Do school uniforms cut down on teasing in school in that all children are dressed equally rather then some wearing expensive name brands and others thrift store specials?

Definitely Yes!!!!  I see so many kids these days wearing next to nothing, or their undies hanging out their pants...discusting...Pull 'em up
People even let their elementary children dress (sexy).  Like they were dressing their Barbie ro something

I totally agree with school uniforms .It makes all children equal no matter what their background and they also look smart .Thankfully there are not many schools in the UK where they don't have a uniform ,I certainly don't know of any .

Yes uniforms are good, but there is also a down side to this topic because not all parents can afford uniforms, here in New Zealand my 2 teens I had to pay out $380 dollars just for a boys polo shirt, shorts , socks and shoes
For my daughter white shirt with blue band on arms, skirt , socks and shoes all came to the ludicrous sum of 380 dollars.

So I do agree with uniforms and I don't.

Can't realy add any more to what Yvette has said.  It was such a releif when mine went into school uniforms-especially my daughter, saved all that rushing back in to change what she was wearing when she saw her friend coming down the street-my daughter would immediatly change into something like her friend wore-be it jeans, skirt or shorts.  School uniform means they all are the same-Can understand what lilbabs is saying-school uniforms are expensive-however-good childrens clothes are not cheap anyway-So like the smart uniforms best-and no hours of What shall I wear to-day! Its uniform.
