As you toss and turn in a midnight
dream, you release a sigh
For within your dream we’ve met
and how you did melt
I was yesterday’s sunshine against
your cheek as you closed your eyes
Drawing in my warmth as you took
a moment to enjoy a day dream
I was the eagle you saw from afar
gracefully soaring high above
From just my glance, my touch upon
your soul was felt by you
I was that little puppy that caught your
smile as you knelt down
You held me softly against your heart
as I gave you puppy kisses
I was the last rainbow you looked at
and there, at the end I waited
Though you wouldn’t have found a
pot of gold, you might have found love
