Tis the night before Christmas, and all through the house not a creature is stirring not even a mouse, so the story goes. This one appears to be eating the food left out for Santa this evening

We have just come back from a Christmas Eve party at Simons, and all feel very tired and very full.  Our first taste of ham for the festive season.  I sat at the table too long and my knee  must have got stuck in one position and was very stiff when I got up to go.  Still I had my physio this morning and won't be going back now until four weeks by the time we go away for three and the days inbetween, do I sound happy about that to you, I should its enought to make me want to celebrate

Oh Red I am glad you liked the Christmas card, the bird on the front was our English Robin Red breast.  Do you have those in America?  It is a real English Christmas bird.  We always put them on the Christmas cards at home with the holly and the red berries don't we Tigs.  Of course over here the Christmas Tree is the pohoutakawa, that is the traditional New Zealand Christmas flowering tree.  It has  big red flowers on it and they come out just around Christmas Time.

Tiggs I hope all your shopping is done, well, I know how well organized you are so I know it is, and all the seating will be in place for your big day to-morrow.  I would love to be able to just "pop" in and say Hi and share a mince pie with you.  Oh wouln't it be lovely if we could just all have an hour to-gether to do just that.  I can see Red nodding from here.

Oh it's really getting late now, I think Jasmine has gone off like a light, very quickly, she was very tired, it has been a long day for her.  So now on with my santa hat and creep to the foot of her bed I have allready filled the stocking so now I just have to put it quietly on the foot of her bed ready for her to wake up to it in the morning

Well I am off for a cup of tea and climb into my nice warm bed.  Today has been really cold and drizzle rain, so it looks like I am going to get my English Christmas after all.  No snow, but mustn't complain as the weather will match the big roast dinner and Christmas pudding.

Wishing you all a happy Christmas Day to-morrow, will be  thinking of you all and wishing you a very merry Christmas.

Hello ladies...
No doubt by now Ann you will be tucking into your christmas dinner as I am now just about to go to bed as it is just after midnight here, the very beginning of our xmas day.

I must say I am quite looking forward to tomorrow (later today) as usually I am quite wound up about all the work that is ahead of me but for some reason this year I am sooo relaxed and of the attitude I've done all I can and will do my best and not worry about everything being perfect as long as everybody has a good time.

Today I spent the first half of the day cleaning, then went to work for a couple of hours. Came home and went to christmas mass with my Dad and Wac and then returned here to a worktop full of veg that needed preparing for tomorrow. I put on some dance music, gave Wac the brussels and we'd got all the veg done before I knew it. Well it was actually almost two hours later as I had to find all my cooking pots and serving dishes but its all done now and set up ready to be cooked from 1130am onwards.

Mark has gone out with friends and says he won't be back late. Robert has had his shower and looks like he's set for the night on the computer and James sounds just as lively in his room. lol They won't be so happy when I say it's parcel opening time at 9am tomorrow!

I am a bit upset though as two of the presents Robert really wanted haven't arrived and I ordered them over two weeks ago. I shall be sending a stern email to both companies in a day or two. Both presents are items that Robert has said he would really like but doesn't know that I was getting them. I emailed one of the companies last Friday to say it hadn't arrived and got cheery emails to say the item was on the way. Had I not been in work for most of the day yesterday I would have chased them up again. I shan't be ordering from those companies again.

James has been good today and set the table for dinner tomorrow which he usually does and saves me a lot of time. I always have to put out one place setting to show him how the culery goes and then he does the other 12 by himself.

Ann it was lovely to read about your xmas eve and how much you enjoyed it, I hope your christmas day goes just as well.
Red I wish you all the best for your celebrations at patty's and at home.

Ann don't forget to keep up with your physio at home whilst you are away or you'll pay the price if you let your exercises slip.

I rang the Dr's today and one of the rheumatology bloods have come back and say everything is within the normal range. I think there is another one to come back yet so I have booked an appointment to discuss the results with the Dr on Wed. I was hoping in one way that rheumatoid arthritis would show up as it would give a reason for my foot pain, but in another I was hoping I wouldn't have it. However I'm not sure what the next step is as there is something obviously wrong as they have been so painful this past five days or so and I want them to get to the bottom of the problem.

Time I was in bed...I have to redress Robert's leg now, he has a couple of small areas that have been bleeding again. Damn thing almost looks healed and then a tiny area flares up. Grrr! He has been in a lot of pain recently but he has been using my treadmill and I think he has overdone it.

ok ladies I really must go. I look forward to catching up with you all (both) very soon.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!
