Morning Ladies Well we are home and once again I have eaten tooooooooooo much Jasmine is just getting ready for bed so will have to get up in a minute to help with the brushing of the teeth. We went into a little "new age" shop this afternoon and Jasmine saw a little hanging wind chime, it has a rainbow at the top of it and she just loved it, it is now hanging up in her bedroom. She is very pleased with it. Yes sweet I have had surgery. I had a total knee replacement. I fell down some stone steps about three years ago and the doctor said I was fine. Well, I wasn't and the knee blew up about eighteen months ago and last December I had a key hole type surgery to "fix" it but there had been too much damage done and the cartelidge had done a lot of damage to the arterial nerves so he could not fix it and so I was walking bone on bone. On 12th November last year i had a total knee replacement and The girls have been helping me through it. Very painful, and still is. Tiggs farther had the same operation so Tigs was able to help me with "how far I was up to, I still have to use a crutch and can't go far. Sorr y to bore you Red, she has had to "listen" to my moans since the operation Sweet Red, I have tried and tried to get onto "multiply" it just says my I.D. name and Password do not match. Then there is another annann29 or am it them then say the pass word does not match and so round and round I go! I am desperate how do I get on. Can't be left out. I will certainly try your "chocolate pudding" Sweet. I like prunes sounds pretty good to me What a shock for Kens brother Red, Diabetes is very serious especially Diabetes no one. Thank heaven that they got him to hospital and I guess they were able to stabilise him there. Bob will now have to follow a special diet won't he? Actually it can be a real wake up call and for some people they start to live their lives very healthily. I read in our paper over here that diabetes is getting more and more common and a lot of young people are getting diagnosed with it. It must be our bad eating habits. Sweet you certainly have the right idea, especially taking your own food with you when you go to other peoples. I would love to do that sometimes, especially when i know that the food is going to be particularly fatty and full of sugar. A treadmill Red, I have always wondered if that would be a good idea, especially as you could go for a walk and never have to leave home, so it would be practical in summer and winter. Have to give some thought to that, it could go where my exercise bicycle stood, (the one I hardly used) So sold it last year. I will wait and see how my "hopalong" type walking progresses I am looking forward and yet not looking forward to seeing my physiotherapist next Tuesday morning after we get back on the Monday. I don't want the pain, but do want to know if I am at the right level I should be now. I feel that I am not improving and wondering if I am not working hard enough. Then I am told it takes at least three months and even six months so then try to be patient! Me patient, thats a laugh. I want to get up and "do" things. It is awful to keep having to sit whilst others do the "work" you feel so useless. Some "bright spark" suggested that it was a lesson for me to stop doing so much for other people and rest!! sounds good, but if that was the case all "us" mothers would be made to rest wouldn't we? Don't know exactly what happened this morning, I was up in the bedroom and Bill and Jasmine had just come in from going up to the dairy for the morning paper, but it appears that a Siamese cat walked in this morning and scared the life out of Lucy and Tashia-Bill shooed it away but Lucy has hidden in the bedroom all day and has forsaken her little hiding place and the birds have been able to eat away happily without her stalking them. Tashia got over her fright quite quickly but did not go far!! The "wasp" eradicators came back again to-day, with an extra man helping, When they came a couple of days ago they did a good job, but there were still a lot of the wasps still circling where their hive was, but this evening there does not seem to be any left thank good ness. We have had a very hot day, then suddenly the heavens opened up when we were in the village supermarket and the noise on the roof was deafening and the thunder roared then it was all over again just as quickly. Funny weather we are having-blame it on global warming Tracy and her husband are going home to-morrow, she popped in at lunch time. She has bought herself a really nice bathing suit, very pretty. She has been swimming in the Lake a couple of times. Simon loved it up here and went out in David's boat, they did not catch any fish, I think the fishermen think the Trout have all gone to another lake!!! We are off to Rotorua for the Day to-morrow, I love looking round the shops there and we will See David