For Ann...imagine the heat pack on the knee instead of the head.

Morning ladies and Bill.

Sorry to hear Ann's second day post op has been so painful and difficult for her. Though that day is behind her now and she won't suffer that one again. Hopefully as each day progresses the pain management will be more established and the knee etc is another day healing.
I feel so sorry for you also Bill as it is so difficult seeing your loved ones in pain and not being able to do anything to help that. Hang on in there you'll both get through it.
I await today's report anxiously and also pray that things are improving well albeit slowly but surely.

Once again please send Ann my very best and also my thoughts are with you too Bill in your time of worry.

Farmeress how awful you picked up those infections from that pool. Don't worry Robert won't be going anywhere near anything like that until his skin is totally healed. He is almost there, but of course with the op next week there will be incisions so he is set back again until those areas fully heal.
Physio is very pleased with him and is pushing him even harder, with Robert being encouraged to increase weight bearing. He really needs to concentrate on a more normal walking movement where it comes from his hip and not the top of his leg but he struggles to understand how to do that despite being shown umpteen times. I suppose he'll get there eventually but I hope he doesn't develop bad habits from walking in a comprised way.

My back is absolutely killing me....it had eased off and had almost cleared up by Wed morning but then I did the cleaning upstairs and am now right back to where I was last week. I have been taking the diclofenac and Co-dydramol and they are helping quite a bit but they are making me so tired.
Trouble is I need/want to get the downstairs done today/tomorrow but if I have to bend, forget it!

Mark has been home since Wed afternoon but is on his way back to Leeds about 11am as he has lectures from noon. It's been lovely having him here and financially he will be much better off than when he arrived but myself a lot poorer than before he came home! His student loan has run out and he has 4 weeks food and bills to pay for before he is home for christmas so no prizes for guessing who has raided her piggy to help him out.. lol

I haven't continued typing about my jollies as I have been so busy and also want to save it for something for Ann to read when she is back home again. Poor woman as if she isn't suffering enough already! lol

I'm off now to get on with things as I intend to have a 'me' afternoon when I have crawled through a morning of household tasks.

Have a good one all...and Ann, remember your another day nearer to recovery.
