Hot Buttered Rum 1 quart apple juice 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter 1/4 cup dark corn syrup Nutmeg 1 ounce dark rum cinnamon sticks
Pour juice into a glass or metal pot. Add butter and syrup. Stir constantly while you heat on stove until butter melts and the mixture is steaming hot. Do not allow to boil! Pour into large mugs, sprinkle with nutmeg, and add rum if desired. Serve with a cinnamon stick. Serves 6 |
