Good Afternoon Ladies'
I'm very pleased for you Libabs in getting your hubby started back. And also glad to hear that your name is not Sylvia. I have a half sister down there which I only found out about after my father died. One of the reasons I joined msn was to look for her but if I did I wouldn't be able to keep it to myself and I don't think Ken would want me too. She's about 55.
Tigger, I clicked on you yesterday to be a friend and the line disconnected. Ken is ringing tomorrow to get us satelite internet so that will give us more speed and I won't be blocking the telephone line Yeh! I wasn't really keen to pay a monthly charge though.
We're starting at 5am on Monday & Thursday to get all the lambs off there mothers. We weigh the heavier looking ones and send about 300 this week.
Is there a ladies group on facebook. I haven't found groups yet?
Little baby Molly's parents have put her photos on a picasso album site. I don't think I'd be doing that if I was them. I was invited to look at the pictures but  I haven't managed to get it right yet.
If you look for someone on facebook do they konw?
I've made a piccadilly quiche today. It's got carrots, silverbeet, & corn in it, with cheese on the top & sunflower seeds. It's all the colours of the the rainbow nearly
And some choc-chocolate muffins for morning tea tomorrow, there's two high school kids coming and a neighbour.
It will be good to be able to play games when we get satelite internet but only in the winter I suppose.

Morning LadiesOh I have never heard of piccadilly quich farmeress sounds very healthy. I still don't know too much about facebook either.  I don't know about a ladies group, thought it was just for personal messages to friends, then it seems that the friends children ask to get on and so it goes on!  I just have a few friends that I keep up with the teen's once joined don't seem to write anything!  or it's about their new best friend which I wouldn't have a clue who they are , lol.

I have been able to send special things at times then at other times I click to send someone a cake or something and it just does not appear, so I'm still not there by a long shot.

I have had a very lazy day to-day, yesterday took more out of me than I though, still I enjoyed it.  I am building up my energy for Physio to-morrow morning

I still keep waking up in the night with the pain in my knee, I wake at least four/five times so the sooner that stops the better

Sorry if I keep on about my knee but it just fills my day at the moment

Never realised the dog next door barks so much during the day, I guess usually I am on the go and when we are home the neighbours and children are home so he's fine Our neighbours are'nt that close either, guess he has a big bark for a small dog

It has been another hot sunny day to-day, do hope that means we are going to have a good summer this year, mind you with a little rain, sometimes, as the lakes went very low last year, nice for us to wade out in, but not good for the electricty we need.  Still with all their dire warnings we did not get any power cuts last year, so won't worry if they "warn" us this year just get in lots of candles, go all romantic

Still worried about not having done most of my Christmas shopping, guess it will be a last minute rush, so nothing new there then

Hope you had a fantastic time in your motor home Tigs, it really sounds like it is the way to go (sorry if this does not look too much like a motor home but best I can do) What a wonderful way to have a complete break and still feel like home.

Lucy is behaving herself (I said that quietly don't want her to think I don't like it) perhaps its the hot weather or she is 10months old now She probably is making sure we don't leave her behind when we go up to Taupo after Christmas for the lady who comes in to feed the  older cats, Lucy wants a holiday

Hello Yvette do hope you had a happy anniversary and Birthday

You do work hard Red, take care of yourself

Hope your day is going well lilbabs

Enjoy your day ladies

Hi Ladies I am back...did you miss me?? I missed all of you! I did enquire about the wifi and was told it was £5 an hour!!! Well ladies I'm sorry but I wasn't going to spend that on saying hello.

I'll tell you about my trip in a min but first I want to comment on the previous days news of yours - well what I can remember anyway - re the nail removal that's so that the infection can drain away and then heal from the cuticle area outwards whilst a new nail grows therefore speeding up the ridding of the infection.

Glad to hear you managed a trip out Ann and I agree how frustrating it must be for permanently disabled people getting out and about. You want to try travelling along pavements, I had my eyes opened when pushing Robert about in the wheelchair we had from the Red Cross for a few months. I was quite disappointed in the quality of the footpaths as some were really uneven and some had such adverse camber I'm surprised I didn't snap off one pushing handles as I had to apply extra pressure to make sure the chair didn't run away lopsided, or tip over. I think the bodies who are responsible for the highways and byways and shop owners should travel about in a chair and see exactly what obstacles are faced by disabled people. Until a person is in that unfortunate position then I don't think you truly appreciate the problems.

Oh dear Red I'm glad I wasn't your neice being rung at that time in the morning. lol Lucky for you she was so close by though.

