Coyote

Taking yourself too seriously? If you are, Coyote will throw a banana peel in your tracks just to see you take a silly spill. Coyote medicine is Trickster medicine—the practical joker, the chaos maker. If Coyote appeared in your reading today, be ready for a curveball thrown in your direction. Remember, though, Coyote uses the bizarre to help us learn lessons we just can't seem to get any other way.

Coyote
Coyote is the eternal trickster.  In ancient traditions, coyote initiated pranks and silliness.  But when coyote comes to you, the message is: Don't take yourself seriously.  Despite his clowning, coyote is immensely powerful and helps make things happen.  When coyote is involved, things happen in a way you least expect.  You get what you want, but don't expect to recognize it at first.  Coyote works in mysterious ways.  He, too, is a great adapter and has little to fear.

Coyote is a central figure in many first nation's stories.  Coyote often creates the world.  Coyote is sometimes the hero and sometimes the problem.  If coyote comes to you, you'll know it, when suddenly a laugh erupts or you make a fool of yourself.  You recognize coyote when your wild, chaotic side emerges and you cause a little trouble.  Coyote is the clown doctor, the humor healer, the joker, the destroyer and creator.  Coyote may trick you, may even turn your world upside down.  But laugh with him and you will have heard his voice.

Coyote says, "I come to all peoples now.  I come to you when you least expect it.  I am about surprise.  You open the door to me when you invoke me.  I give you my power of humor.  Are you brave enough to invite me in?"

Coyote is about breaking conventions.  Coyote is about change, disorder, breaking rules, and creative new thought.  Coyote causes an uproar.  Coyote says, "Have faith in what you are doing, even when all is crumbling around you.  Allow your wilds side to emerge, and take yourself less seriously."
Coyote is about not taking yourself seriously while you make and unmake.

Chipmunk

Keynote:
-Treasures of the Earth
-Storage, Work and Play

Chipmunks are related to squirrels and in fact, they are a species of common ground squirrels, which includes about twenty different types. They have very similar characteristics and behaviors to squirrels and thus the squirrel should be studied too. Chipmunks are small with dark reddish brown stripes on their back and they live in wooded areas.

The western chipmunk stores food in the summer and sleeps through most of the winter. Many species of chipmunks have cheek pouches in which they carry berries and nuts. Then they store them in their burrows.

Chipmunks live in underground burrow systems, usually in open pastures and woodland. When building their underground homes, chipmunks fill their
cheeks with soil and eventually carry the soil out and dump it elsewhere so the entrance to the burrow isn't so obvious. By depositing the soil somewhere else, chipmunks can camouflage their homes from potential invaders such as weasels, snakes and fox.

Burrows sometimes extend up to twenty feet and can be quite complex with several exits and many storage chambers filled with nuts and seeds. For the chipmunk, the burrow is a place of safety, homes in which litters of blind, defenseless young are born. Young chipmunks will spend the first six weeks of life in the burrow -- their most vulnerable time.

When the chipmunk appears, it is important to keep our creations protected and out of sight. Usually a six-week period is the most vulnerable time when new projects are initiated and new endeavors started. Mother chipmunks are known to defend their homes and young even against rattlesnakes. For those to whom the chipmunk is a totem, a study of the rattlesnake should also be undertaken.

Chipmunks also teach us how to read the voices of others. Their hearing is so acute they can tell a lot about the snakes from their rattles. The sound of the rattle changes according to how warm or lively the snake is. Larger snakes have a deeper rattle. If the snake sounds sluggish or small, the chipmunk stands its ground and drives it fiercely from the burrow.

Chipmunks have a chit-like alarm call and have several other calls, including a single, high-pitched note repeated about 130 times per minute. They can produce these calls even with their cheeks stuffed full of food. Sometimes chipmunks will start to call in unison and it sounds like a chorus singing.

When the chipmunk appears, trust what you hear in the other person's voice in spite of the actual words. The timbre and quality of speech will reveal more about the person than other clues. Chipmunks always give us reason to examine our lives.

*Are we ignoring what we are hearing?

*Do we need to balance work and play?

*Do we need to be careful about what our own voice conveys about us?

*Do we need to prepare and protect our endeavors, at least through the early
stages?

Chameleon

Chameleon is key to Clairvoiance and Auric Sensitivity

The chameleon actually has a third eye, located on the back of the animal's head, and it blends perfectly with the body.  It doesnot see in the sense of the other two eyes, but it is capable of distinguishing light and dark.  Fot those with this totum, new awareness of their own psychic ability and intuition is being awakened.  There will be greater ability to recognize when it is functioning and when it isn't.

A chameleon does not actually blend intoo its surroundings.  It is already the natural color of its normal habitat. It does change color in degrees according to temerature, humidity, and even emotions.  When frustrated or angry it turns brown.  When happy and/or contented, it turns more of a light green.  This reflects a sensitivity to the environment.

Those with this totum will find their ownsensitivity to the invironment and other peole increasing.  Our auric fields are partly a combination of electro-magnetic vibrations.  We are constantly giving off (electrical) and absorbing (magnetic) energies, and most of the time we are not cognizant of it.  Every time we come into contact with another person, there is an exchange of energy.  We give them some and they give us some.

Those with this totum will begin to realize and recognize this exchange much more distintly than in the past.  Trust what you feel and sense.  The changes and such will be important for your own health and well being.  Learning to read and interpret the aura would be benificial for you.

Spirit of Crow

Role~Carrier of Lost Souls into Light~

Lesson: To Understand the Shadow Within

Element: Air

Wind:  West ~The Quest Within~

Medicine: Shapeshifting

~Keywords~

Carrier of Souls        Shadow Within        Sentinel

Shape-Shifter

Night descends upon the ancient forest as a silky shawl of midnight blue,
settling over all that she encounters upon her journey,
she leaves everything she touches changed in
the shimmering veil of her silver light.

Perched atop the hard surface of granite boulders that dot the mountainside,
Crow stands, head cocked to the side, affording him a gaze
of the moon, as she rides the pathway
of the autumn sky.

From the beginning of the time when ~Great Spirit~ transformed Crow
from the  form of a two-legged, to the shape he now wears,
Crow has dwelled simultaneously in Two Worlds,
one of the earth & the other of the sky.

He is the Watcher that has observed we of the Two-Legged
as we walk along the Red Road of Physical LIfe.

He stands, ever vigilant, at the Gateway between shadow and light,
watching for the Soul that is beginning to Unfold, and then,
with a beckoning call, black wings touch our face,
and we Journey with him, flying from
the Night of denial, and awakening
with acknowledgments Day.

Carrier of Lost Souls into Light

The Crow is a creature that has elicited much thought and speculation amongst all indigenous peoples and across many cultures and times.

To some, Crow is a harbinger of "evil" or portender of physical death, to others, he is one who offers the choice to fly free of the chains of the past and to soar toward self knowing, yet all seem to agree, that this Animal Totem possesses a powerful energy (Medicine) contained within his small frame.

***One who has the honor of having Crow fly by his/her side, is an individual who has the Role of carrying souls lost in pain, denial, bitterness or ill intent, into the light of forgiveness and self-awareness.

When we are reeling in the darkness of emotional pain and turmoil, confused by denying that which we don`t want to see, or feeling bitter over the actions of those who have hurt us, betrayed us or rejected us in the "past," we have become lost on our Path.  It is the Role of one who has Crow as their Power Totem, to then find those lost souls and call to them to make the journey into the light of awareness, and eventually, sincere forgiveness.

For one who does not have Crow as their Power Totem (yet has lost the sense of their Life Path), it is Crow that they would call upon to carry them to re-align with their Path once more, as she is the Totem whose vision sees through the darkest of Nights to find the way back home.

