My desk has compartments and shelves, and thats where I have my stapler, punch hole. calculator, huge pile of cut up bits of scrap papers, jar with pens
 
Filing cabinet on either side of desk - one side has lamp and more files - and the other side has printer and phone

lol tigs ... well, you know me.   Larger than life!! 
 
But must say that I am not a drama queen just like to create chaos around me ... well, just a bit.    I am trying very hard to be organized but the problem with that is that I cant bear to throw anything away ... well, I am a Capricorn. So if I cant throw it away, at least I can recycle. 
 
Actually this might be a good thread ... how and what do you recycle?  Are you a donor or on the receiving end??

Oh I recycle...I drive my family mad....I have a pull out bin under the sink for the washed out tins and plastics. A paper bag for loose papers and a cardboard box for the cardboard by the side of my main waste bin that has everything else that can't be recycled in it. Newspapers and magazines go in a green box in the garage. Clothing and shoes are usually passed onto charity shops cos they still have plenty of life in them by the time I'm fed up of them.

I'm a recycle freak lol, i recycle just about everything.
We have a van comes once a fortnight and takes it all way for us.
Its amazing the amount after a fortnight of what you would throw away normally.
The kids are good too, they always remember to put their paper and whatever else in the recycling bins.
