Back again!!  No one been in I see Oh well it's holiday Monday here so perhaps you are all having a well earned breakfast in bed with a read of the papers

Oh Yvette I am so sorry David was made redundant, but I am happy for you he is being paid until January, with redunducy money.   I do so hope he will be able to get another job again soon.  It must be very worrying for you all.  Do hope that sore throat and cough has eased now, if not you will have to take very good care of yourself and stay warm at home.

The new Multiply site for Ladies take a break, Have I missed the site address?  I have had something for Keyboard natter, but it would not take my usual name, now its going to get back to me!! It would be just too awful if we all could not find something like we have now.  I am sure you will be able to pull a rabbit out of the hat Yvette and find us something suitable.  Then all I have to do is find out how to get into it, hopfully you will have the patience to teach me again.

I had a little Ford Excort, a silver one, it was called
the silver bullet, If James likes his half as much as I liked mine he will be a very happy chappie Tigs.  Oh Tigs I just hate it when I phone and only get voice messages, then get the "where were you" type question!!.

Hi Lilabs, nice to hear your news and to know all is well with you down there at the bottom of the South Island.

You Sound like Woopie on "The View" Red, she is saying the same thing.  She will vote for the person that bails out the American household more than the people that have made the mess of things.  Do hope Phillip is getting better it must be so painfull for him.  I thought of both him and Robert on our trip home to-day.  We saw several motorbikes weaving in and out of the traffic and had to be so carefull.  They were riding those bike as if they were indestructable, one just missed hitting the front of the car in front and it was only that the driver pulled back, I just could not look.

Sorry you have lost your large palm, you must have had some wind to blow it over like that Red.

Enjoy your day everyoneI am off to take the last of the hoiday washing out of the drier, yes, I have been lazy and burned up the electricity but it's all done now, thank heaven.

Lol Ann and welcome back. I missed you. No chance of me having been in inbetween your two posts of today as it was 4am and 8am approx and I was well fast asleep.

I too have the dryers going as I only caught up on last weeks ironing last night so now accumalating another pile as I type. Have to keep on top of it as I go along this week though as I don't want to leave much if any when we go away at the weekend.

Saturday was a day of tidying and then went to do my session at the craft shop. Made a few xmas cards in the evening.

Yesterday I went to church and Dad and I are going to have to rethink where we sit over the winter as our usual pew is by the side door and there is such a draft blows through, my right side ends up numb after an hour.

Then James drove us to Leeds and did very well on the motorway with guidance from Mum. He had some about town in a traffic jam experience as well, which was good for his handbrake release clutch control speed as he got a lot quicker with that process by the time we were coming home.

We took Mark for a lovely meal out, the boys had the carvery and I had a starter of pate and a starter sized portion of a salmon, prawn and advocadot (sp) salad for my main with a filched roast potato from Wac. I didn't want the roast dinner as I can make that anytime and I fancied something a 'bit different'.
Unfortunately Robert didn't come with us as he finds being out more than an hour or two quite tiring poor lad.

I'd bought Mark a few things for his birthday on Wednesday and wrapped them individually and then made a large parcel of them all and wrapped them together. Mark is intrigued as to what is in it as he thinks it is one thing. lol
I've also put some money in his card and then after the meal I took him in NEXT and bought him a couple of jumpers and a shirt he said he'd seen and liked but couldn't afford. Aw Bless. He's got a lovely week planned with his friends with at least 5 different nights activities on the cards.
Oh to be young and free again.....

On the way back I 'allowed' Wac to sit in the front of the car but after 20 mins of wrong turns due to Wac not being able to see the road signs without his glasses, he and James started arguing so James pulled up and ordered his Dad out of the car. lol Fortunately for Wac he was allowed back in again but in the back seat. pmsl. He sulked and fell asleep whilst I calmed James down and we drove safely and successfully home. Oh dear..... lol
Then I spent two hours ironing whilst watching last weeks Silent Witness on iplayer.
Today I have to crack on with washing, cleaning Mark's room and changing his bed as he is due home this weekend but we won't be here.
Give Robert a shower/bath and change his dressings.
Part prepare tea and then go to work!
I really need to get a handle on clothes etc for my jollies as I don't want to leave it to the last min as we leave home very early morning around 4am on Sat and I am at the hospital with Robert on Friday which takes up a huge chunk of the day.
So without further ado I must get on....
Tata for now.