Yet in order that one with Crow Totem can carry others into the Light, he/she must first find their own way free of the shadows of the past.  This can be an arduous task, yet is essential to fulfilling their Role as Carrier of Lost Souls into Light, for how can they fulfill a task that they have not yet completed for themselves?

To assist them in this process, Crow Souls have been blessed with the ability of keen perception, to see right to the core of their own Self.  This is reflected in Nature as the Crow is considered to be the most intelligent and perceptive of all Winged Ones, and she is renowned for her abilities in cognizant thought and strategy.

Whether turned within to gain understanding of herSelf, or reflected back as a mirror to Others so that they may know themSelves, this is a beautiful gift bestowed upon a deserving Soul.***

Shadow Within

All who hear the caw of the Crow immediately recognize that raspy voice.  Yet, in reality, that particular call is only one of the sounds that Crow will utilize to make a statement, call out his territory, or alert other crows to impending danger, though without a doubt, it is his caw that most two-leggeds recognize him by.

He will also make a very distinct chirping sound when he is singing in the morning or welcoming the moon into the night sky, and he can elicit tingles along the spine of the listener when he is warning others of infringement upon his territory, or of danger approaching, with a call that is halfway between a screech and a caw.

***For anyone who is born with Power Totem of Crow, communication is an integral part of their flight along the Sacred Hoop of life.  They are here to express the depth of what they feel, to alternately inspire others with their vision of Life, or to transport them, through beautifully woven words, into other realms and planes of Being.

Yet for their keen intelligence and ability to communicate the intensity, scope and beauty of their own experiences to Others, Crow Soul is one who struggles to find and define him/herself to the Self.  Years, and even lifetimes, may be spent in gradually coming to an understanding and embracing of all the facets that make up their Personality, Mind and Soul.

Part of the process is in uncovering the ~Shadows Within~ that all possess along this Earth Walk.  These are the areas of our Self that represent our greatest lessons and opportunities for growth, yet can remain elusive to our grasp and understanding.  However, once these "shadows" have been fully understood and integrated, then the journey upward to the light of the Higher Self can be easily attained and serve as inspiration for Others.

To achieve this demands that one go Within and illuminate all of the corners of the subconscious where shadows still linger.  To open the door to the corridors of pain where the past still haunts the soul, and shed the Light of awareness so that true Healing may occur.  Then, Crow Soul may share his/her insight, understanding and awareness with others through words (written or spoken) in either literal or metaphorical language, that will invoke understanding and inspiration within Others to reach for the Light within themselves.

This is the Journey of the Soul from Night into Day . . . the blessing of Crow to both the  Self, and the Gift to Others.***

Sentinel

Crows are known for their tendency to observe all that is happening around them and to alert other crows nearby at the first sign of an intruder or danger.  Their keen eyes miss nothing, and when an approaching threat is noticed, they will sound the alarm with their throaty caws echoing in the air.

It is believed that because of their tendency to call out when intruders are around, they have been given the task of being the Messengers of the Ancestors.  In other cultures and times, the belief that they are messengers of the Spirit Realm is also predominant, as in ancient Roman mythology, where a white crow was said to have delivered a foreboding message to Apollo, who then turned all ravens and crows black out of his anger at the bad news.

***Like their Power Totem, Crow Souls are Sentinels who keep silent watch over all that is happening around them.  They will first observe what is occurring, making mental notes on what has been seen, heard and experienced.  They will then translate these thoughts into either spoken or written format, sharing their observations with the world around them.

In esoteric astrology, the Crow would be considered to be much like Saturn, the Gatekeeper, who stands ever at the ready of the Doorway between Planes, keeping the Ancestors informed as to the progress and evolution of those who walk the Red Road.  Yet Crow will also carry messages from the Ancestors to his/her fellow two-leggeds.  This has earned the Crow Soul the responsibility of being the Watcher and the Sentinel, standing as a messenger between the realm of the physical, and the realm of the Spirit.

If Crow is not your personal Power Totem, yet has suddenly made an appearance in your life, then there are messages that the Ancestors are bringing to you that will likely be heralding significant changes in your life.  The more crows that you encounter, the more likely the message is to be urgent and needing your acknowledgment and attention.  Take the time to quietly go within, asking for clarification on the Message being delivered.  Or it may be that you will be called upon to assist others in their journey from the darkness of denial into the light of awareness.

If Crow is your Power Totem and you are suddenly noticing him/her all about you, it is a time to go within, immersing yourself in quiet contemplation, listening to the messages you are to pay heed to for either your own Path, or as a message to relay to Others.***

Shapeshifting

Several creatures of the Earth Mother are believed to have been given the Gift of Shapeshifting, that is transforming from their animal state to that of a two-legged, and back again.  Amongst these Beings who are said to possess this ability is the Crow.

It is said that the Elder Spirits will appear before a two-legged in the form of a Crow so that the strength, character and faith of the mortal can be ~tested~ prior to receiving a special gift or honor.  For this reason, Crow can be clever, attempting to trick the two-legged into folly.  If the two-legged passes the test, then the Crow will transform his shape and appear before the mortal as an Ancient One, who will then deliver a message of great importance, or bestow an ability upon the one who has triumphed in the face of challenge or adversity.

***One who flies with Power Totem Crow, is an individual blessed with great Insight.

This ability to see to the very heart of a matter, serves the Crow Soul well as he/she traverses the ~Earth Walk.~  With the keen perception and ability to grasp complex ideas and philosophies (initially on an intuitive level, followed by deductive reasoning), one with Power Totem Crow may transform the direction of their Journey, their belief system and understanding, indeed their very Life here in Physical.

More often than not, one whose Soul shares a deep bond with Crow will be an individual who may experience an especially difficult early life, wherein a certain sense of detachment or "dis-connectedness" to other two-leggeds has been felt.  This general sense of ~not belonging~ will exist on some level, and at varying intensities, throughout their physical life, or until a deeper level of understanding and acceptance has been attained.

Perhaps it is because, like their Animal Totem, they exist simultaneously within two worlds, that of the Spirit and that of the Flesh, that these individuals always seem to be looking for the answer to all of their questions, and ultimately, a sense of `conection.~

Yet the true thirst for connection comes from the Soul of Crow desiring to re-connect with all that was once known, yet lost when the Soul is cast upon the blank shores of forgetfulness that is Physical Life.  He/she seeks to connect all that which was known, is now known, and will one day be known, thus perhaps receiving the Answers to all of the Questions which fill their active and pondering minds.

When one with Power Totem Crow comes to realize that he/she is already connected to that vast repository of Universal Knowledge, and that the Earth Walk is the "schoolroom" of that great university, then, the process of transformation begins.  This leads him/her to the discovery that one is never truly ~dis-connected~ in the first place, merely walking on a different level, plane or experience than some of the other two-leggeds.

Once this realization has been made, then Crow Soul will begin to Shapeshift from the bindings of the past, which have dictated that there must be something "wrong" with his/her way of experiencing, feeling  or viewing ~Life,~ and can instead, come to Accept, Celebrate and Love the Self.  This is when the integrated human (mind)/crow (soul) may truly fly free.***

Two Crows Dancing in the Wind
Crow represents the keeper of true law. True law is founded upon karma, and karma determines the dance of relations in present time and in ascension. Karma holds a particular dance in place until it has been released and transcended in full. It is through transcendence that freedom from karmic relations is found. As karmic relations are transcended more and more in the human dance, unity becomes the outcome with humans dancing together in equality and joy. Mila and her organization are emerging into this new paradigm, and it is most wondrous for all nature kingdoms including Crow to observe.

It may be difficult for humans to understand that all human relations are karmic. There is not one friend that one has that one holds not a karmic bond to. There is not one family member in one's birth family that one does not have karma with. There is not one job one has ever had that was not the result of requiring to settle a prior karmic debt. Furthermore, there is not one product that one purchases in human form, nor one institution one relies upon such the bank, that is not founded upon a karmic debt. Crow is the keeper of the knowledge or karma, what is true karma, and what is false. We are also the keeper of the information on how to balance the scales relieving oneself of all debt over time through ascension.

