Honey and Nut Gingerbread
1 cupful honey 1/3 cupful butter 1 cupful cold water 2 cupfuls whole wheat flour 1 cupful chopped nuts 2 eggs 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. ginger 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt
Cream butter and honey together. Add the eggs well-beaten. Mix and sift dry ingredients, add alternately with water. Add nuts last. Bake in a 350 F. degree oven for 45 minutes or until done. |
