Good Afternoon Ladies'
Dane survived his big trip to the big city of Auckland and a lot of girls were at the concert. When he left work at 2pm to go he just walked over the bank to the airport. It was a wonder he didn't have the Airport security guards come running. The airport watch every move at work and if anything goes up to high look out. I said, they probably saw him coming and thought here comes Gomer Pyle. The planes fly that low over them that Dane threw a cricket ball into the air to see how low they were and yes the little planes are very low.
I saw a xmas tree with a train running around & around up it and wondered if was similar to what you were getting.
There was a man called Austin Hemmings that was stabbed while trying to help a girl just a few weeks ago. I very unusual thing to happen here, in fact never to an innocent bystander. He was a person who lived his life always doing the right thing and his family have received some wonderful letters. Which brings me to the point, when I was at the airport reading the paper there was an article about a man who farmed nearby. He'd saved 5 children and 2 adults from a lake at the weekend. He'd lost a toddler to drowning in the river near his house about 20 years ago and they never found the body. I want to write or something but don't know what to do.
Ken's txt'd Tiffany this morning to bet that McCain will win, probably just to wind her up again.
Good on you Red, gloat away. I'm the one that seems to have a head for fixing things. It's probably the only thing I can say I'm good at. Actually I didn't realise till then that's I was good at anything.
This morning I've been baking, I made Dane some double chocolate chip cookies for when I see him next. Some Peppermint Truffles for xmas which freeze well, and some biscuits ready for when we get shearers which won't be till December.
I would love to have a water fountain in my garden. Don't worry about your boys, Tiffany's flatmates were a strange bunch and Dane is unique too.

Morning ladies
Sorry I was absent yesterday but so much to do and so little time.
Same again today so I can't stop long....
Well done Red you gloat away all you want. Why men are the repair people I'll never know cos they only learn the job text book style but common sense or thinking outside the box doesn't come natural to them.
What a shame about the snowman, I too hope you get a replacement sorted in time.Oh how sad re that farmer losing a child like that and to not find the body either how awful. Lucky for that family he was around to prevent them suffering the same loss. I presume you want to write and express you condolences and congratulations Farmeress? If so, just write from the heart. A lovely thing to want to make contact with him.

I have so much I want to write and tell you about here but it's not that exciting only sharing my day to day stuff so don't worry your not missing out on very much.
Off now to catch up on the ironing.....

Hello ladies,

My internet connection is creating havoc on my nerves this morning so I will be brief, lol

Shame about the gentleman loosing his child and never to find the body.  Kudos for him being able to rescue a family!  I certainly hope the falla that was stabbed survived, but I am thinking not from your post.  A shame there as well. This world is so messed up.  As Tigs said,  from the heart is best, and appreciated.
Lol at our (unique) family members, Lord knows I have plenty.  The choc, choc chip cookies sound just like my hearts desire. I also have a recipe for those.  I also love my peanut butter cookies made in tiny tart tins, witha  mini reese cup nestled inside after baking so they melt into the cookie,  MMMMMMM  especially warm.  Making my mouth water now.

I am still waiting for my shipping code to send off the snowman, so I am afraid it will be a slow process, even with todays electronic age.

I am distressed to hear on the news about all the troubles witht he voting machines, have they not known this for years, like after the big mess with Al Gore and Bush in Florida?  GRRRR  politics are the worst.

No problems witht the heat anymore, and I am tempted to go get my filter back, lol   As much as it caught, I had to change them every few weeks, and these filters that they want me to use can last forever before getting filled with dust and hair, etc.  I am wondering how that can be good? Maybe they are trying reverse psychology on me , maybe they are best, but not for the heat/ repair men?  I am seriously contemplating that idea, lol

ANn I hope your having a nice time and return soon.

So busy Tigs, and the holidays are just beginning so I suspect it will get worse.  Joe wants to go shopping with this paycheck Saturday for some Christmas presents as he has nothing coming out of it.  Tim wants to go to the Chinese restaurant for his birthday and have some saki(sp) with his meal, but that will be after I return from my daytime cleaning the davitas.

Time I move along before the internet decides to go out again.  It seems to be a constant problem at lest 3 times a week or so.  I hear from everyone that this road runner is the best connection,  but I sure don't see it most days.  I know I don't want dial up as we have experienced that before.   s  l   o   w www

Have a nice day, I think our temps are coming back to normal this weekend, no more January weather in Oct. Oops make that November.  I talked to my Mom this morning and they have a couple inches of snow..

Happy Halloween, if I don't catch you before!
