Morning LadiesFirst of December-can you believe it? Christmas is not creeping up its roaring to the 25th much too quickly

I went to Physio this morning-pretty brutal Still he seemed please with me and it was my first time, so all in all, one down, just a few more to go

Then the physiopherapist told me that knee replacements usually lasted around fifteen years I was shocked, "don't tell me I will have to have another one" I said "Well"  he said "most people are a lot older than you when then have it done"  That did not help at all!!!

I did look in the pharmacy next to the physio place but they did not have any Christmas cards, only Birthday ones.  Actually I just wanted to get home and "fall" into bed.

I do like your little cat on the moon Lilbabs, saying good night, so cute.

Yes Tigs we did Miss you and your interesting chatt's, welcome home.

Like you said Tigs and Red with your experience of wheel chairs it's not till you have to use one do you realise how many obsticles are put in your way to get to the things you want.  I will be more aware now when I see someone who has to use one.  Robert would not have been a light weight to push either.  Gosh he's a lucky boy to have such a mum.

Well, I do take the meds but the pain is still pretty bad and I still can't sleep so you dad was right about that Tigs, and Tracy talked to someone the other day who said the same.  He had thrown his meds away like your dad as they were not helping he said just messing with his brain!

Oh that gas fire sounds nice in your motor home, real cosy.

Yes, Robert difinately needs a lawyer, and he should certainly get legal aid.  Sounds like that man who was responsible for all that pain and suffering Robert has gone through is trying to get away with it, probably thinks you will go for compensation from him.  Well with you as his mum, and the right lawyer Robert will come
though, not pleasant having to go through it though.

Hi Red hope things are good at your place
Farmeress don't want to think of those mother sheep saying good by to those lovely little babies
When we are driving along we see the trucks full of sheep all going down to the slaughter house  (I just don't want to think that that leg of lamb on the supermarket shelves has anything to do with little lambs skipping in the fields)

Enjoy your day ladies

Morning!
Thank you for missing me Ann, I missed all of you too!

I have a confession to make Ann...I knew about the 'life span' of a knee replacement but didn't like to say. I presumed your consultant would have told you and that you didn't want to say anything in here.
As far as I am aware , that time span is only a guide and the materials used in the artificial joint are extremely advanced nowadays so you might be lucky and it last for a whole lot longer than the guidelines say. The physio is right it usually is people who are much older that have the op but the point is you were in too much pain to continue with your original knee so nothing else could be done sadly.
Little comfort I know, but try not to dwell on it and IF the time comes that you have to have it done again you will have had many pain free years.

Glad physio went as well as could be expected and it will be interesting for you to meet other people who have had the same or similar op to be able to discuss any concerns you might have. My Dad was quite sad when they 'sacked' him as he called it after about 6 sessions because he was doing so well he didn't need to do the physio in a group anymore just practise daily at home. Let's hope that is the case for you. Did Bill take you? My Dad had to go on patient transport as I was 'out of action' when he had his first op and then the second one I was so busy with Robert and his appointments.
Talking of which he is at the physio this morning at 11am and I hope the day warms up a bit as it is currently -3c outside and it took James and Wac 20 mins to defrost their cars. I won't need to do that as I garage my car but the roads will be a bit dodgy.

Now Ann the meat we see in the supermarkets is NOT the lovely little lambs we see in the fields or in the trucks, they are just being transported to another field.

I agree christmas is fast racing towards us and I feel so unprepared for it. I have such a busy week planned and now on top of that I have to sort out a decent specialised solicitor for Robert. It took me ages to fall asleep last night due to worrying about things surrounding the accident and court case. Wac says I shouldn't be worrying because it's all for the good of Robert's case for compensation that the cps want to prosecute the driver but  I know Robert was slightly to blame having overtaken another car albeit very slowly but he did touch the red crossed areas which your not supposed to. The thought of Robert being cross examined about something that he finds difficult to talk about is upsetting me. It's bad enough when it's yet another new face on the nursing team who come to dress his leg and ask the same old questions that mean Robert has to relieve the experience which he hates doing.

Anyway we'll get through it, it's happened and it has to be dealt with.

Oh dear, time is running away this morning and I have sooo much to do.....laters ladies.

erm...I meant relive not relieve!

Been to phsio after gritting the drive as there have been flurries of show this morning.
Physio wasn't impressed when she saw Robert on crutches but there was no way he was using one stick with the ground as icy as it is.
Robert has taken a backwards step since his op 10 days ago but it was to be expected as the consultant had said he had to ease of from the exercise for a week or two.
On the way back I booked an appointment with the solicitor someone has recommended to me and we go to see him tomorrow at 10am.

