Morning LadiesJust thought I would start the day off.  Good luck Robert that the operation goes well.  Oh Tigs fancy them going to cancel the operation, thank goodness he has his  mum
I won't be able to sit here long my knee  says NO for the time being, so will have a good nights sleep and "give it a go" first thing in the morning when it's rested
Oh Red I had to get upstairs when I got home, now thats where I will be staying untill next Wednesday when I see the specialist and have my stiches out.  Still don't know how I managed those stairs, certainly will a little help from Bill, my cruthes, and a little prayer.  Oh by the way think Tigs answered farmeress about the crutches, the ones I have go up my arm, not under the arm pitt

Still I did manage to get a good shower this morning, I clung onto the rail at the top

WE have got some nice roses in the garden now so Jasmine got Bill to cut some for her teacher, she told me the teacher said "thank you"

Lilbabs thank you for the lovely flowers, I love daisies, so pretty

Well say goodnight for now, enjoy your day ladies

Afternoon ladies...gosh it's been busy here.

Yesterday I went to my podiatry appointment and she gave my feet a good going over and watched me walking and the upshot is I need some arch support insoles - I used to have some when I was 11 for a while - and she is going to refer me to a rheumatology consultant as she thinks I have the beginnings of rheumatoid arthritis in my hands and feet.  She says movement on some of my toes is already severely restricted.  So she has to write back to my GP to tell him to refer me to the consultant. I hope it doesn't take too long cos it says the sooner you receive treatment the progress of the rheumatoid arthritis can be slowed down.

Today we were up mega early and all went well with Robert's op. They wouldn't let us go with Robert to where he would be settled prior to his op and I got a little upset at leaving him. Wac nearly ended up with a battered ear cos he said abruptly "I can't see why your getting upset" I told him that unless he had something supportive to say he should keep his mouth shut!
Anyway they have removed one of the screws from the pin on the inside of his leg just below the knee and not one from the ankle. I suppose they decided he would benefit more from that removal as it would allow the needle to move freely up and down the bone and also that was on an area of his original skin and didn't mean they had to cut through the new skin and muscle graft thank goodness. Poor lad is quite tired now and is very quiet in himself as well, he's back in his bedroom relaxing at his pc.

When we'd left him on the unit we went off into town (Bury) and I managed to get some christmas shopping done. Clinton's have some absolutely gorgeous art deco cards on sale so I have bought one for Wac for xmas. He will probably moan that I haven't made him one but this was too gorgeous not to get it even though it was £6!! and only A5 size. Still I shall enjoy looking at it.

I was looking at some knitted hooded jackets with a fleece lining in Burton's for Mark and they were originally £45 and when I decided yes I would get it I noticed a sign saying they had been reduced to £30! Bargain!

Just before we left home this morning Wac foolishly told me M&S had a 20% off sale today so of course I had to go in there. After a few mins of me looking round the ladies section Wac decided he'd go off to the library and come back when I rang him so he could carry my bags. I could do with one of those shoppers on wheels nowadays when I go shopping as I don't shop often and then when I do I have tons of bags that are too heavy to carry for long so the only option I have is to traipse back to the car several times to get rid of my burden.
Anyway I didn't actually buy anything clothes wise from M&S in the end as most of the tops I liked are very cleavage revealing which isn't my style or they were very open round the neck which is fine in summer but in winter you need something to cover your neck/chest a bit more.
I got my crackers and wrapping paper from there as they had a 3 for 2 with the 20% off as well.
Anyway that's enough from me I have now to get ready for work and I am shattered The next 7 hours can't pass quickly enough for me today.
Sleep well Ann and your another day nearer to recovery when you get up.

Good afternoon,

Glad Robert is back home in his own bed and things went well, Wac should understand that even a haircut can trigger emotional responses from these childrens mothers. Surgery of any kind, YES!    Shame on him for being short with you.  Spend his money, lol

Glad our settled in for a week Ann, I hate the thought of you traveling a staircase.  Glad your crutches are comfy, lol
Bless Jasmine, she sounds like such a sweet little girl, thoughtful of others. I am sure that reflects on living with you and Bill, Lord only knows what her frame of mind would be by now had you not intervened. KUDOS!!

I just made an offer to travel homeless pets from town to town, lol.  AN organization that saves dogs/cats from high kill shelters needed someone to take rescues to other cities for foster care. I do not feel as though foster care is a good idea with all my pets, but since Ken and I travel every night anyways, I offered to help if I could.  Let you know when I get my first transport. I hope they are not too cute
(Ken doesn't know yet,  shhhh)

Finally got all my Thanksgiving shopping done. I got 2 turkeys and the lady at the check out asked my why I had bought 2 turkeys, which I though was a ridiculous question, as it is none of her business anyways. But I told her one was to take to dinner and one was to enjoy at home the next day for leftovers. We deep fry ours, and she had never heard of that.  Bob went to pick Dee up at the airport, as I have a huge headache this morning and not sure how long I will be able to be on this computer as it bothers my eyes. I am sure  it's becaues I did not hit the bed until 5am, although I thought I was off work last night, it did not pan out that way.

I think I will close this andtry to lay back down for a spell.  I am not one who normally gets headaches, but when they get behind my eyes,  it is hard to get rid of.

Later girls, have a nice day!!!
