this is a recipe I was given by my grandmother. Hope its the real english version. We love it.

2 cups of flour
2 cups of milk
4 eggs
375 degree oven

beat all ingredients together and put in a preheated and greased pan (8x10 or so)
bake for about 45 minutes or untill golden brown
also cupcake time for about 25  or 30 minutes.

add your own stuff, mix in roast beef, sausage (our favorite) or favorite meat. Can also be eaten plain or with butter. Try filling w pudding for a dessert or sprinkled with confectioary sugar.
We add saugae to ours and some of us pour syrup over it. Make for a great dinner or breakfast.