Crow has an ocean counterpart, which is salmon. At one time, Salmon was revered by North American Natives as a food source, which sustained their life and well being, particularly as salmon moved upstream to spawn its young. Much like Buffalo for the Native American plains people, those in the Northwestern regions relied upon salmon fat to endure the lengthy winters. Salmon like Buffalo has agreements to support human well being and does so in love, although not much love until recent times was returned by humans harvesting Salmon global wide. This is changing at last as more humans remember to bless their food. In the act of blessing, one honors the kingdoms that sacrifice themselves for the sustenance of one's existence, and returns the chi in a balanced dance of giving and receiving so that more young may come forth to continue to feed mankind. This is true law in action, which equates to balance in giving and receiving.

Mila has written about the dance of bear and salmon in other materials. As salmon moves upstream to spawn, bear feasts. In the feast is a dance of communion between the souls of salmon and bear. In the communion, bear returns equal chi to the life ingested in the feast, which cause more eggs to be laid so that there are plenty of new salmon in the year ahead. The Natives consuming Salmon would remember this law and honor the kingdom, and in exchange were blessed with plenty of salmon in exchange year after year to feast upon.

Humans in forgetfulness fail to bless their food source. This is why food does not grow in plenty, and humans have learned to rely upon artificial fertilizers to force the plants to grow. Now are also hatcheries in which fish are farmed. Such fish and food source is devoid of soul, and cannot ascend. As such food source dies, humans will be left to hunting and gathering again, unless more conscious farming practices come forth in the human dance. One of the intents laid forth by a small group convening at Conclave this past month was for more conscious farming to come forth so that those humans who do survive and ascend are not left to starve in the coming 25 year period of cleansing. Many may also be called to return to the garden, raising the basics for one's own family or community in their own backyard. In so doing, one will place the chi and love into the land, and the land will reap plenty of food in return out of the love shared between human souls and the souls of the nature kingdoms.

Most humans other than indigenous peoples have lost the remembrance of true law and balanced giving and receiving. Through the consumption of salmon, all humans are being re-infused with the vibrations of true law. In so doing, and in the coming decade, humans shall begin to relate to one another differently and founded again upon true law. The current law that mankind functions upon is far off course from true law. Humans are taxed and pay interest to humans that give nothing in exchange, creating a deficit, which expresses itself in poverty, hunger and homelessness. Why is this so? To the extreme that one pole is expressed, with is wealth through taxation and banking, to equal extreme must the other pole be expressed, which is starvation, hunger and homelessness. As humanity awakens again to true law, Crow foresees that there will be a restoration of balanced giving and receiving that shall occur. As this occurs, so also will the experiences of starvation, hunger and homelessness come to an end.

There is a saying in Hawaii surrounding "living from what the land and sea can give". At another time and in Hawaiian Fishing Villages, where all grew taro plants in the garden and harvested their needs from the sea, such humans lived freely and without penalty. Indeed as the white man populated Hawaii; fishing was outlawed, along with Hawaiian Fishing Villages. The Hawaiians were asked to pay taxes, which forced many from their own homes and gardens and pushed to work for the sugar and pineapple barons. So greedy are the barons and humans behind the banks of your world that over time, any natural means of supporting a human existence has been outlawed in most parts of your world.

This is an extreme example of imbalanced giving and receiving. However, any extreme polarity will swing the other way, and sooner or later the expression of living from the land in balanced giving and receiving will again be so. Such is the nature of the swing of the poles, and to the degree it is extreme in one direction, so it also will become in the other. One may look at the current tax and banking systems and wonder how this may come about? How can they possibly be restructured? We suspect that they will collapse as humans ascend and either refuse to pay by returning to bartering with one another, cutting the "middle man" out of the dance, or die off in large enough numbers that there are simply not enough paying those who benefit.

Humans have reached a place where they are so convinced that food comes from the grocery store or restaurant that the remembrance of how to hunt and gather has been forgotten. This is tough, as if times change, how will such humans feed themselves? Salmon is infusing humans with the remembrance of how to hunt and gather so that they will remember when the time comes, and will therefore survive. All kingdoms love our human brothers and sisters, who have fallen into great forgetfulness, and in so doing, are our teachers. You teach us about what not to create next time, and as all kingdoms rise out of the dance that has not supported the whole, a new and wondrous tomorrow will be born. And to this we look forward to, as the new era will be one of unity and joy amongst all species including mankind.

True law in the human dance requires that one balance the scales of karma only with those that one sincerely has karma with. Our channel has written much about the manipulations that occur unconsciously amongst all humans, one of which includes karmic manipulation. It is not unusual for humans to displace karma on to others, and this is standard practice in your shopping malls and grocery stores. The stores place karma on to humans so that will be obligated to buy buy buy their merchandise keeping the store in business; the more successful the store at displacing karma, the larger the chain or the bigger the mall. Ascending humans will require becoming aware of the manipulations of karma, returning that which belongs not to oneself, as otherwise one will be forever enslaved to an environment and preoccupation that does not support one's evolution.

For it is not just malls and shops that displace karma, but all industries, including the banks, education system, government, corporations and businesses of all kind. The more successful the industry, bank or business or the more wealthy the country, the better gifted at the displacement of karma on to those who buy buy buy of their products of services and pay taxes. How can one ever balance giving and receiving under such a circumstance? One must balance giving and receiving in order to ascend. And is this not why the forces of the dark set up such an inequitable system in the first place, to assure non-ascension of mankind which insures their continued dominion over earth?

Ascending humans will pull out of the dance in due course. Those mapmaking ascension are finding a means out of the dance of karma through the transcendence of karma, and then the balancing of the scales each day, week, month and year of their ascension with all one knows. How does one balance the scales? One intends completion. Here are some suggested intents that shall assist each in rectifying the karmic manipulations that occur in such great prevalence in the human dance. One may make these intents each day in meditation.

"I intend to complete with all family members, friends and acquaintances each day. I intend to balance the scales of karma and chi in full."

"I intend to complete with my employer and employees or fellow workmates each day. I intend to balance the scales of karma and chi in full."

"I intend to complete with all industries, banks, food providers, malls and specialty store chains that I frequent each day. I intend to balance the scales of karma and chi in full."

In so making these intents, the scales of giving and receiving may be rebalanced after interactions that may cause karma to go greatly out of imbalance through karmic manipulation. In so doing, one will be able to ascend in ease, for the calling of completion causes any karma that is not one's own or has not one's own energy signature to be returned to its source of origin.

There are two types of completion, major and minor. Minor completion allows the scales of karma to be balanced after all interactions in a particular day, week, month or year. Major karmic completion brings about change. There are non-ascending humans in any ascending human's life dance. As such, there may be a time when all karma is settled between you, and this will cause an ending of the relationship. If the relationship is with one's employer, one will change jobs. If the completion is with the bank, one will change banks. If the completion is with one's spouse, one will divorce and move on to their sovereign journey. If the completion is with the region that one lives, one will move.

If one completes all karma without ascending, one will die as one is complete with the physical plane. Intending completion without the intent to ascend will indeed shorten the life span. However in ascension, there is always more ancestral karma in the next vibrational bandwidth that one has risen into, and as such there is always more karma to complete upon between oneself and all others. Little by little, as one rises to full consciousness, all karma between all humans is released in full for one's ancestry, and then one is completely free. Our channel Mila and her beloved Oa are embarking upon this state in the year ahead, and will write more about what it means to live beyond the dance of karma that has driven all human relations for 50,000 years.

