Hi Ladies'
I hope you are all well and nearly organised for xmas. It's drizzling today and I was hoping for a me day but that hasn't actually happened.
We managed to get $85 for our firs lot of lambs last week a lot better than last years $53 average. This morning I got my xmas tree up.
Ann,  Glad to hear you're getting out, but my mother has trouble with her knees when she has acidy foods like orange juice and tomatoes. Jasmines shirt sounds just the ticket for her. Awesome. I haven't really been in the shops to see such things. I'll be thinking of you at Taupo.  I've just planted a few flowering plants near my entrance. They better not be dead by xmas.
Gee Red, how do you stay awake for so long. I'd completely crash with no energy pretty quickly if I did that. You sound very busy. I'm glad the visitors are gone for xmas. It sounds like you're feeling a lot happier now.
It's a horrible time of the year for some people. One of the boys that was doing the same course as Dane had to go home before the year ended with depression.

I wonder what xmas is like for you girls. When over here we're in the middle of summer. We have to do all those summer jobs to get the place looking right for xmas like lawns gardens windows etc. I'm sure I wouldn't be so bothered if it was winter.
Tigger' You've had more than enough to deal with. I'm surprised that you have to go to so much trouble to get an insurance claim done as well. Oh! I see now that you should be compensated appropriately Thank God for that.
My brother n law is in charge of his sons Accident compensation money and we think he's been spending it himself. He's had to downgrade from  large farm to farmlet then his two houses got worse and worser and now he's renting!
Oh Red! I've been thinking of you each day. Every day I go along our track, past a pond and we have a family of paradise ducklings there. They're gorgeous colours.

Morning ladies and it's still technically night here as it is only 5.30am but I have had a fitful night thanks to a really sore throat and now earache. I think I am coming down with a cold. WAHHH!. I've just refilled the last freezer now as it has refrozen after I defrosted and cleaned them both yesterday afternoon.

Farmeress nice to see you in here and to hear that you have got what you think is a decent price for your recent sales.
What a shame about that young lad with depression it's a terrible illness.
Your right about the exterior of a house for a winter christmas Farmeress, most people usually get the outside tidied and garden trimmed down ready for the winter but once it is done it is ignored, and not a regular task to keep on top of it like in summer. One less responsibility amongst all the other preperations thank goodness.

We recently got the paperwork/contract through from the solicitor about the compensation claim and we are a bit undecided because there are so many clauses that if Robert lost his case he would have to pay the other guys expenses....and if he won but the insurance company didn't pay out then Robert would have a minimum of £5,000 to pay to his solicitor as basic fees and a hell of a lot more if it had to go to court. The liklihood of either of those happening is negligible but possible, so Robert has a few more questions for the solicitor before he signs on the dotted line and formally instructs him to do the work for him. Ridiculous isn't it that in a serious situation like this for a person who is deserving of something, that it is still all fraught with 'what if's'. No matter what he gets it will never truly compensate for all he has suffered and what impact his imjuries may have on his future, but he should be able to claim worry free.

That's terrible about your brother using his son's compensation money for his own ends. Over here it would be tied up in trust till the person 'comes of age' and then it is paid to the injured not the parents.

Robert has physio this morning and I am supposed to be in work later on but I'll see how I feel. I probably will go in but I don't really feel like doing. I know I've only got a cold but I feel awful.  I'm back off to bed now to grab a couple more hours hopefully.

Morning LadiesOh Red, I like a Chinese meal, I hope you enjoyed yours, I am sure you did.

Glad you got a better price for those little lambs this year farmeress, farmers work so hard it's good to be recognised  for all that labour. ( I know I know these lovely little lambs are not the same as Lamb Roasts)
Another bout of Physio to day.  It sure makes your eyes water

Thanks for the tip about the sun on the scar Tigs, did not think of that when I was sat out drinking my orange juice on Sunday

I went into a little knic nac store after the physio and saw one or two pretty things, one was an Italian curved plate, think it was for fruit, or I guess anything would look pretty in it.  It was silver, but it had glass over it.  Actually putting it down here it does not sound all that grand, however, it really took my eye.  The woman had brought in two from Italy so I bought one!

I will have to write a couple of Christmas cards, to people who will not learn Computer in any form.  One  a 95 year old Aunt, well, she has an excuse, and one my cousin, who has no excuse at her age!!

Listen at me, I'm still learning

This evening the rain is coming down, the garden will be pleased and I can't complain as this morning I was out in a Tee shirt and skirt (pants are out at the moment can't bare to have them over my knee)  I think I look fatter in a skirt, but not to worry I just won't look

I have so many "odd" jobs to do.  I cut out recipe's that I like in the paper, now I have a lot of those and they are all lose and need putting in a book.  Millions of photo's to put into albums, clean out the clothes cupboards (so I can fill them with new of course) and what do I do, just lie there and think about it!!

Simon came at lunch time to fix Jasmine's computer and we had lunch and a "natter" so that was nice.

Sorry about that boy in Dane's class with depression, that is so sad.  I think it is awful if your brother in law really has been taking his son's A.C.C. payment, I thought it was kept safe until the boy is of age.

Oh Tigs all this worry over the Solicitor for Robert.  I do know that going to Court does not seem to be about right and wrong, more how the lawyers decide it will go.  After all those months of lying on his back, and terrible pain Robert should surley be able to get his rightfull compensation.  Also as you say what impact his injuries may have on his future.  Hope it all gets sorted out soon, so you can all stop worring.  Will say a little prayer that it soon gets sorted out.

