Morning Ladies Well, the cake is marzipaned, and iced and decorated.  We all did it to-gether, I must say my knee was not very helpful and really put me through it when I tried entusiastically to do lots of little finishing touches, and brushing the cake with the jam in the begining.  Its not the traditional apricot jam, did not have any, so substutited it for black cherry jam.
Hopefully it will be so full of brandy no one is going to notice, if they do I will just say its the latest thing

I am not sure how long Kim will be coming, her last day is Monday this side of Christmas as Bill will be home so I won't need help.  However I have  got her coming back on the 20th January which will be the first day after we get back from the Lake.  Hopefully she will be coming for a little while after that.  It is until I can really manage the housework and Jasmine on my own I think.  Once Jasmine goes back to school the hours will go back to one thirty to four thirty.  I will take as long as A.C.C. will give me  I go back to see the specialist again on 18th February, then it will be three months from the date of the operation.  Meanwhile I have to keep up the physio
The physio  suggested that whilst I am away I should go into the hot pooles up there and walk a few lengths of the poole and then walk backwards for exercise, so I will try that.  Must remember to take my bathing costume.

I echo Red, Tigs, You are so clever with your Christmas cards they are beautiful, and to be able to make hand made ones, it makes them so special.

Oh Red, that poor friend of yours whose husband is in Japan,  How dare he just call from Japan and break the news, the coward.  Still no good will come for him in the end, or the woman involved, you can't  find happiness on another womens tears.

This is the third one I have heard of in the space of a week.  A friend up in Auckland, the husband told her he was moving out on Saturday, to-day here, and he has, no explanation.  Then I was told this afternoon by my friend Leo that her friends husband has just walked out on her with a friend of hers.  They have a business together, which makes it difficult, and he has cleaned out the joint bank account prior to telling her his news, and it would appear that the women is pregnant and will be having his baby in the new year.  So very sad all round.

I went into town this afternoon, and Leo did my nails, I must say I do feel better for having them done, it gave me a lift.  Bill just drove us in and looked after Jasmine whilst I had a good natter and nail "do" then we just drove home.

I had the name of three eyeshadows to get, mine being circles with a hole in the middle now, and could only get one that I wanted, the other two  discontinued.  So what with the lipstick and now the eye shadows I am fed up I just hate having to choose something else, I always make a mistake.  One time a group of us used to meet up for coffee and once a month put our "mistakes" in the middle of the table and we would swop and try someone
else's mistakes, it was very good and I found a few things that I liked but would never have tried otherwise.

I hope you read the "note" from farmeress that she put on my face book wishing you well Red and Tigs, I put it on the end of yesterdays post.

Well I have got a digital cameral, but allready it looks complicated, Bill had to buy a special extra "thing" which all these type of camera's need.  He choose a pink one for me.  Oh well I do have three weeks holiday coming up, I should have enough family around to show me how to work it.  I am just not mechanically minded.  I find it all very difficult to learn.  Other things I get very quickly but anything mechanical I am hopeless.

Hope all is well with you Yvette

Enjoy your day ladies

Hello Ann, and anyone who may pop in later

I so love the manger scene, I never take the time to look for the cute little pics to post, but I so do enjoy yours.

Congrats on the new camera. Although they may look and be splendid with the extras, it's still a camera,  aim shoot, lol  that's my theory.   Can't wait
for you to learn to post pics.  WE should really start using the other site, and meet up there 1-2 times  aweek to get the hang of it so it is not such a shock to our systems in February.  What do you think?
I am the same way with new tech gadgets.  It took me forever to learn to do anything with my cell phone except make or answer a call, lol.  I can text,  but I am very slooowwww.

