C.E.A.D. stands for Copyright Education Awareness and Development. Please help CILM "Plant the C.E.A.D". by promoting legal tags and licensing. Use the tag above on your emails, in your groups on your websites wherever you would like to "Plant the C.E.A.D".

You can also help "Plant the C.E.A.D." by visiting our NEW Social Network Graphics Website:

CILM Snags-N-Tags
http://www.cilmsnagsntags.com

CILM's new social network graphics website is geared toward MySpace and other social network groups and users. The difference between our site and other social network graphics sites is that we have the legal means to bring a site like this to the community that encourages legal copyright graphics usage. Our new website will encourage other graphics websites to become more copyright compliant as well as giving the PSP hobby more exposure. We have copyright credits on our site to all of our artists and standard credit given to all of our tag creators, all tutorial creators and any stock photography sites that were used. Please note that this is a FREE site and none of the tags are for sale nor were these tags "purchased" from the people that made them.

The above information is straight from CILM. To get more information please visit the CILM site. Thank you.

You have now entered a copyright safe and aware group. Here at Yggdrasil we make sure the tags are properly credited. Please take a moment to read through the following rules pertaining to Signature Tags at this group.

Please note, we do not support the claim of the "Free Use Act" here at the group. Right now this is the current news being circulated amongst taggers and other groups. I support the rights of artists and I firmly believe that credit should be given to those that make it easy for us as taggers to continue to use their art. Remember to give credit where credit is due. You should never use the art of an artist that does not allow permission! Always ask! Would you like it if someone just "borrowed" your material and didn't ask if they could? I bet you wouldn't. We the management reserve the right to delete any and all tag that do not have proper credits on them, or have been posted under the so called "Free Use Act".

The Rules:

1. No visible copyright information. Including Artist's name and URL. The only way you DO NOT need to add a URL to your tag is when there are adult content on the artist's website. At that point a simple ©Artist's name will do. MSN TOU say so!

2. If the artist is a Pay to Use, meaning he/she belongs with CILM, AMI, MyPSPTubes, or any of the other licensing companies and there is not a visible license number on the tag, it will be deleted.

3. You have used a siggie created with the art of an artist that does NOT allow his/her work to be used for such things.

4. You have used a siggie, but the artist's copyright information isn't there, and someone else has decided to claim the art for him/herself. That is a huge no no and we will not tolerate that.

5. I know I don't have to worry about this, everyone here is really good about the content of their tag, but as a reminder to all the new members joining, if we feel the tag is far too explicit we will delete it. We don't mind mature sensual, sexy tags, so long as the naughty parts are all covered somehow.

6. Tags that were made by artists that once did give permission but have since then revoked permissions or have gone and joined a licensing company. Unfortunately once they do that, we have to cease using their work. No matter if they did once give permission. Sucks I know, I've had to toss a bunch of tags and will have to go through all mine again soon!

7. The "tagged by..." person doesn't use the copyright sign in their "tagged by..." name. That is agaist all TOU, artist and MSN. Meaning this is a no no "Tagged by ©Rina" I would get shot for that, it simply has to be "Tagged by Rina" and that's it!

8. No 2 or more artists in the same tag. You CANNONT combine the artwork of mulitple artists. It is against TOU. If you ad something from ©Rainbow Coffi to a tag that's fine I do believe they allow that. If your entire tag is by ©Rainbow Coffi then you will have to add the copyright information. If you use stock photo's by sites that allow a general permission like Stock Exchange then you will have to make a mention of the fact that the photo was supplied by....Read the artist's TOU and memorize it or bookmark it so you can go back and reread it if neccessary. Some will allow stock photo to be used with their art, some won't.

9. NO blank snags are to be offered by artists that are Pay to Use. There has to be wording of some sort or a name on it. It can't just be a blank tag with no text. None of the Pay to Use companies allow that.

10. These rules are in place for text as well. If you have copied and pasted the text from a website that you know wouldn't mind, please leave a footnote stating the site in which you found it and if at all possible the author's name...if required and you have that information.
