Well Red, Obama is the new President, or will be in January 2009. We have had it all on our news all afternoon, needless to say my T.V. was not on for all that! How do you feel about the result?

At last the wind has died down and the sun is out again here.

This afternoon I had the lady from A.C.C. to see what help I will need when I come home from my operation. So far they have said two and half hours from three in the afternoon when Jasmine comes home until five thirty when Bill should be home so that will help quite a bit.

I thought I would be good and clear out some of my wardrobes. Well, I started then, kept thinking "I just might wear this again" it is hopeless, I just can't do it. I have heard that an "expert" said that every time you buy a new article of clothing you throw a peice of clothing out-WELL, I just find that so difficult. If there is something my daughter would like then thats fine, I can do that, but just to discard something is difficult. How do all you other ladies manage. Can you throw out "old" clothes. Some have "special" memories too

Simon has the day off to-morrow and has phoned to say he will come by and take me out to lunch which is very nice of him. I find driving really does cause my knee to "play up" and make it even more painfull than usual.

Hope your MSN is not still on the blink Red, it's a real pain in the Butt when it is.

I had a shock when I went into the "Pink bedroom" there are tears in the window netting, really big ones, that must be Lucy trying to jump up onto the windowsill in there

I have tied the net curtains up in knots over the big window half way up the stairs but never thought she would try to get up onto the windowstill in that bedroom, she never usually goes into that room. She is well and truly in the dog house

I phoned the shop who did the curtains when we moved in here thirteen years ago, a very nice lady, and she is coming round to measure up and make a new one for that room.

I really did cut back the grape vine last year, trying to be clever and make it like the vine yards. Not so clever now though. However I am trying to make the new growth such as it is, go along the wire, and got Bill to add some more wire so fingers crossed it will grow along it a bit more.

I have never been able to grow lemons trees, most people can quite easily over here, the one I planted a couple of months ago is just sitting, not getting bigger and not seeming to want to do anything so looks like I have bombed out there again too.

Oh better go get a hot drink then get into bed to watch "Cranfield" with Judi Dentch in it. Enjoy your day Ladies

Ann thanks for asking , David hasn't got a new job yet but is waiting on a reply from an application form he has given in to Morrisons warehouse where our son in law works .Hes spent a bit of his redundancy money on a new computer for himself as hes never had a brand new one always ones that myself or Rachael or Ryan has passed down to him when we have had new ones lol .He also got me a nice new gas cooker because my other one didn't cook very well .Hes also got himself another motorbike so he has 2 now ! apparently one is a spare in case his other one breaks down .

Rachaels pregnancy is going well and she says that this baby is much more active then Ruby was lol .

I hope the new president Obama is a good president and does a lot for his country but I'm not really into politics its all way above my head lol .

Hope Tigs is having a lovely holiday in Malta and hope Julie and baby Daisy are doing well .

Ann I hope your operation is a big success and you will recover quickly from it

Red hope your connection is better now it's horrible when it goes off all the time or goes on a go slow .

It's Bonfire night tonight so we will proberably go to the local firework display this evening ( Weather Permitting ) .

Hello girls

Finally....this is really getting annoying, Although I can get in to read your posts, I cannot get my message box to open so I can write back.

I love bon fires Yvette, enjoy it for me too! Good luck to David on his job adventures.

Glad to know the new grandbaby in the oven is quite active, lol. I used to watch my boys kick my belly , it was so cool, unless my ribs were involved.

Ann, shame on that cat tearing up the curtains. Sabbath would if she could but all I have are valances and mini blinds. As long as I keep the blinds pulled up enough so she can look out, we are good. lol

THrow away all my (comfy) clothes, just because a new top has arrived, nonsense, lol. comfy clothes are best, I treasure them!.

I have been shopping and shopping some more. Foudn a nice jean sale so I got everyone a couple new pair. Joe doesn't like to wear jeans , he wears sweats, or slacks, so I got him a couple pair of slacks. FOund a t-shirt store with going out o business prices, but the shirts were so thin, and I was afraid they would not wear well, so I missed out on those prices.

Obama makes me happier then McCain would have (for sure). If I can't have Hillary, he is my next best, so I am happy. Why do we have to wait until January to swear him in, I surely do not want to see Bush on teh TV anymore. I will celebrate that! lol

I best get moving along, I am very busy. A couple of TIm's friends came to stay for a while, and we are getting a little cramped in this house. After we can get Mike trained for centers he will take my place until he finds other emploment, and I will be on vacation! I took them shopping with me while TIm slept. We went to the beach which Ericka has not seen before. She was like a little kid, it was refreshing.