I have been lolligagging all day long, and just not in the mood to do anything. I did get the kitchen cleaned up and started to get out things to finish my baking chores but I lost interest when I realised I still had fudge in the pan I wanted to put my new fudge in and I am out of containers to store it for a bit.  I suppose I could use a ziploc baggie,  but now I am blahhh.  I need a tubby and a nap, then I think I will continue with the holiday (festivities?) lol

I have tonight off,  Tim and Ken will go do the 3 and TIm and I will go tomorrow evening. They are running tomorrow rather then Thursday.

   have a good day..

Morning! Lol not really....I didn't get up until almost 11am as I was up till 3am downloading music and I also got three trojan horses which I quarantined as soon as avg spotted them. Aren't there some nasty people about who will deliberately infect files and put them up for decent people to unfortunately download.  Anyway I've got rid now so that's ok.

Mark and James went out last night with Mark's friends three of whom came back with the boys at 5am and slept here overnight. I gave two of them a lift to work this morning and then the third a lift home after she, Mark, James and myself had had a good natter in the lounge for a couple of hours. I really enjoyed it. I should have been cleaning up but what the heck I can push the dirt around another day instead.
I wouldn't allow Mark to drive them to their destinations just in case he was over the limit after his night out.

I did manage to get some jobs done including decorating the conservatory with James help, and putting the tables and chairs together and working out my seating plan for christmas day. Normally it is such a nightmare to do, but this year other than having to swop the furniture round between the conservatory and the dining room it has so far been a cinch. We will have lots more room in there to sit comfortably instead of the usual touching elbows and shoulders. I so hate being cramped when I eat.

Ooh just watching el divo at the mo.....*sigh*

Anyway where was I?

I'm having a quiet evening cross stitching.

Well done Ann on finishing the cake, bet it wont last 5 mins by the time your family get together.
I don't blame you making the most of having Kim for assistance. I could have done with someone like her last year to do the housework cos whilst the boys were very good with meal making and some sort of assistance with the laundry I could have done with more help around the house.

I think the hot pool walking would be very beneficial Ann, soothing warmth on your knee and low impact movement giving maximum exercise benefits.

Yes I'm sorry too Red to hear about your friend and her infidel hubby. Also the people that you know too Ann. Why is it people decide to seperate at a time when it will  have most impact? I think it maybe that they can't face going through the charade of happy families or they have pressure put on them to end it by their mistresses who don't want to face the time alone or thinking about 'their' man being with their families. I suppose the one who is pregnant and due early in the new year wants promised committment fulfilled even at the expense of the existing family. So sad.

Thank you for the compliments re your (my) cards. I laughed at the comment about the snowflakes Red, I think you are onto something there.

I haven't had my nails done in years  glad you enjoyed your session Ann and a natter with your friend even though she gave you some bad news - her friends marriage break up.

Ann the makeup you want, would it still be available in the uk? If it is I'd be happy to search it out for you and send it on.
Good idea that you all had to meet up and exchange it between you what a brilliant scheme and shame it doesn't still happen. Maybe you should reinstate it Ann.

Lol I think you and Farmeress both have pink cameras. Not so sure Sharyn was happy with the colour of hers though. I'm sure if someone could run through how the camera works with you Ann you'll soon get the hang of it. I keep thinking I'll get a new one but mine does everything I need it to even though it is getting a bit battered no thanks to Robert 'borrowing' it without asking because he knows I'll say no. I have bought him umpteen cameras of his own but he either breaks, loses them or loses the lead to connect to the pc.

Your not going to be away three weeks are you Ann?? If so how lovely for you to be on holiday for so long but I do hope you will have internet where you are.
Thanks for the message from Farmeress Ann I did see it yesterday.

Think that's it for now. Hope you are ok Red. I'm off to watch tv for a wee while before going to bed at a much more sensible time tonight as I have church first thing.

Hi Red
Glad to hear you are ok and popped in and posted whilst I was still blethering on.
Just how much fudge have you made?? and who eats it all? If you have too much you know what my address is.

Sounds like both you and me have been a bit naughty and not done very much of what we were supposed to, but what the heck, it does us good to have a day off now and again.