True law states that only karma that is legitimately one's own must be paid upon in order to settle any debt. Any manipulation of karma added either in one's present life or in one's past ancestral inheritance is null and void. For a long time, and before this was understood, Mila and Oa fulfilled upon a lot of debt that was not sincerely their own. As they came to understand this, they intended all karma without their personal energy signature as uncovered in their entire tapestry of ancestry to be removed, and anything missing or given to others recalled. This too is a good intent for ascending humans to make, along with retrieving parts of one's tapestry that have also gone to another in the dance. Due to the scrambling of karma, pieces and parts of one's own true inheritance have gone to another, either in one's present life or in one's past life ancestral dance. In the straightening out of the tapestry of ancestry, this is rectified, and one may be insured that one is clearing only one's own karma in ascension. One may intend to repair the tapestry of ancestry before falling asleep at night, and so it will be done.

To ascend, the initiations require that a complete tapestry that is sincerely one's own inheritance be present. Otherwise, whose karma are you settling, and what genetic information are you anchoring in the form and ascending into? If it is not truly one's own inheritance, how could it possibly be compatible with one's current form, and if not compatible, the dissonance will increase causing biological illness rather than ascension. For this reason, correcting the tapestry of ancestry is most important for ascending initiates.

Sometimes, as one corrects their tapestry for the first time, they may discover that the job that they have or the spouse that they are with is the result of a manipulation, and that there is no karma to call one to the dance. This would invoke a major completion and most likely a separation. Over the coming 18 months, the tapestry of ancestry of all humans who are ascending en mass (8 billion planet wide) will alter. In so doing, there will be much change as so many humans are living lives not founded upon true karmic inheritance, so manipulated the human tapestry of ancestry has become.

For those that are ascending, change becomes a way of life the further one moves up in vibration. Perhaps you will be present to support the others who are just rising to the occasion, so to speak, allowing them to better understand all of the change in their life dance from the perspective of mass human evolution, and the return of true law. After all, is this not what becoming a leader in the ascension movement is all about? Such leadership may not involve being a teacher of ascension, but rather a voice to all that one knows who is experiencing the changes inherent in ascension. This form of leadership is as valid as any other form beloved.

Crow has often danced for Mila. Once on a trip to the South West and on a trail in Sedona Arizona, two crows danced for Mila and Oa. They made so much noise as the wings hit the wind that Mila thought there had to be a helicopter nearby. So surprised was she that it was simply the sound of our feathers as they danced in the wind as we circled one another. Mila has called upon our presence for many years, and even in her early ascension, which began almost a decade ago. Mila was drawn to Native American teachings, and connected to the nature realms as a result.

We would assist Mila in understanding where she was out of balance in her life dance, guiding her to give less and receive more. Many upon the spiritual path give and give and give, until there is nothing left as there is nothing in return. Crow will assist those who are predisposed to giving too much to come to balance; likewise for those predisposed to taking too much, we too will assist you also in returning to balance. Often when one gives too much in one area of one's life dance, one receives too much in another. Balanced giving and receiving equates to the balance of all dances, with all others, and with all groups or institutions in human form along with all other species upon earth.

As one begins to come to balance, one may find that there is a long-term deficit in one direction. Mila had deprived herself of the things she longed for, and for a three-month period she spent spent and spent, filling herself with the longing that she had denied herself. Crow was present to witness this, and observed Mila going from depleted to full in the experience. In the fullness, Mila found that she didn't desire anything much any longer, and balanced giving and receiving was the end result thereafter. Each will have one's own experience of coming to balance with giving and receiving through ascension.

True Law also outlaws karmic infractions. Often Mila has found herself attacked by those that she has no karma with. Under such a circumstance, she would take her case to the karmic board and a settlement would be made. Those allowing the attack through their unconscious that was outside of the laws of karma now had a debt, and the debt was inherited by all related to their ancestry. Crow will assist in any karmic infraction that is outside of the boundaries of true law for any ascending human. One must simply call upon us for guidance and support, and so it will be.

We hope that the information shared is of support in your personal journey of ascension. Each of our kingdoms have special blessings and vibrations to share known as "medicine" by Native Americans. We provide our blessing through our channel for each who so chooses to open their heart and receive.

Many blessings upon your continued journey.
Namaste

COUGAR, MOUNTAIN LION

Muscles rippling, free on the mountains,
Great cat of cunning, hunting and seeking,
Teach me quietness and stealth of purpose.
Show me the secrets of quiet magic.

Leadership

This is a very powerful, but very difficult totem.
Cougar medicine is the lesson of the use of power,
how to be an effective, fair leader and not abuse power.

This totem’s gift is how to balance power, intention, strength and grace.
It is the balance of body, mind and spirit.
The first responsibility of leadership is truth.
Remember:  Responsibility is no more than the ability to respond to any situation.
Cougar can teach you how to bring out your power
and fill your heart with it that will enable you to take charge of your life.
You can use Cougar power to defend yourself or to attack.

Cougar Totems

The Cougar is also known as Mountain Lion, Panther & Puma ...

This cat goes by several names including Mountain Lion, Panther, and Puma. They are solitary cats who, unlike other cat species, are active during the day. They are also the most widely distributed cats in the Americas. These elusive hunters will pounce on their prey with a strong short burst of energy after studying its movements, never hesitating, showing none of its movement is wasted.

Cougar spirit will teach us to assert ourselves, and take control of our life so we can become leaders. Cougar's graceful swiftness shows us how to understand the natural flow of our environment and move into a position of leadership.

Leadership

Watching the Cougar (also known in other cultures and regions as either
Puma or Mountain Lion) one is keenly aware of the formidable grace and power that is reflected in every stride taken or leap made.  And yet the sense is that the Cougar has a conscious awareness of his strength and the potential to inflict great harm with very little effort, a fact that is reflected in the tenderness with which the female cougar treats her young as a mouth that can easily crush bones is also capable of exceptional gentleness as she bathes her cubs.

Adults can weigh in anywhere between 100 - 200 lbs., with an average
length of 48 - 60 inches with an additional 28 inches of tail.  They are renowned jumpers, possessing the ability to leap 30 feet horizontally and up to 18 feet vertically, a testimony to the powerful leg muscles of these magnificent creature beings.

***For the two-legged beside whom Cougar strides, there will exist an inherent power and strength that is the very core of their Being.  These are incredibly powerful individuals, though such power is gifted via a process of trial and error as the Cougar soul learns the difference between using such formidable power, and abusing it.

Most Cougar individuals have an inner respect and understanding of their
own abilities and hence, will generally not throw their weight around unless they are either backed into a corner from which there is no obvious escape, or unless they are operating from an extremely damaged or unintegrated Personality Center.  Yet for those who begin wielding such a gift in a reckless manner, many painful encounters and situations will arise that may initially perplex the one who walks with Cougar, bringing losses in fortune, falls from positions of leadership or even public humiliation and/or scandal.  Eventually, the unintegrated Mountain Lion will reflect upon the choices that have led him/her to such losses and embarrassments
and, in new found humility, they will recognize the Lessons behind such experiences and (in most instances) modify their behavior and beliefs accordingly.

One of the hallmark characteristics of the Cougar Soul, is an innate quest to
reach the best within themselves.  It matters not whether they reach the top of the corporate ladder, excel academically, or are the leader of a cherished cause, these individuals will exude the sense that they are meant to be in the role of leader.

Interestingly however, most two-leggeds beside whom Cougar pads, will be reluctant leaders and will often find themselves at the top of the chain of command during an emergency or crisis when less capable individuals collapse around them.  Seeing what needs to be done and acting accordingly, the Mountain Lion will stabilize the unbalanced situation and perform damage control.  This capacity to calmly assess and rectify problem situations will not go unnoticed, and here again may lie a challenge for the Cougar soul.

Because they generally make reluctant admirals (at least initially), the one that journeys with Mountain Lion may appear somewhat unimpressed with gaining the same promotion that may be jealously coveted by their peers.  Such apparent indifference is often misinterpreted as arrogance, and petty envy amongst co-workers often surfaces as a result.