Farmeress I have received the accepted email with regards to you adding me to your facebook. Thank you. No I don't think people know when you are looking for them unless you click on them and send a message. You are able to view people's profiles without them knowing. I have mine locked so that only people on my friend's list can look, but many have their facebook 'open' which means anyone can see their profile. Not a good idea in my opinion.
Yvette has made a facebook for ladies take a break but she'll have to let you know how to access it cos I don't. Sorry.

Poor lambs, they have such a short life don't they. Won't stop me buying it though, cos the trays full of meat in the butchers have nothing to do with the animals you mention. lol

Ann you mention your knee all you want as we want to hear how you are doing but wish it was feeling easier for you ...wish I could offer help about your knee pain in the night but my Dad had exactly the same problem. We used to tell him off and say he was having more pain in the night because he wasn't taking his meds properly but it would seem that maybe the pain was bonafide and we were telling him off without just cause as it sounds as if you are suffering like he was.

Think I will send this now and continue in a new post just in case....

Me again...our trip away this weekend was very lovely if a little cold but we have a wonderful gas fire in the MH which kept us snug and warm.

The only down side to having the MH is getting it off the drive which is very long and steep, and the overhang which is the lounge part of the MH almost clips the ground and it takes a very fine maneouvering to avoid that happening. Stress levels are high by the time the MH is on the road and we are ready for the off.
Once away though it's a brilliant feeling being sat so high up and able to see over field walls etc, a totally different view point than that in a car.

En route we called at a fish and chip shop for lunch and got a 'carry out' as Red would say  and ate it at the table in the MH.

The camp site was only about 55 miles away from home, not too far to drive to but far enough away to be somewhere different.
The site was lovely, the best we have stayed on yet, so spacious and clean and the amenities were absolutely spotless.

We arrived mid afternoon, linked up to the electric, switched on the gas and then chilled out in the MH for the rest of the day. I'd taken the stocking fillers I had bought for my Mum and Dad so got those wrapped.

Saturday dawned very cold and frosty and we went into Knaresborough and had a look around the shops until lunchtime then had lunch in this little cafe that there was no one else in. Gut instinct told me not to go in there but we felt sorry for the owner as it was so out of the way she probably didnt get much trade anyway. I had broccoli and cashew nut quiche with potatoes and salad which was ok, followed by apple crumble and custard which was delicious.

As it was only early afternoon by the time we had had lunch, we then went into Harrogate and had to park quite a way out of town as there were a lot of disc only parking zones and the car parks were full. It's no mean feat trying to find a space big enough for 25' of vehicle.
My feet were already aching but I plodded on and we had a lovely look round Harrogate. We have had a beano in charity shops and I have bought loads of books that will no doubt take me forever to read but I just had to have them as they were just the kind I like! lol
I also bought lots of things in 'normal' shops and have made massive headway with my christmas shopping. Still got things to buy yet for the boys, but as for everybody else I think I have bought everything.

We arrived back on the site about 6.30pm filled up the water tank, linked up the electric, switched on the gas and settled down for an evening in front of the tv whilst doing some mini cross stitch. Well I stitched Wac didn't!

It had been a very cold frosty day but with some lovely sunshine and it was so nice to be miles away from home and all the usual demands.

This morning was very white indeed until the sun got up and warmed the day slightly but only slightly. On the way back we called at a mill place and I bought some more pressies. and one or two 'bits' for me. lol

We called at another mill place about 12 miles from home, quite close to where I work in fact, and I had my first christmas lunch of the year. It was quite good but having snaffled some of Wac's fish and chips, a taster forkful only, I think I would have been happier with that than the meal I had, as it wasn't very home made which most of the meals there usually are.

We arrived home about 4pm and it took quite a while to get everything out of the MH especially our purchases and into the house.

It was soon back to reality when Robert showed us a letter he had received from the courts saying he was being called as a witness, as the guy who hit Robert pleaded not guilty to charges against him when he was in court last week.
We have no idea what the charges are but it looks like he may be getting possibly tried for dangerous driving. I think it is now time to go and find a solicitor for Robert as I don't want him going into court providing a statement of his account of the accident and it having a negative impact on any claim he may want to pursue with regards to compensation in the future.
Oh boy....I've not been looking forward to this but I suppose we better go seek some advice and do whatever is necessary. A little forward planning is the essence of the day I think.
Robert doesn't seem too phased by it and is taking it in his 'stride'. I'm just so glad he is such an intelligent young man that maybe he can do some of the sorting for himself to take the pressure off me.
I'm also hoping Robert will be entitled to legal aid or similar or that any expenses will be paid by the car drivers insurers and not out of any compensation Robert hopes to get because if there is no money available from anywhere we don't want end up footing a very hefty legal bill.

Hmm.. and on that cheery note I am off to get some tasks done that I have to get sorted tonight. eg present wrapping, card sorting, washing, drying.....oh I know I am home now!

Have a pleasant day, evening or whatever....
