Berry Cobbler
1 cup sugar
1-1/2 Tbs. cornstarch
1/2 cup water
4 cups fresh or frozen blackberries or blueberries
1 cup flour
1-1/2 Tbs.sugar
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup milk
Whipped cream, optional

In a medium saucepan stir together 1 cup sugar and the cornstarch.
Stir in the water. Add berries; cook and stir over medium heat until
thickened and bubbly. Pour the berry mixture into a 12x7 baking dish
or a 2-quart casserole. In a medium bowl combine flour, 1-1/2
tablespoons sugar, baking powder, and salt. Using a pastry blender
cut margarine into the flour mixture until crumbly. Stir in milk.
Drop batter by spoonfuls onto the berry mixture. Bake at 400 for 20-
25 minutes or until topping browns. Serve warm with whipped cream,
if desired.