When Cougar Soul can embrace in humility and grace his/her Gift of
Leadership and wield such power with compassion and strength, the leap is made to a higher plane of unity with the Soul’s Unique Purpose for incarnating.***

Standing Behind Convictions

Most cultures that have Cougar as one of several key figures of their lore
recognize this beautiful cat as a creature of great strength, cunning and power.  And in observing the Mountain Lion in the wild, it is easy to see where such tales of prowess stem from as they utilize not only their strength alone, but also employ their intelligence and stealth.

By looking at the solid and long form of the Cougar, it becomes apparent that these cats are designed for multiple tasks, as their large paws bespeak of an ability to traverse a wide variety of terrain from grassy paths to high granite walls.  Their long, thick tails assist them with balancing in precarious positions and heights, while their muscular legs propel them higher and longer in leaps than any other cat.  Such a diverse design hints at the ability these animals have to gain dominance over their environment and maneuver in areas virtually inaccessible to other creatures of the wild.

***As Cougar is sure-footed atop their canyon and desert perches, so is the
two-legged beside whom Cougar strides, certain of his/her approach to life.  Much like their Totem Spirit, the human counterpart will exude an aura of quiet strength that will make an impression upon Others.

The impression made will almost always be one of respect and/or
admiration, though the Cougar Soul seems to elicit extreme responses in Others.  While some peers encountered taking an instant liking to the Cougar individual, while others will feel immediately threatened by the strong presence and hence an immediate and vehement dislike may ensue.

Yet all who come to know the individual beside whom Mountain Lion
journeys will tend to agree that these are souls that stand firm in their beliefs and convictions.  These are the sort of people who appear to have a moral fiber made of bedrock as they will seldom waver or be badgered from their beliefs.

Although their moral/spiritual beliefs may not necessarily be “traditional,?/FONT>
they will have a set of self-imposed code of ethics and morality that they will stand firmly behind.  These granite philosophies are part of what makes these individuals so highly trusted by friends, family and those who know the strength of character the Cougar soul exhibits.

Conversely, there will be an equal number of detractors that would love
nothing more than to see Mountain Lion tumult from a position of great height, as perhaps their own honesty and conviction pales in comparison to the Cougar’s lofty spirituality.  Such individuals who are operating from a point of insecurity deeply rooted in a unintegrated Personality Center, will tend to project their own unresolved issues off onto the Cougar soul, rather than examine where they may improve and enrich their own lives by living in closer accordance with their own belief system.

When challenged on their morals or beliefs, the Cougar individual will
become much like the Mountain Lion defending his/her territory, and an ordinarily placid two-legged can come out with fangs bared when backed into a corner.  Such attacks on their beliefs are capable of cutting right to the core of the Cougar soul, as these are honorable people that do their upmost to be trustworthy, dependable and honest.

If a two-legged with Cougar as a Totem is operating from the Shadow or
~Contrary Medicine,~ there may exist a tendency to be dogmatic in their practices or beliefs, holding very little patience for philosophy or belief systems different from their own.  Yet this is rare, as most Mountain Lion’s respect the “spiritual territories?of others almost as much as they guard their own right to think and believe as they see fit.

For the two-legged operating from the Higher Octave of Cougar Medicine, the men are the knights in shining armor of eras long past that live and defend the values of trust, honesty, faithfulness and honor.  The female Cougars are the ~Earth Mothers~ that exude an aura of Oneness with the All and a deep reverence for the environment.  In both the male and female, a profound connection and respect for the ancient customs and traditions of indigenous people will be felt and expressed, though they themselves may not have been born with Native American blood and remind Others of the importance of respect for the Wisdom of the Elders.***

Balance

As previously stated, the Cougar is the top cat when it comes to leaps of
distance and height.  This is due to both the strong leg muscles these felines possess, as well as the balancing weight of their tails.

Most often, the Mountain Lion (true to one of its names) dwells atop lofty
perches in mountains and canyons, as well as high desert mesas.  Such heights as these animals dwell requires sure-footedness and grace of movement, and herein their long and thick tails are employed to assist with balance as is required of those who exist in such precarious terrain.  Acting as a highly effective counterbalance, the Cougar’s tail assists in steadying them as they walk along the narrow pathways and crevices etched from the granite and sandstone cliffs in which these beautiful creature beings call home.

***For the two-legged with Cougar as a Primary Totem, the keyword of
Balance becomes crucial in integrating a ~holistic~ Mind/Body & Spirit approach.  Although these individuals are by nature very sensual and “earthy?types (and as such there will be an emphasis on their physical ~Self~), they are also keenly aware of the needs of the mind and soul as well.  If the Cougar Soul is in good physical shape yet is not developing his/her spiritual side, or conversely, if the one beside whom Mountain Lion stalks is involved in spiritual learning and growth but they don’t exercise their body or mind, the unbalance will be more keenly felt than it would be for other individuals.  The result is that there will be much inner turmoil
and stress with the questioning of “what is missing in my life??becoming a predominant pondering.

The best form of physical exercise for the Cougar individual would be one
that takes into consideration the Whole Self (again, Mind/Body and Spirit).  An excellent example of such well targeted exercise for the Mountain Lion, would be Yoga, or perhaps Ti-chi, as these are both forms of exercise that employ All levels of the Self . . . the body is in movement, the energy centers are being stimulated and aligned, and the mind is in deep focus or meditation.

If you are a Cougar Soul and are currently feeling “out of alignment,?pay attention to this feeling and heed it, for this is precisely what is occurring.  Stop and take an honest evaluation of your life and your approach to this Journey.  What are you neglecting, or what areas of your life and expression are you over-indulging in?  Because Balance is such a key for you, it is crucial for your development that you become aware of your keen need for a WHOLE approach to life.

Are there certain individuals that are draining you of your energy, freedom or right to express yourself in a healthy and meaningful manner?  If so, then those relationships need to also be evaluated in detached honesty.  Because of your powerful, yet unassuming nature, there will be those that will seek to undermine your confidence and balance.  If this is the case, confrontation, restructuring of relationships or even some “endings?may be in order.

The art of Balancing your life ought to be approached in stages however, as it is also quite characteristic of the Mountain Lion individual to immediately leap into action and attempt to take on too much at once.  The key here is moderate and progressive steps forward.  No matter how long the journey takes, and regardless of the occasional step or two “backward,?so long as more movement is made forward than back, the Journey is being walked and the goal is drawing ever nearer.  Remember, we all arrive exactly where we need to be, exactly when we need to be there.***

Messenger between Humans & The Divine Beings

Cougar Animal Totem

Native American lore holds the Cougar as the champion of the two-legged
who presents the humans “case?to the ~One Above.~ Acting as the emissary on behalf of we of the two-leggeds, Cougar asks for forgiveness for our follies and misbehavers while carrying messages between human and the Divine.

Because Humans are capable of intentional and unprovoked violence, spite,
hatred and other emotions and behaviors not witnessed in the Creature Beings, the task of emissary for Cougar can be a challenging one.  He/she must find the Light at the center of the darkness, the beauty and grace that lives beyond the sometimes tangled core of the human personality center.

For his faithful guidance and support of we humans, he is revered amongst
many tribes, and given thanks for acting on our behalf.  His belief in us a faith that may best be reciprocated in acts of kindness to All Life, compassion and embracing in understanding the surface and transitory ~differences~ of spiritual beliefs, race or economic background of our fellow two-leggeds.  In this manner, we show our thankfulness for his faith and trust in us.

***Cougar Spirit will travel beside a two-legged who possesses a keen insight and perception.  This insight may surface via an ~extra-sensory-perception,~ or it may firmly rooted in a more ~practical~ understanding of the human psyche and subconscious mind.  Both mediums and psychotherapists are often found with Cougar as a Primary Animal Ally.

