the above is an active text link, don't worry, it's just to this board from another. You can link boards on a thread within a group, there's nothing wrong with that so don't go deleting all your posts if you've linked the General board to say herbology or something.

To remove the active link, there are two ways, sometimes the second way doesn't always work, but I will show you both.

First way:
1. Highlight the text link only, then click on your link icon above. See diagram below (circled in red)

2. As you can see there is a link there. Highlight the link, make sure you get it all, hit the delete key on your keyboard then click on insert. The link will be removed and voila you're done...it may show up a different color so make sure you change the color of it to match the color of your text.

Second way:

All you do is place your cursor at the end of the word, right up against it and hit your backspace key, that should work but like I said at times it may not.

To remove links from pictures....

First of all, when you copy and paste a picture from another site that is bandwidth theft, you should always save the picture to your own computer first, upload them to your group album if you have one or your photobucket or foki site before adding them to your post. Once you have added them you can remove the link so they don't go back to your photobucket account or whatever site you use. My tag below is still linked to photobucket, but I can remove that easily.

Photobucket

1. Click on the picture so you get the little nodes on the corners or you can highlight it if you wish. Either works.

2. Again click on the link icon above, repeat the same steps for this as you would for removing a link from text. I don't think just clicking on the end of it and hitting backspace is going to work for this one. You will need to be in the link's window in order for it be removed.

Once I post this you will see that it is no longer linked to my photobucket account.

I hope these handy lil tips have helped you and if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask.