during his lunch break. He usually takes an extra long one when we do that. He has been back to work now for a couple of days. The holiday is nearly overy for us now too Everyone is going back to work. Bill will be back next Tuesday. Jasmine does not start back to school until 3 February so she still has a nice break still. I better go now, Jasmine keeps getting up and going back to bed, the bedroom is probably a bit hot for her but she won't have the window opened even a little bit, she has her little night light on, up here it is a little Turtle light. I have tried just opening the little window on the side wall, but she knows its open even though I pull the blinds down over it!! The big window she would know anyway. Still I will just go kiss her goodnight YET again! Enjoy your day everyone |

Good morning Ann, Sweet...? I'm glad your settled in back at home. I know it is so nice to get away, and yet nice to be back home. Bless little Jasmine, she sounds like such a sweetheart of a girl. Not to worry about boring me Ann, your operation is a major part of your life right now, I am glad to hear about your daily recovery. Sounds like you have a new adopted (child) lol. Do you know where that cat came from? Hopefully it went back to it's home. It's very cold here, and more bitter winds to blow in tonight and tomorrow. I can't complain too much as my Mom has almost 10" of snow now and more cold then I. After yesterdays rains I had to dry up all gabby's bedding and she is so happy now. She is makiing the things wet with her in and out of her cat house, it's not leaking anywhere. I can't have it wet because she has a heat rock in it and it is electrical. Ann I don;t know what to do about your multiply account, maybe you can make a new id for it? Talk to Yvette, maybe she can give a heads up. Thank God we have e mail...lol Your on facebook as well, right..? Don't worry, we won't let you escape the group, Went to lunch yesterday with my sons. Ken was sleeping so I didn't bother him (tehe) I enjoyed the company of 2 fine young men. We went to the Chinese buffet. Chrissy called me at 7 this morning wanting to know if we were all OK. Seems she had heard on the news that a rodeo had a bad accident on the interstate, and she knows we drive I 40 and we drive a rodeo, but I assured her we were fine. I guess you gotta forgive someone waking you when they are fretting. Ann, Tigs told me a stationary bike would bore me, lol. Maybe a treadmill would be good for you to work on. They have incline adjustments, and speed as well. I understand about how you feel about being waited on. Sometimes we have to let go...and try to enjoy it, for it surely won't last long. I have found myself with 2 extra Christmas trees. Theya re artificial, but I could not just throw them out. The centers buy new ones each year so as not to store them then toss them all out. What a waste, and they are beautiful 6-7 foot trees, and prelit. I suppose I will store them to give them to a deserving family next season. Right now they stand outback on the patio for they have no boxes. I wil go buy a storage container for each and put them away. I can;t believe the things that get thrown away. Almost a box full of ribbons and bows, serving platters from their office parties. I must be a pac rat by heart, but I cannot throw out something that is perfectly good for using. lol I will find someone to use it, or donate it to the women and childrens shelter. I have a box of things I should drop off now. Seems as though the neighbors have gotten the message about leaving their dogs run loose, as I haven't seen them for 4-5 days now. The home owners group sent them a notice about it. The poor kids down the street could not even ride their bikes as that dog would chase them barking like a fool. I even saw it chasing the UPS man down the street. Crazy little dog, needs some direction. Shame on them for allowing it to behave like that. Talk about boring, I must be the biggest, lol Let you all get back to your day, hopefully your enjoying it. |

Yes, Im here, Red. I did several posts yesterday, so thought I would give you all a rest today. Did you check out yesterday? I mean the one that I added after you posted your last one? Oh, shame on the centres for buying new trees and throwing out the ones from this year. I have a great site here called Recycle Ottawa that I can post stuff on both for OFFER and WANTED. At least it doesnt go to landfill and someone else can enjoy it. I have given away my microwave and a pair of skates - all for nothing. I use a treadmill at the gym - just use it for 20 mins at a time and then go and hide myself in the Sauna. I think this is cheaper than buying my own equipment, which I would probably not use. It is bitterly cold here. I am staying cocooned and doing indoor jobs. Minus 36 outside!!! Yes Ann, just register again with a brand new name and id.
