Once you have built your tag and are ready to add the information to it this is what you will do.
1. If you hold down the Alt key and on your number keypad (don’t use the numbers at the top of your keyboard, they don’t work for this) type in 0169 (Alt+0169 just don’t key in the plus sign) you will get the copyright symbol ©
2. Not all fonts make that symbol though. So make sure when you do the copyright information you choose a font that will show that. If all else fails then a simple c in brackets works too (c)
3. That symbol should come BEFORE your artist’s name. Take a look above. You will see that this piece of art is copyrighted to ©H”Azurylipfe”D. That tells me she is the original owner of this piece that was used to make the tag.
4. Now comes the tricky stuff. If an artist has adult content on his/her website you CANNOT add the URL on your tag. That goes against MSN TOU and CoC. All you would do is add the above copyright. The symbol with the artist’s name. However if thee is no adult content on his/her website then you MUST add the URL to his/her website. You will need to make sure with the artist however if it is ok to omit their URL so best to email him/her and explain that it goes against the MSN TOU and CoC. You will find most artists are ok with that…where as others may not be. If that is the case then you won’t be able to use his/her work at the group.
5. This artist does not have adult content and by her TOU I need to add her URL. So now my copyright information will be as you see it above with her URL.
6. You cannot just add Graphic by H”Azurylipfe”D that does not pass as proper copyright information.

7. I am NOT the artist. Yes I may have designed the tag but I do not hold rights to the art used. I can add “tagged by�?but no copyright symbol by my name. The original artist holds all those rights. No matter who…they should always get the credit. May it be the artist above or another one, the copyright symbol should always be BEFORE their name.
8. Now if you totally 100% drew the art and used it, then all credits go to you. Or if you are the owner of the picture that you took. If you were to use one of my pictures for a tag (and no combining artists work) then yes you would add ©Lady Raven Graphics to the tag followed by a “tagged by…�?Same thing applies when you use one of your own pictures in a tag. Always give yourself credit for the work.
So remember, copyright symbol followed by artist’s name and URL if applicable. You can add the “tagged by�?at the bottom if you wish but no copyright symbol by your name unless you are 100% the artist.
