Morning LadiesIt is Tuesday evening here and I am back on my trusty computer.  Bill's lap top was good when we could get a connection, or latch onto some one elses broadband.

Oh Sweet I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend, how very sad for you, It was good that you were able to say a personal good by.  I am sure the husband was so upset he would not have been thinking clearly.  However at times like that you only have that one chance to see a friend for the last time.

Welcome home Tigs, we missed you, even me on holiday and out in the country  next to a Lake and surrounded with mountains and not being able to access the computer I felt you missing when I waS  able to read "our" posts.

Hello lovelee hope you are well and truly back on the computer again now.

Oh Sweet, I loved that film Dr. Zhivago, Yes, I could just fancy being in that sleigh and with Omah Sherif  by my side .....  (dot dot dot) as they say in Mama Mia

How nice Red to have Ashley around you will enjoy that, another "girl" with all your men folk.  Sounds like Bob has to check all the food he eats, that must be really difficult for him.

You certainly visited a lot of places Tigs, Did you get to get a Devonshire Tea?  I guess if you were in Devon and you had tea then that was a silly question  Like when Bill and I were in Paris and we were in a little Cafe by Notre Dame, I asked for "French onion Soup"  "Madame" the waiter said "What other onion soup would we serve in France"   The Dartington crystal would have been beautiful, I would have liked to have seen that.

I do admire you Sweet that you are able to turn down  blueberry cake and cream, I know you are right about what you say to be healthy then you have to have healthy eating habits.  An old school  friend of mine in Vancouver sen't me a book at Christmas,  Detox Solutions-14 plans to Detox your life by Helen Foster
It does look very good and goes into all kinds of aspects of what happens to your body when you eat certain things.  Now all I need is the will power to stay on it.  People have a habit of offering such mouth watering things for you to eat.

Went to physio this morning, I have not improved at all, with all that hot pools bouncing up and down and doing the exercises, still I have not lose any ground either.  My right knee is three inches bigger than my left, so I guess it is still swollen.  Hopefully that is the reason.  Still only wake up once in the night now so thats good.

Yes Red a new president for you tomorrow, Obama.  He has a lot of work to do to get things right after  Bush.  I think a lot of people are looking to him to make a bright new future for everyone. I do hope he does.

We have had another hot day again to-day, we really are the opposite side of the world, we are in our Summer and you are enjoying snow.  Perhaps enjoying is the wong word, but I have a romantic memory of snow all Christmas card like.  Of course the reality of going out in it and going to work would soon bring me back to earth!

Hello Yvette if you look in, and to everyone enjoy your day

good morning ladies,  or afternoon rather.

Sweet, I am so sorry about your friend.  I am glad you did not let her husband keep you from going to see her, that would have been a regret you could not forget anytime soon.  God bless that family, I hope she did not have to leave young children.

A new president indeed. I spent almost 2 hours attached to the tele, and wouldn't you know it the very moment I was waiting for I missed. As he was about to be sworn in the doorbell rand witha  parcel for Joe,  I missed the entire thing, but caught his speech.  A big job ahead of him, I hope he still maintains his enthusiam about all these changes long after today, if so, I think it will be promising. Let's face it, he can't do much worse, lol

IT's snowing here,  we have enough that you can actually see it on the hood of Joes truck and a few flakes here nd there throughout the yard.  The ground was wet from rain so it melted as soon as it hit, but I saw it coming down like crazy at one point. I had to call my Mom so she could laugh at me, for some reason that makes her day, lol.  Maggie kept looking up like someone was throwing something on her,  that was a laugh.  I can throughly enjoy that snow, unlike the one Tigs got.  UGH, sorry Tigs.  Just be careful!  I do not intend on going anywhere this morning, but do need to run up to the store before dinner (which is only half a block).

I wonder why your having such a  difficult time with your new knee Ann.
I should think you should be feeling a lot better by now with it. I know you are not the tyoe of lady to sit around and complain about things, I know your really trying to get back on your feet, (pardon the expression)    Extra prayers are in order!!

My little niece (Breanna) had to have orthodonic surgery this morning. Poor girl had extra teeth  coming in and had to have them removed.  Chrissy called to say she did fine and they were home now. Thank you Lord !  If I do go out later I will stop by and take her a little somethng. She was excited to see the snow, so I don't think she is too traumatized.

I was so discusted last night when we got to Wallace. Seems as though someone bled a lot because our one mop  was (full) of blood.  Why they could not have rinsed it escapes me, but I am certain it should have been done.  There wasstill a bit of a mess around the chair as well. I can't imagine what the other patients must have thought witnessing whatever had happened.  I wanted to leave a note,  PMSL  but I refrained

Have a nice day ladies, as I am off to clean the kitchen...argh  FONT!!!!

Evening all....boy I have such a headache and I can't wait to get in bed so I'll be brief here.

Sorry to hear your knee is slow to heal Ann but at least the wakening with pain has lessened during the night. It is only approx 8 weeks since surgery so it really isn't that long considering the trauma it has been through.

Ann thank you for missing me you won't believe how much I have missed your posts whilst you have been away.

Yes I did have a cream tea on my last day and it was gorgeous! Lol at your french onion soup!

James had the same problem as Brianna when he was younger. Such a worry them having a general anaesthetic so young. Glad she is ok.

at the mop incident. We have IR1 forms we have to complete if clinics aren't up to scratch when we use them for our sessions. You should have something similar and make sure you complain because surely they should have daily domestics to clean up during the day with their own equipment. I'm sure there must be a procedure for cleaning up blood as well. You shouldn;t have to be using that mop now, imagine if the blood was infected with Hep C or similar??!!

I have to laugh at your insistence about multiply Red...maybe one day. Facebook is more than enough for me as I haven't time to be going on lots of different groups.

As for the snow...there is still lots about on pavements and hills but fortunately the roads are pretty clear. Forecast is for lots of rain from tomorrow!

Right I'm off to bed my head is aaaarrrrggghhhhh!

Night all.