Will go now, enjoy your day everyone

Hello again....
I had to smile about all those little jobs Ann that need to be done and you think you should do whilst you can't do your usual chores etc. I thought exactly the same last year, oh what I was going to catch up with was a whole host of stuff and here I am 12 months on and none done! It's true what they say about the more time you have the less  you do, cos you think oh I can do that tomorrow, but tomorrow never comes.

Good luck at physio Ann. I have just re-arranged Robert's for tomorrow afternoon so Wac can take him and I can have a rest or whatever this morning and give my cold cures time to kick in before I go to work. I don't particularly feel well enough to go but I have to as our clerk is still off sick and the HCA on the other team is on annual leave as are two of the nurses so the teams are down to the bare bones as it is.

Ann I'm sure your bowl is beautiful or you wouldn't have bought it otherwise. Who is going to be the lucky recipient?

Think it's time I had my breakfast...
Have a good one ladies.

Oh Tigs take care of yourself you don't want to make that cold worse-once they take hold it can take ages to get rid of them.

Hello ladies,
Aww Tigs,  I hope you nip that cold in the bud very quickly as we women cannot afford to be ill, especially if it turns into man flu, lol
I talked to my Mom this morning, and she had agreed to look after the neighbors animals while they are gone for 2 weeks . Of course after she had committed to that I could not talk her into coming for a week or so, after Christmas is a good possibility. They are going traveling to visit with their children and grandchildren. I had met them before and they are a very sweet couple.  Typical elderly people,  Ma reminding Pa of his meds, and Pa reminding Ma he had taken them an hour ago, lol  That was the argument I remember when I met them.  I think they are both in their 70's, I can't believe they will be doing so much driving.

Nice to see you Farmeress.  I am also miffed that the man spent his sons compensation monies,  IT is the same here, it would have been put in trust, and only allowed to be used if the money was spent on a big ticket item the son needed for living, college, etc.  A form has to be remitted in order for the trust to be released.  He can buy such things as computers, cars, etc, even a home,  but it has to be proven to be a necessity, and it could then go in the sons name.  Mike's daughter has a  trust and Sheena (the mom) can submit to the courts papers for Isabella to have things her Dad would have provided for her.

I am laughing at Farmeress being reminded of me by some ducks, lol.  I suppose it comes from my many pets, but still a funny way to be remembered.  I am honored  I did drink a 5 hour energy drink to keep myself going.  It is full of Vit B so it gives a great boost and no side effects.  I only drink one when I am running on empty, and still have to push forward.  Someitmes when I am driving late.

Tigs, maybe those stipulations are so that people do not abuse the system like we have here. People are always filing lawsuits on others for the stupidest things. Although I am sure they do not sound stupid to the one filing, I feel that it is abused.  a system like that could keep some from filing I think. Not to worry about Robert, from what you have told us, I think he is justified indeed to file.

Shame about depression setting in for that young man. I hope he gets the help he needs to dig himself out of that hole.  It is such a widespread thing, just goes to show you that (things) in life are not as important as people.

I must be off to run to the payment center to give the electric company and the cable/internet people some money so I can keep on talking to you girls.

Ann, we are always learning, I still ask Joe things about my computer.  It's less frequent now so he is not quite so discusted with his old Mom, lol.  So who is the recipient of the new dish? Did Santa bring it for Ann?  lol
Nice you got to enjoy some time with Simon, and don't fret over those odd jobs,  there will ALWAYS be something as we women are never truly satisfied, now are we?
I found some spots on the boys bathroom tub, little puple spots about a dozen or so. I tried bleach and nothing. Come to find out that Ericka had died her hair purple just before her parents picked them up, and left spots all over the shower curtain, bathtub, and a  few splatters on the counter  .  They look like they bled into the porcelain and I cannot even lighten them with straight bleach.  Wonder how much that will cost me when we move from here. GRRRRRRR.

Well I am off and running, well, I will walk quickly, lol
  have a great day

Thank you girls for your get well wishes. I have managed to get through the day but only just. We had a couple of teenage boys *rs*ng about in clinic but I soon showed them who was boss.

I had my 5 mins of excellence re the computer this afternoon when my manager was struggling to print out some off duty at the size she wanted as it kept resizing itself and she'd had the chap in the office who has been employed as a computer specialist and he wasn't able to solve it. He walked into the office to have a word about something else just as my boss was shouting Eureka! cos I'd managed to sort the problem out for her.

Then I went back into my office which is a chasm of a place and holds 24 desks quite comfortably so you can imagine the size of the room, and only has two radiators to heat the place. At 4pm the heating goes off and once it is off, it's OFF! So for two hours I worked with an extra jumper, a scarf and my coat on with hands clenched round a hot cup of tea - not an easy thing to do when your trying to type and write.  We have complained already about the poor/lack of heating and been assured we can have some electric heaters but so far none have appeared. I shall be taking a temperature gauge in tomorrow......

Oh Red as soon as you said purple spots I knew what it was You've no chance in h*ll of removing them now. The young girls at the home were forever dying their hair and spotting the bathrooms at the same time. Trouble is the cream that's applied is white and it isn't until it dries it turns purple and by then too late to remove.

What a shame about your Mum Red. Still I suppose her sacrifice means two other people are able to spend time with their family over christmas which is a very nice thing for her to do.

We are chasing the compensation claim up on Thursday... Wac wants all the t's crossed and the i's dotted so that in the worst case scenario Robert doesn't end up with a hefty bill and no money meaning he is financially worse off than he is now.

Ok ladies it's time I was tucked up in my nice warm bed.
Night night.
