Filled Strawberry Treats
Ingredients;
2 pints strawberries, whole, washed
1 package cream cheese, (8-ounce) softened
6 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice, fresh
1 1/4 cups crushed pecans or other nut
Wash the strawberries, patting each dry with a clean towel. Leave the stem, but carefully slice a thin layer of the bottom of each one so they will sit on a plate. Set
aside. Place the cream cheese, confectioners' sugar and lemon juice into a small bowl. Cream with mixer for about five minutes. Cover each strawberry with cream cheese mixture, using a butter knife to spread-leave the stem showing. Place the crushed nuts into a pie plate. Roll each berry in the nuts to coat lightly. Serve immediately or refrigerate up to 1 hour. Serve on a pretty platter!
