Orchata (rice drink)
1 cup long grain white rice
1 cup hot water
4 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 cinnamon bark
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Soak rice in bowl with the water, enough to cover rice overnight. In morning, drain
the water and put rice in large blender. Add 1/2 cup fresh water and 2 cups milk,
sugar, vanilla, and ground fine in blender. Then add 2 cups milk and cinnamon and
ground fine again. Strain through cheese cloth or fine screen several times until the
beverage is no longer gritty. Chill in fridge for later. This is both refreshing and good
for your digestive system
