Hello girls,
A perfect tag for you Sweet.   I sent you a friend request on facebook,  Tigs is already there too, I see you have Yvette.
I agree about the food being good medicine. The old adage, You are what you eat rings very true.  We should not be suprised by Bob's diabetes diagnsis, as it doesn run in his side of the family, Ken has always been the opposite, very low sugar levels.  I have thought about gym memberships,  we had one many years ago that was wasted.  We eat a lot of wrong foods in this house I know for sure.

Ann I hope your doing well today.  Tigs I hope your having a womderful time.
Where is Sharyn????

Bob was released yesterday and he and Patty are headed back home tonight. They will stop in Georgia and pick up Ashley as she wants to come spend a few weeks with her Dad.  It will be nice having her back, she's a sweet girl.

Sweet  I have online sites that sell/give used items also.  I have bought many pieces of furniture from there, one is from Camp Lejeune and it is marines, so when they get orders to relocate, they usually have a house load of furniture to sell quickly, some great deals!  It's also sad because of all the animals that they go through, ( I don't think they should be allowed to own them if they are being relocated so much), but that is just my opinion, and you know what they say about those, lol   It's just sad that the Onslow humane society puts so many to death each week because of surrenders.  Many are pregnant as well, people should be ashamed of themselves.  I prefer to donate to the womens shelter downtown, or the outreah mission that caters to the homeless.

Well ladies, I am off here to try and motivate myself to clean the kitchen, lol
Have a blessed day!

A dressed up Robin is sure appropriate for me.  I am so fed up of having to dress up everytime I have to go outside.  Scarves, two pairs of gloves, toque, big boots, down jackets ... plus my long johns.  What a sight!!!

I was talking to my mother (in London) yesterday, and she tells me the grass is green, and trees are budding  I dont wanna know.  We have at least another couple of months of snow and freezing weather.  And on top of that, our city is busless. I dont have a 9-5 job, so luckily dont need to use buses.  Our mayor is an ass!!!  I dont think he has ever gone on a bus ride and here he is holding the public for ransom and giving the Unions a hard time.  And that is my opinion ... same as Reds version of her opinion.

I am going to make a veggie Chili this afternoon for my friends husband and family, while she is in hospital slowly fading away.  The family are not cooking but keeping a 24-hour vigil so I think my dishes will help ... just a little.

Tomorrow morning I am disappearing for a couple of days to housesit ... so you will not hear from me until Sunday afternoon.   But I will come here before I leave and bore you.

Recycling is so important rather than stuff going to landfill.  Plus people throw away perfectly good things when someone else can enjoy it.  I have hardly any new things in my house.  Most of it donated or on permanent loan.  I cant afford to buy everything new.  I prefer to spend my money on good quality grub.

My farmer is coming tonight with organic goodies ... so I will take some of it when I am housesitting, even though my friend told me to eat their stuff.  No way ... I am not eating processed or store bought prepared foods.  I am such a food snob.  But at least I am healthy.

Yes, shame about the animals when marines get relocated.  And yes I agree with you, they should not be able to have them in the first place.  It is a huge responsibility and just not fair to our dear little furry friends or scaly ones or feathery ones.

Time for me to go and make my chili.  Wish I could share it with the two of you.  Its quite yummy.
