good to hear James is feeling a bit more normal.

It has been my observation tht noone comes to visit with a clean house. They all wait until your ill, or very busywith other things to pay a visit. I can keep my house spotless for weeks, and yet the day I leave it without doing the kitchen, someone is there when I return home.

LOL Ann at your trout,  I have bene fishing my whole life, but I have never been fly fishing for trout.  Maybe one day I will learn.  It's crazy that you have to buy fishing liscense even if you only go once a year.

Cut my hair,  I only think about doing it once a day or so,

Lol at your conversation with the inmate Farmeress.  My Ken was an inmate many many years ago as a teen hoodlum, lol  Some of my favorite recipes come from ladies books from churches and such. I also have 3 Amish cookbooks.  Delicious breads and pies.   Most of them are way too much for a single family but can be altered to suit.

Joe is waiting for me to join him in a poker game online, lol  The boy thinks I have too much time or something.  I will humor him for half an hour or so, if my $$  holds up

I have to get the heat/air people back out here. Seems as though they crossed a wire or something because when the heat cuts off, the fan keeps on and makes it cold again.
I will give them a call when I am done on here.

I have been taking omega 3 supplements with my regular daily vitamin for quite some time now, since I rarely eat fresh fish.  I don't care for salmon much, although I love my Mom's salmon patties (  they are made from canned salmon)  I am more for Tuna steaks or grouper.  mmmmm  grouper,  delicious.

Time I move along since my font has gone ugly.
 have a nice day
