Morning LadiesMixed bag to-day starting with physio That over, we had lunch then Bill and I went into Wellington, went for a meeting with our lawyer, then Bill went for a hair cut and I went to Kirkcaldie and Stains, our "posh" shop

Went to the make up counter and went for my favorite lipstick, yes, you've guessed it, don't do that color anymore, all new seasons colors! don't you just hate it when you have just got used to a special thing and wham they go and stop production and try to sell you "The new color this year"  I told the girl I was not interested in being "with it" I liked what I normally have, but it would apear that none left all gone back to the makers.

Went upstairs, saw a pretty skirt, just too small, then a very nice white cardigan type thing with little "diamonds" on the shoulders, too small.  By this time Bill was phoning he was in the tea rooms where I had said I would be, so I hobbled up there.  Some friends of ours came by, they had had an unsuccesful day trying to buy a couple of presents so we all drowned our sorrows with a cup of English Breakfast tea. Oh yes and a fattening cake I am going to have to stop the fattening cake "cheer ups" they are going on my hips!

Then luck was in and I spotted a very nice English vase, it has got sweet pea's painted on the china, so we bought that and now it just awaits the flowers

Oh Yvette I do hope it won't be long before David gets another job, it's  most despressing whilst you are going for them.  What with Christmas and New Year coming up its a difficult time to go job hunting.  Our thoughts are with you and prayers for his getting a Job in the New Year.  Things over here are pretty much the same, every day there are places closing down with lots of workers out of work.  Some have been there for twenty five years or more.  To-day a big biscuit factory has closed down and is moving up to Auckland, I think they have offered a few jobs for those who wish to re-locate, but not many.

I know there were things in yesterdays post I wanted to comment on, but please forgive me as I don't want to go back and perhaps lose my post to refresh my mind.

Kim took Jasmine to a party to-day, her old firm were having their Christmas party and Kim had been invited, so she took Jasmine.  Jasmine came back with a little present from Santa and half a dozen sausage rolls, aparently she said she liked them and so they gave her some to bring home

Enjoy your day ladiesNot long to go now before the big fat man comes down the chimney

Morning!
I checked in here about 15 mins ago but wandered off again cos I thought you'd be putting a post together Ann.

I too hate that when I use a particular type and shade of eyeshadow and then find I can't get it anymore.

Nice to see your getting about Ann even if it is after a physio trip. The vase sounds lovely.

It's nice to see Jasmine is having such a lovely time with Kim. How long will she be involved for?

I have loads to do here including a huge house clean and finish off with getting out all my table things for the big meal so that's my plan of action for the next couple of days. Exciting or what!

I'm hoping the last few parcels I am expecting arrive soon as I am getting a bit concerned now as two are large items that Robert particularly wants for christmas but doesn't know I'm getting for him.

Would love to stay and chat for longer but I really must run.

Bye for now

Good morning ladies,

Ann, the vase does sound lovely.  When can I expect it,  LOL
THat's terrible about your lipstick, so did you get talked into another shade?
Maybe you can write the company and they will send you a few tubes?
persoanlly I have never worn much make-up, lipstick included. Plain Jane here.  Occasionally some mascara, blush, and eyeliner.
I too am in need of a dye job , I have already bought the box of color.

Tigs, I don't envy you having to prepare for all your company. Luckily we will be traveling to Patty's for our Christmas dinner on Christmas eve. We will exchange presents then. Ken and I will be working Christmas morning, and no Saturday off this week either as the clinics have to make up their missed dialysis day (thursday) on Sunday, and next week we will only get one day off as well due to the fact that our Warsaw clinic is an RAI nd not a Davita, so they are (of course) on a different schedule.  UGH, Merry Christmas , lol

We saw a kitty last night at Wallace that was black and white,  I was kidding but I told the guys that we should catch it and take it home to name it Obama, lol  Of course we didn't, it looked like  loved kitty anyways.

The neighbors have agreat dane, and evidently it does not listen very well. Everytime they take it out it gets loose and runs off. They are always going after him with the car. Obviously these people have no idea on how to care/raise a dog.  That dog is going to be so hard on the next owner, you know people like that do not keep their pets forever, only until they tire of them.  I want to go get that dane, he looks like a lot of fun, and I think his problem is he does not get enough playtime. They are very energetic. Can't be left in the darn house all day.  If only I could save the world, lol

A friend of the family got some disturbing news that her husband (stationed in Japan) has been cheating on her. So close to Christmas he decides to come (clean), He's still in Japan, she is so tormented it breaks my heart. Almost like he  is rubbing it in her face. She home with 2 young children and she is now a basket case.  Trying not to involve the children but they know something very wrong is going on.  Why in the hell (pardon my language) would he call her from Japan to tell her this??  He is scheduled to come home Monday, he should have waited until he was home and talked with her about it while the children were at her mothers, or something...different....JERK!

Well it is time I get motivated. I still have all my gifts to wrap.  I bought a huge bow for Breanna's little kitchen, but the darn thing won;t stay on, grrrr.

Speaking of which,  Tigs,  I just love your card,  but the snowflakes won't stay on either. Seems after the glue dries they fall right off,  did you plan that?  snow falling?  lol  Did you crossstitch the cnowman yourself?  You must take ages to make your cards, theya re beautiful.  Yours is on the way,  but I am sad to say it does not compare, but with the same love yours was sent
  Have a blessed day girls!!!

Just a little something farmeress (sharyn) wrote on my wall so thought I would pass it on to you as it was said.
Hi Annette,
I'm trying to have a wee sit this morning. We have a wedding to go to this afternoon. Wish Tigger & Red a merry xmas for me and a lovely day with their families. The same goes for you. I know they'll be busy and you will be still sitting at the computer a bit and looking after yourself I suppose. Who knows Pauline Ellis, I thought it was someone I worked with and went to my school. But shes knows the group ones. Does anyone know where she's from?"

I wrote back I would pass on to you Sharyn's best wishes.
As for Plink, Pauline Ellis, I met Plink on Ladies Take a break, and she lives in England.    So Plink if you read this, Farmeress, (Sharyn) might like an 'e' mail from you.

Be back later ladies, to comment on your days input.  Oh its so nice to read all your posts.  I was up this morning at four, my knee was killing me, Bill made me a cup of tea but I could not sleep, so reading Tigs post, was really nice to feel a friend out there.   Red's wasn't there then, but just knowing my friends were just  a computer away, was so nice.

Marzipaning the cake to-day