The Mountain Lion Soul will often be a bridge of understanding between
two diametrically opposed individuals, factions or groups as theirs is the Medicine of Emissary.  As such, others will often turn to them for their non-partial perspective as the Cougar individual is quite capable of seeing all sides of any given situation.  Then, when he/she becomes connected with a cause or belief, they make excellent, out-spoken proponents of such a cause and hence are outstanding spokespersons for a variety of ventures which capture their attention.

While such Medicine brings the Gift of harmony between opposites, the
individual with Cougar as a Totem will often find him/herself in the middle of an argument, attempting to bring understanding and equilibrium to both “sides.?nbsp; This is a beautiful trait when it is the Cougar’s conscious choice to become involved, yet the challenge is that the two-legged beside whom Mountain Lion walks may often find themselves immersed without a conscious decision to do so.  Friends, family even strangers may take advantage of their inherent drive to be a mediator, and in those moments, the Cougar Soul may suddenly find themselves the target of attack from either side, becoming the “middle person?in an entirely uncomfortable sense of the word!

By establishing clear boundaries and guidelines with Others as to when and
by how much, they are willing to act as a “go between,?the Cougar individual is fulfilling his/her principle Medicine of Messenger without falling victim to the unresolved issues and grievances of Others.  As the Cougar grows from cub to adult (spiritually/metaphorically speaking), the lessons learned in defining boundaries assists as they fulfill their Medicine of Messenger and teach Others the power of understanding and harmony.***-

Animal Superstitions, the Crow

The English have a rhyme about crows: one means anger; two is mirth; three is a wedding; four a birth; five is heaven; six is hell; seven is the devil himself.
To the natives of Northhamptonshire, however, a single flying crow is an omen of bad luck instead of anger.
If a crow makes a hoarse hollow sound, it means bad weather is coming. If a crow calls three times as it flies over a house, someone will die.
Crows or ravens gathering in trees in the dark, but never really settling, are souls in purgatory, according to the Irish.
In Russia it was believed that a witch’s spirit took crow form.
Another European saying about crows is: one for sorrow; two for mirth; three for a wedding; four for a birth.

Astrology for Cats

Astrology is perhaps the most ancient of the occult sciences, and undeniably the most popular one in practice today.  Astrology is used for charcter analysis, personality profile, daily guidance, and prediction.  Its appeal is worldwide and its popularity continues to increase as more and more people are finding spiritual fulfillment in the New Age and alternative religions, and allowing their minds to open up to the metaphysical and mystical realms.

Astrology is especially important to those who follow the paths of Wicca and Neo~Paganism because the yearly spring and autumn equinoxes, and the summer and winter solstices correspond with the Sun's entering of the astrological signs of Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn, respectively.  The influence of the Sun in these signs has a signigicant impact on the changing seasons and their magickal vibrations.

Astrology is also an important aspect of the magickal arts.  For example, working with the appropriate astrogically based oils and gemstones that correspnd to the astrological position of the Moon will reward you with greater results when casting spells and performing rituals.  In addition, the more a witch or neo~pagan works with the enegries of the stars in magick and divination, the stronger his intuitive and clairvoyant powers natrually become.

As most people already know, there are twelve signs of the zodiac in Western astrology.  The first one Aries, followed by Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces.

Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius are ruled by the element of Fire.  Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn are ruled by the element of Earth.  Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius are ruled by the element of Air.  And Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces are ruled by the element of Water.  The Fire element corresponds to the spirit and to all spiritual aspects of life.   The Earth element is linked with the physical realm, stability, and human needs.  The Air element corresponds to the intellectual aspects of life and also to communication, while the Water element is strongly connected to the emotional side of human nature, as well as to the psychic realms.

What is commonly known is the basic sun sign astrology uses a person's date of birth sign to determine certain information such as personality traits, strengths, and weaknesses, and sometimes even physical characteristics.

Most people, witches, neo~pagans included, associate sun sign astrology with humans and human affairs only; however, the same twinkling stars that exert their mystical influence over the human race shine down upon our four~legged friends as well.  If astrology can work for people, it also can work for cats {and other animals}.

Every feline possesses a distinct personality that is greatly influenced by the astrolgical position of the Sun at the moment of its birth.  A cat's sign can also give an indication of its temperament and the signs of humans and of other animals it is the most and least compatable with.

Putting together a horoscope for a cat is basically the same as doing so for a human.  Both have ascendent, twelve houses, ten planets, aspects, conjunctions, and so forth.  The only difference between a cat's chart and a human's would be the way in which the horoscopes are interpreted.

For instance the tenth house in a chart is primarily concerned with career:  Whichever planet the sign are found there have a major influence upon one's job aptitude, talents, and career direction.  How then, you might thinking, would something like this relate to an ordinary housecat's chart?  Certainly most cats, with the exception of a few television stars like Morris, are not too concerned with having a career... at least not by what the human defination of a career is.  But if we allow ourselves to look at the world for a cat's point of view, we would realize that to a cat such things as keeping a barn or house free of mice, guarding the territory against intruder cats and other strange animals, or simply just being loyal and loving companion to its human master or mistress are indeed important jobs.  These jobs have both challanges and rewards.

This is interesting stuff huh?  Next are the sun signs of cats.

Blessed Ra
Bastet

 ARIES

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac; therefore, it is not at all unusual for the Aries cat to want to be first in line for everything.  Aries are ruled by the planet Mars, which makes this sign fiery and aggressive.  Aries cats are by no means timid.   Many posses a quick temper and a fighting spirit that often get them into more than their share of trouble.  they don't always intinate a cat fight, but rarely will they back down from one if confronted or attacked by another animal ~~ even if the other animal is larger and more powerful then they are.

Cats born under the sign of Aries are adventurous by nature, curious, brave, and always on the lookout for something new and exciting to do.  They require lots of exercise, and like their human counterparts, Aries cats enjoy being active.  They love to play and be entertained for hours, and chances are that you will tire out before they do.

They are self~reliant and easily excitable.  they usually get what they want.  If they don't, they can make life miserable for thier humans with uncooperative behavior and acts of spite such as urinating on your brand new furniture or clawing apart the draperies.

The sign of the Ram rules the head, and Aries cats are prone to accidents that frequently result in head injuries.  But they absolutely adore having thier heads rubbed or scratched.  This make them purr loudly, and sometimes they will try to grab your hand and give you love bite.

Aries cats are most compatible with humans and other animals born under the astrological sign of Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius.  The least compatible with Aries are the three Earth signs {Taurus, Virgo, Capricor} and the three water signs {Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces}.

TAURUS

Cats born under the sign of the Bull love food and comfort, and they are content with simple surroundings.  However, they will not complain if you spoil them with luxuries as well.  They fear the loss of security, which is typical of an Earth sign, and are creatures of habit.  they quickly settle into a routine and become somewhat agitated when their daily schedules are disrupted.  Therefore, in order to keep your Taurus cat happy, make sure you feed him at the same time each day.  You will probably also notice that Taurean catnaps take place at the same time, same place each day right on schedule.  Bull~cats love to sleep, and being ruled by the element of Earth, their favorite places to do so are on rocks and on the ground where they can tune into the healing enegries of the Planetary Mother.

Taurus cats are affectionate, patient, and mellow; however, they can be extremely stubborn when they want to be.  If they should happen to develop any bad habits, it will be next to impossible to break them.

Taurus traditionally rules the throat and the neck, which makes Taurus cats very vocal.  They love to be heard and will meow often.

Taurus cats are most compatible with humans and other animals born under the astrological sign of Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn.  The signs least compatable with Taurus are the three fire signs {Aries, Leo, Sagittarius}and the three Air signs {Gemini, Aquarius, Libra}.