Now I'm off to tie up a few loose ends and get myself to work. Our clerk is off again this week so I might be clerking instead of HCA again this week.

Hello girls...
So nice to have you back Tigs  I would havemissed you more if I could have gotten here more, lol
I have never seen a mh with a fireplace, how wonderful!  Your weekend  sounds perfect. Glad you enjoyed it to the fullest.
I cannot believe that man pleading not guilty, Surely your attorney fees will have to be paid by him when he is found Guilty!

My goodness Ann,  I hope you can get over the idea that you may be back for a new knee in 15 years, I cannot believe noone told you that before.  Lets hope this one lasts forever

Yes Dec.1st already, Ken's birthday!  I am not decorated or anything for hristmas yet. I do have some cookie dough piling up in the fridge, but afte baking a batch Saturday night, I am not so sure I want to bake them here in this oven. So uneven, maybe instead of just having the owner fix the door on this one when we moved in, I should have allowed him to buy a new one, lol.  Burnt on the bottom, but still a little doughy on top,  I moved the rack up and it didn't seem to have much effect.  Maybe I will make Chrissy bake them all off for me, lol

I  told Ken I would work for him tonight since it is his birthday, but he said it wasn't necessary, , lol.  I would do it but I am glad he doesn't want me to

Joe is taking this entertainment center over to Patty's so I have more room in here.  My furniture buying has been diminished since we moved into this small house, and just the other day I saw a great deal on a beautiful dining room table that would match my hutch.  No room for anything biigger then this 4 seater table I have now

We had a rainy weekend, but today looks promising with a load of sunshine to warm it up into the 60's.   Good thing because the alternator belt once again broke on the rodeo. Ken is there now fixing it as I had to leave it near my SIL house the other night.  Yes, Tigs,  Chrissy was happy to rescue me at 2am, she is up most nights anyways as she always takes her nap with Breanna in the afternoons. I knew she would be up on a Friday!

I do not understand why ...if I am so busy all the time, why doesn't anything ever get done????  I have found out that my houseguests do dishes as long as there is not more then a sink full.  I should utilize the dishwasher more,  but I am not used to it, and it always seems easier to just draw water and wash them up, that way I have a nice hot sink of water to clean the counters and stove off as well.  I run the dishwasher about 2-3 times a month just to keep it from getting smelly or something, lol. That sounds disgusting, but it's true!

Your probably right Tigs, I am sure those little adorable , cute as a button lambs are not the same ones on your dinner plate, with the fork impaled  into it.   lol

Ann I pass trucks of pigs and chickens almost every evening on my travels. I try not to  associate them with the bacon I had for breakfast, lol.  Those hog trucks get very loud if the driver stops. While working at one of the centers one day I heard this awful sound and could not figure out what it was, after opening the door, I saw a pig truck parked in the store parking lot across the way and they were NOT happy hogs at all.  Stamping their hooves, and snorting/grunting very loudly. I am sire they were mad as hell about where they were going. I wanted to run across the lot and break them out. Could you imagine that scene?  lol

WEll I have been here long enough this morning, time is wasting, and I still have my other sites to check. Today is Internet shopping so I need to look up some deals on electronics for these boys.  Not sure what I will buy, if anything, but I gotta start looking seriously.

  Have  awonderful day all....

Thank you for missing me as well Red....
I have just placed an order with Amazon for three items Robert has run by me that he wants for christmas. Floating wireless speakers for his bath, I may live to regret this one! His choice of music is interesting but maybe just maybe he will use them to listen to a book he has downloaded whilst having a soak. Also a pillow with speakers in them so he can listen to things whilst he goes to sleep and finally a stylophone! Now I know I will definitely regret this purchase! Originally I went on the iwantoneofthose.com website and the price of their items came to almost £25 more than buying exactly the same things from Amazon. Incredible eh?
Robert also wants one of the Selk sacks which is a sleeping bag but with arms and legs! At £85 each I am trying to rationalise him getting enough use out of that item to make it worthwhile buying him one. I may just leave that purchase to him with his christmas money and he might decide then it's a bit too expensive a present to buy on a whim.

Red I know exactly what you mean about always being on the go and never seeming to get anything done...I am sinking fast here with everything I need to conquer but I am drowning under the weight of all that needs to be done.  Ah well, maybe later in the week I might make some headway. But then again.

Time for bed now.....Nighties....