Hey girls,
Yup its tired me, nice to see all yours news and mine not so good,my family and I went to hubbys brothers house because we got news that my father-inlaw had 2 strokes over the weekend and had gone into hospital this morning, so we were waiting for phone calls and another brother-inlaw to tell us news so we worried all day and bugger it we had to come home so I could have a shower and get ready for work.
Got to work and I am still worried but carried on and was glad 9pm came so I quickly cashed up,cleaned and turned everything off and locked up went home and found my sister-inlaw Marie at home babysitting my kids cos hubby had gone to the hospital to see dad,so still worried and a half hour later Billy(hubby) came home and told me dad is comfortable but irritable being in hospital of course he is lol.

MY father-inlaw is a greenkeeper for his local Outdoor Bowls Club, but then we found out he was looking after another one and what do you think happened yes dad over did it and ended up having 2 strokes, stubborn old fool-- which he has been told already.

But at least he is on the mend now, tomorrow he is having more tests to see if anything else is wrong.
Keeping my fingers crossed that he will be all right.

Just worked our Labour Weekend and it was pretty busy but good.
Weather has been beauitful and hot which is a plus :D
OK everyone will catch up another day am very tired.

Goodnight/day and see you soon.

Lilbabs, so sorry to hear about your F-in-Law....hope he is soon on the mend and doesn't overdo it again. It's good to keep busy and be active but unfortunately until someone has done that bit too much they don't realise it is just a tad more than they can cope with.

GOod morning,

Welcome back Ann!  Nice to see you and that youwere able to avoid a collision with those motor bike riders! Phillip has been to the doctor for better pain meds, and his Mom tells me he is much happier with less pain. Why they could not give him a stronger dose upon release from the hospital is beyond me. No fish, means you won't have to clean them
I used to watch the View more then I do today. I just do not like Elizabeth, so it keeps me away, lol.    I watch Price is Right on another channel if I am sitting here at that time. I saw a news report this mornign that those bankers and Wall Street are still taking huge bonuses to line their pockets. How do people like that sleep at night?  I also saw a great news item where a lady purchased a repossessed home from an auction and returned the keys to the woman and children who had lost it. The women did not know each othr prior to the auction and only met while the lady was watching for her home to be auctioned off. There are many good people in the world, why do all the bad ones make the mood for us?

What did I miss,  TIgs where are you off to?  LOL at  James booting his Father to the backseat, I would have given a days pay to see that, lol  Ken would not have gone quietly, he would have thrown such a fit. I suppose that is why we allow him to do what he wants, just to keep him quiet.  He thinks the world evolves around him and what he wants takes precedent over anything else in life.  He's so self centered he even thinks a mess at one of the davitas was caused purposely just for him to have to clean up. A sickness I say.

Shame about your FIL Lilbabs, I hope he continues to feel better and drops one of those jobs.

Tim and I stopped to visit with Mike & Annie yesterday on our way to work.  Someone has taken his beer, I suspect it is the grounds keeper that does the mowing.  I need to get them a fall arrangment for his vase.   I have many birthdays coming around the corner. Bob's is Friday, Tim's and Chrissy's is Sunday. Mine next, then Ken on the 1st of Dec.  and Christmas!  Still waiting for Patti's snowman to get here, which I was told was shipped a week ago.  I have another order being filled with a 6 more gifts taken care of.
TIm showed me a pic of a watch that has something to do with an ipod, ( I am gadget illiterate) so I don't know what it does, I will look for it and see how much they run.

I had a lot of trouble getting signed in here this morning so I best copy before I send , lol

Oh ANn, there is a link to the new site on Fridays thread.  Nothing like this site at all.

Take care ladies, and have a good dy,  I am off to clean up my kitchen, and get some laundry going. They are calling for drastic temperature dips tonight, so I must find room for my plants to come inside.  Oh ANn,   the palm that was knocked over is in a large pot. It stands over 6 foot high and very fanned out, so I have NO idea where I can put it. I will probably have to tie up the branches a bit and maybe it can sit in the back bathroom.

It's hardwork isn't it Red when the men are more child.
Wac was very vocal prior to being ejected from front to back and was lucky he was allowed back into the car at all. pmsl I had to laugh this evening cos Wac was accusing James of having an attitude and speaking arrogantly...hmm.... Hello... Wac.....wonder where he's got it from!  and no not me! lol

Just popped in to say Red that I posted your birthday card today as I didn't want to leave it until I got back from Malta. So if you get a white jiffy bag please do not open until your birthday. It's only a card but it's the one I said I saw an idea and thought of you.