GEMINI

Like their human counterparts, Gemini cats are extremely talkative, meowing all the time.  They always seem to have something to say~or maybe it's just that they like to hear the sound of their own voice.  They get this trait from their ruling planet Mercury, which governs all forms of communication.  They also love when you converse with them, but be warned that they are easily bored and after a few minutes of idle chitchat they will probably turn and walk away in search of something more stimulating to their feline senses, such as a buzzing housefly or a falling leaf that invites them to play.  It is natural for Gemini cats to appear disinterested or even uninterested at times, and they can be more restless, fickle, and impatient than cats of other signs.  Whatever you do, do not serve them their dinner late.  They do not like being kept waiting at feeding time.  Because of their restlessness, Geminis need variety and constant attention.  They also like to be the center of attention as well.  They are clever animals and more comfortable with change than the majority of cats born under differnent signs.
Being an Air sign, Gemini cats love the out of doors, the sunshine, and plenty of fresh air.  This is not to say that a Gemini does not do well as a house cat.  You may find, however, that once you let your Gemini cat out of the house, he will quickly change his mind and want to come right back in.  After you let him in, he will quickly decide that he wants to go back out.  Never try to figure out a Gemini.
The sign of Twins rules the nervous and respiratory systems, which gives the Gemini cat his quick reflexes.  However, it also makes him prones to nervous conditions.
Gemini cats are most compatable with humans and other animals born under the sign of Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius.

Sounds exactly like me and I am human.  Don't be late with my feeding.
CANCER

Under the planetary rulership of the Moon, the sign of Cancer is linked to the home, the family, the mother, and children.  Therefore, Cancer cats do not mind being house cats and many prefer it to being outdoors.  If they are made into outdoor cats, they will most likely stay close to the house, seldom, if ever, venturing beyond their own backyards.

They are very attached to their human families and do quite well in homes where there are children.  They possess a strong materinal instinct and will defend their kittens with tooth and claw.  It is also not unusual for male Cancer cats to try and mother their young ones.  They will diligently guard a box of kittens while the mother cat is away, and they may even jump inside of it to keep the kittens warm and feeling safe.

Cancer cats are animals that possess strong likes and dislikes.  They are self~protective, sensitive, and moody ~ especially when the Moon is Full.  Their feelings are easily hurt, and they are cautious and not very comfortable around strangers.  They will often become over~possessive or greatly dependent, upon the people they love.  Jealousy is a typical trait in a Cancer cat, so if you are showing more attention to another pet, do not be the least surprised if the Cancer cat retreats to its favorite hiding spot to sulk and give you the cold, silent treatment.

The tendency to collect things is another strong and typical Cancer cat trait, which applies to cats as well as to human born under the astrological sign of the Crab.  Whether it be old, chewed~up cat toys or little odds and ends from around the house, the Cancer cat will collect them and hide them somewhere like a secret stash.

Cancer cats are most compatiable with humans and other animals born under the astrological signs fo Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.
LEO

Leo, the sign of the Lion, is the king of the jungle and a natural born leader.  Leo cats may be lion like in their appearance or their behavior.  Even a Leo cat of small physical stature will roar when it finds it necessary to do so.

Ruled by the element of Fire, Leo cats are not very fond of cold weather.  They love the sun and are more than content to curl up in a warm, sunny spot and snooze for hours upon end.

Around other cats, Leo is the one in charge; no ifs, and or buts, about it.  Generosity is a Leo trait, and they will often share food, toys, or catch of the day with a feline friend.  But brave hearted Leo can also be a relentless enemy.  You will find very few, if any cowardly lions.

Like their human counterparts, Leo cats crave lots of love and attention.  They are turned on by extravagance~~gourment cat food, a luxurious cat bed, a state of the art litter box, a catnip scented scratching post...well, you get the idea.  But cat lovers of the world be warned :  If you ever spoil your Leo cat, she will likely turn into an arrogant snob who will live only to impress the other cats in the neighborhood.

Leo cats are most compatible with humans and other animals born under the astrological signs of Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius
Virgo
Ruled by the planet Mercury and the element of Earth, the Virgo cat is one that is very fastidious and tidy.  They will not tolerate a messy litter box and are uncomfortable in an unclean or overly cluttered environment.  They take great pleasure in grooming themselves and are one of the few types of cats that don't mind getting a bubble bath and pedicure.

Loyality is a Virgo trait and they choose very carefully those whom they give their love and affection.  It usually takes a while to gain a Virgo's cats trust, and if you hurt them or do something that makes them really angry, you will find that they are not animals that forgive and forget easily.

Cats that are born under the sign of the Virgin are extremely intelligent, analytical, and observent, just as their human couterparts are.  Security is important to them, and they appreciate the comfort a warm, loving home has to offer.

Many cats can be fussy from time to time, but the Virgo cat takes the cake on this one!  Cats of the sixth sign of the zodiac will also exhibit indecisive behavior from time to time, unable to make up their minds if they want in or out, canned food or dry, and so forth.

Virgo cats are most compatible with humans and animals born under the astrological signs of Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Taurus, Virgo, and Carpricorn.

Libra
Ruled by planet Venus , Libra cats are graceful creatures that are usually mellow by nature.  They are appreciative and they need to be appreciated as well.  Pet them often and whisper in their ears how cute and how smart they are.  Flattery will get you everywhere with a Libra cat.

Friendliness is a Libra trait, and most cats born under this sign get along with just about everyone.  They are very social and charming, and they are more than willing to please.  It is difficult not to get along with a Libra cat.  Most of them possess an easy~going attitude and are easy to train.  A harmonious environment where the enegries are well~balanced is extremely important to both the feline and human Libras.  They like to get involved in what ever activity is taking place at the moment, and most are very fond of music and watching television.

Libra cats can be fussy about what they eat,  although to a lesser degree than the Virgo cat.  They are often indecisive and are easily influenced by other cats, which may be either a good or not so good thing depending upon the type of company your cat keeps.

If unhappiness should strike, the Libra cat will likely compensate for it with bouts of gluttony.  They also deal with stress in much the same fashion.  They hate confrontation and would rather make love than war, or simply be left alone.

Libra cats are most compatable with humans and other animals born under the astrological signs of Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius.
Scorpio
All cats possess strong intuitive powers; however, the Scorpio cat {along with the Pisces} are blessed with the greatest psychic sensitivity.  The same applies to Scorpio and Pisces humans as well.  The Scorpio cat always seems to know just exactly what you are thinking or feeling, and what your next move will be long before you make it.

Cats that are born under the sign of the Scorpion are naturally curious, jealous, suspicious, and very possessive over the humans they love.  There is also a secretive nature to Scorpio cats and they seldom make their feeling obvious.  They are sensitive, easily hurt, and known to be quite vengeful.  If they feel that thier humans have neglected or mistreated them, they will not curl upin the corner and be quietly put up with it.  Instead, they will delight in doing something they know will really get your day off to a bad start.

They possess strong likes and dislikes and are very influential over other cats.  Scorpio is ruled by Mars { same war god as Aries}.  This makes Scorpios excellent fighters, and in a cat fight they can be extremely vicious.

Scorpio rules over the reproductive organs, but for a Scorpio cat, mating can often be difficult tasks~~especially for the female.  But this in not to say that they do not find pleasure in procreation.  Like so many of thier human counterparts, Scorpio cats always seem to be in heat.

Scorpio cats are most compatible with humans and animals born under the astrological signs of Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.
Sagittarius
Sagittarius cats are independent creatures and they love their freedom.  They love to explore and are always on the lookout for a new adventure.  Like their extraverted human counterparts, they love playing and having fun.  Competition and challanges are a real turn on for them.  They quickly grow bored with routine and are not bothered by changes in thier environment the way many other cats are.  Patience is not one of their virtues, and restlessness is their middle name.

Sagittarius cats, unlike those born under the sign of Virgo, are not known for their neatness.  They will often kick their gravel out of the litter box and spill their food all over the floor.  It's in their nature and scolding them or attempting to train them to act otherwise is futile.  However, if a Sagittarius cat has a Virgo rising, he will probably be more meticulous.

