Chocolate Mandarin Pie
1 chocolate pie crust:
2 cups of chocolate cookies crushed into crumbs. Mix with 1/2 cup melted
butter or margarine. Pat into pie pan & chill in refrigerator until
solid.
1 package orange jello
1 cup vanilla ice cream
1 cup whipping cream, whipped
1 can mandarin oranges in light syrup, drained
juice from mandarin oranges plus enough water to make 2/3 cup
Heat mandarin orange juice and water until boiling. Dissolve orange
jello powder in liquid. Spoon in vanilla ice cream and mix until
blended. Blend in whipped topping and oranges. Spoon into pie crust and
chill until set. Serve garnished with chocolate shavings.
