Some of you know me well, and some of you have met me recently....

I have Arthritis...

They first found it when i was 30 years old...

The doctor told me I would be in a wheelchair in 5 years...

Now at 39...

I am falling apart much faster...

And the wheel chair is soon going to be my new friend...

DAMN IT!

Arthritis has caused:

I have 3 herniated discs in neck

both knees need replacing

Hips need replacing

Spine is messed up

these things have caused marked losses in function for the rest of me...

My hands and arms work when they want to because of constant nerve damage from pinched nerves in the neck...

My right knee has been operated on twice just for cleaning it out...

They say I am too young for replacements.

So now I am pretty overweight, and a high risk for surgeries anyway...

I need to get an appt with my regular doctor so i can get my Right knee looked at. It is swelling up quite big each day and I can hardly walk the little bit I am able to do normally.

I have medicaid, because when you become disabled...that is all they give you for insurance....So the neck has been going on damaged since April of 2004....and more and more problems related to it increase over this time...

Now with the knee...

I wonder how long before that can be looked at by anyone???

then they wonder why I am depressed and anxious at times.....

I am not normally a complainer...

I Just really need some prayers!

Sweetheart, I was a hula dancer in Hawai'i and after a knee injury at work, the weight gain exacerbated previous medical conditions caused from a car wreck in which I was a passenger back in 1988. I now use a motorized scooter and took my dog out of retirement. I live alone. After my initial award for Social Security Disability I was also awarded Medicare. Because my income was so low, I also had Medicaid. Now at age 64, Soc Sec took away my disability, no SSDI in Dec. I have fought and won the Medicare back retro to Dec of last year. I am still waiting for my hearing regarding my disability. I filed again going back to the injury of July 2002 at work using MRIs from 1997 to current.

Pain.....I know the pain. Emotions..like a roller coaster ride. My sanity may be saved somewhat by having a chore provider 2 1/2 hours a day which took 3 years to get.

Prayers are the only thing that really keep me going, that and the loyalty and love of my dog. Please read The Caterfly in my website. I will certainly say a prayer for you when I go to bed tonight. May Jehovah Rapha send His holy spirit throughtout every fiber in your body and burn the infirmities out at the very core. El Shaddai give you rest and reassurace that you are not alone. There are others experiencing your infirmities and in spite of the pain and suffering God is still in control and God is still with us 24/7. Believe you me, I have to remind myself some days. foxylady is a friend of mine......nuff said. I have been using a motorized scooter since April of 2004 but actually qualified for one in 1997. It's been two steps forward and five steps back because of not having help. At my age, God will have to work over time to bring a special man in my life.