Cats born under the sign of a Centaur~Archer can be somewhat moody and are prone to accidents.  They love to do cute things to make you laugh, and they thrive on being the center of attention.

Sagittarius also love to take chances.  The human variety find stimulation in such things as gambling and daredevil sports, while the feline risk~takers like to test their nine live by seeing if they can outrun the next door neighbor's attack dog, snatch a mouse away from a gang or ruffian alley cats, and other games of chance.

Sagittarius cats are most compatable with human and animals born under the astrological signs of Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.
Capricorn

The element of Earth makes the Capricorn cat laid~back and earthy.  Like the Goat that symbolizes their sign, they like their surroundings to be a quiet and peaceful.  Loud noises make them  nervous, and when human strangers invade their home territory, they become quite shy and may even retreat to a quiet, secluded hiding place to be alone.  Strange animals are always approached with the utmost caution.  Goat~cat like stability and have a strong fear of insecurity, which is typical traits of an Earth sign.  For a loyal pet, you best pet is a Capricorn.

Being solitary is no problem for Capricorn cats.  They like when you leave for work so they can have the house to themselves.  Capricorns are leaders, not followers.  If there are other cats in the family, the Capricorn cat will most likely be the dominant figure.  But with Fire sign cats the Capricorn cat is likely to encounter a power struggle.  The Lion may prove to be the king of the jungle in the long run, but the Capricorn cat will never give up trying for first place.  He is determined, above all else.

Capricorn cats often prefer the quiet activity of gazing out a window or being curled up in front of a crackling fireplace to roughhousing.  They also adore rocking chairs.  But every now and then boredom sets in and they need to run a little wild until they get it out of their systems, which usually doesn't take very long.

The sign of the Goat is also the sign of the climber, and Capricorn cats love climbing things.  Whether it is a tree in the front yard or the bookcases in the den, they will scale heights with great skill and determination.  Capricorns know what they want, and they know how to get it.  It may take them awhile, but once they reach the top, you will probably need to call the fire department to get them down.

The Capricorn cat is most compatiable with humans and other animals born under the astrological signs of Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn.
Aquarius
Aquarius cats  are extremely independent and their freedom is just as important to them as their food and water.  They do not like to be cooped up inside for long and resent being put on a leash or imprisoned in a portable travel kennel.  They have a rebellious streak, are friendly animals, and adapt rather quickly to changes.  They are curious by nature, oblivious to the old saying .  However, the vast majority of Aquarian cats prefer to observe rather that participate.

The planet Uranus, which rules the sign of the Water Bearer, makes the Aquarian cat unpredictable.  However, if he is placed under a great deal of stress, he will most likely respond by becoming antisocial and giving you the silent treatment.  If his rising sign is Aries, or if his natal chart has a lot of planets in Aries, he will be tempermental.  If his chart shows planets in Scorpio, his reaction to stress will be spiteful.

Aquarius is the sign of the mind, and cats born under this sign are rather intuitive.  They are also highly intelligent.  It is easy to train an Aquarian cat because they are fast learners.  They pride themselves on being the geniuses of the cat world.

Do not become alarmed if your Aquarian cat displays some strange behavior from time to time.  In most cases this is perfectly normal.  Uranus is a wild and crazy planet, and eccentricity is the result of its influences.

The Aquarian cat is most compatiable with humans and animals born under the astrological signs of Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius.
Pisces

Ruled by the planet Neptune, Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac.  It is also the most psychic, and this gives the Pisces cat a strong intuitive sixth sense.  In addition, Pisces is the most emotional sign of the zodiac, next to Cancer and Scorpio.  This is the reason that many Pisces cats tend to hypersensitive, moody and even tempramental at times.

Although many Pisces cats are normally timid, shy, and introverted, they are friendly and get along well with other animals.  They grow restless very easily and love to roam from place to place by the light of the silvery moon.

Pisces rules the feet, which gives the sign of the Fishes their desire to constantly be on the go.  It also gives them sensitive paws that are prone to tenderness and occasional injuries.

Food is important to the Pisces cat and their favorite cuisine is, of course, seafood.  If they are not fed on time, they will become grumpy.  Pisceans, both feline and human, can be very impatient and whine when they cannot have their ways.  But once they mellow out, they will cuddle up in your lap and shower you with affection.

Cats born under the sign of Pisces are naturally mysterious and mystical.  Many are attracted to witches and others who practice, or take a strong interest in, the magickal arts.  They have dreamy eyes, and if you gaze into them long enough you may feel like you are looking into the windows to another world.

The Pisces cat is most compatible with humans and other animals born under the astrological signs of Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.

Cat (Animal) Healing

Materials: Statue of Bast and/or Sekhmet or of a black cat. Picture of the cat (or animal) to be healed, or at least their name written on a piece of paper. Green thread. A blue or white candle. Incense: lavender, lotus, or myrrh.
Timing: Healing should be done any time it is needed; repeat the spellworking on the next Full Moon to reinforce and strengthen the healing power.

The Spell:
Set up a little altar or sacred space, arranging the statues to the rear of your working area. Place the candle to the side of the statue or inbetween if you are using two statues. Light the candle and the incense.
With the photo or paper with the sick animal's name on it before you, ask the Goddess Bast to grant a healing. Take as much time as you feel you need to express this petition.
Sit quietly for a time, visualizing a stream of healing blue light comming from the candle and blending into the picture or paper before you.
When the blue light ceases, take the green thread and cut off a piece thirteen inches long. If you are using a paper with a name written on it, roll the paper into a small cylinder and wrap the green thread around it several times, tying it when you are finished. If you are working with a photo, just loosely wrap the thread around the photo.
Do the thread wrapping while chanting:

"Lady of cats, large and small, Answer my entreating call.
Cast out the sickness, bring in the Light.
Grant loving healing through Thy might. Renewing green, healing blue, I bind these energies into you.
As threads around your image wind, Perfect healing to you I bind."

Lay the thread-wrapped photo or paper near the statue, leaving it there until the candle is burned out. Burn the thread and paper (if you are using a photo, remove the thread to be burned and return the photo to the proper person) and dispose of the ashes and candle wax.

Spell to Find a Lost Cat

For this spell to find a lost cat or other small pet, you’ll need the assistance of a tree, rock, or other outdoor entity—preferably one in your yard or very near your home. Take one of your cat’s favorite toys and some cat food to the tree. Tell the tree about your pet and that you are concerned because of how long he or she has been missing. Ask the tree if it will help you by providing a beacon for your cat to follow to get home. Leave the cat food near the tree. If a small rock gets your attention, bring it and the cat toy into the house. Keep them near the door. Every time you pass the toy, thank the tree for its help in providing a beacon for your pet.

Cat Blessing Ritual

You will need :
      • A gold candle(For the God/dess)
      • A cat figure candle for each cat ( or just a white one)
      • A favorite incense,
      • Of course, your kitty

Light the incense and place the candles in the center of the altar.

Cast your circle.

Light the gold candle and invoke the Horned God:

O Great Horned God, consort of the Goddess,
I invoke thee, and invite thee, into this circle.

Light the white candle,

Holding your cat, kneel before the altar and recite the following prayer:

O Great Horned God,
Father of the woodlands
And loving lord of all creatures
That walk cralw, swm and fly
A threefold blessing I humbly ask
Of thee on this special day:
May this cat's life be a long
Happy and healthy one.
May she always receive
Your divine protection.
And when our incarnations
In this world cease to be
May we forever be reunited
In the great Wiccan otherworld
Known as the Summerland.
Blessed be!

After the prayer has been recited, gaze into the flame of the gold candle.

Chant three times the name of your cat
with the words "Blessed Be".

Kiss your kitty and set him down.

Give thanks to the Horned God in your own way and close the circle.
