What is a Community without Communication????
Yes, we have the Boards, but there are many things going on on the boards no one sees because they usually only check out the general page on the main site.
So......
The Coven of Light and Shadows is starting up a newspaper.
Not like the Sabbat Newsletter, which is GREAT, but focused on the holidays.
This newspaper is going to be more like a regular newspaper with articles about current events covering as much of the United States as we can, with news that is relative to our Magickal world.
With sections including :
News
- Upcoming coven activity
- mundane news that impacts the magickal community
- Education
- Politics
- Legal issues
Business
- Coven Business
- Chalandor progress
- Mini Mall news (sales, specials)
Entertainment
- Games
- cartoons
- television
- movies
- books
Features
- Home improvement
- Community guide (spotlights on different boards)
- Coven living
- Editorials
Life
- Family (dealing with mundane relatives on holidays to raising kids in a magickal home
- Health ( Chambers of Shrinking Witches and WicHaven updates)
- "Featured People" ( an interview with a different coven member each issue)
- Travel news (deals on traveling and safety tips)
- Advice column
Don't think that this newspaper will replace or double copy what's on the boards anymore than the San Fransisco Times would replace the conversations you have with your neighbors. As a matter of Fact..... the Newspaper's job is to inform and give you MORE to talk about on the boards!
To do this we need REPORTERS. this Coven is spread from coast to coast, so I am looking for at least 5 people, at leat ONE in each of the following areas to monitor the news and write articles about thier areas in any of the above listed topics.
I need some one to cover the North:
