A Call to Lord and Lady
She lives and breathes upon the Earth Her wheel spins round the hub of June She is the web of life and birth Her smile floats softly with the moon
Heart of life, and caring mother Loving sister, noble princess Firebird spirit, restless lover Shadowy hidden sorceress
His strength is there in mountains high His lightning flies from air and cloud His horn heralds the wild hunt's ride He quickens forest, roaring proud
Children's friend, protecting father Watchful brother, noble fighter Laughing wise one, dark magister Player of pipes, thoughtful shepherd
Their faces many, countless names Pan, Diana, Zeus, Astarte Teachers from dreams, oracle's flames Speak, and guide us within our hearts

The Enchantress She raises her wand to the moon And casts down a magical spell Chants, spoken in ancient tongue Perfumed smoke liberates the air Gentle flames dance majestically Enhanced by mother nature Purified, passionate As the stars shine in approval The oceans mingle Jovial love She is the enchantress Power of the witch. |

Young Birdspirit's Song My children, gather close around me, as I recall the birthing time of young birdspirit, the joining day of two kindred spirits, the day your mother journeyed between the worlds. This young creature brought to her by the Great Mother, a young life barely a whishper, a young bird who chanced to enter a different world, foreign and too often uncaring.
Your mother fed this young bird, not in meal, but in loving spirit and connectedness. Constantly giving of herself, smiling at its every chirp and delighting in it gait. My children,we are one in spirit with the Goddess and with All-That-Is, and it follows then that we are connected to all things as with the Great Mother.
Not all people are attuned to this wonderful gift, but your mother has carried it within her, knowing that there had always been something special within her, yet unexplored. "Share with it your vital energy, become one with it's spirit," I encouraged her, and her Younger Self calls out to the young birdspirit from the depth of her heart.
As we saw a new day's dawning, the two spirits parted company, each with a gift, Maya with the innocence, the vibrant song and energy of the young birdspirit, and the young little bird with your mother's loving nature and intense passion for life. Spirits now joined, each sings in its own way the young birdspirit's song. |

‘Neath Eagle's Wings ?neath eagle's wings in earlier times gone by, i morphed into great eagle windspirit, spreading strong and golden wings. casting off my earthly perch, lifting my spirit into the heavens, climbing without effort, the wind and clouds in my face. timeless and beautiful, beholding my Earth Mother below, painted like a child's marble. blue and green, umber and white, all colors perfectly placed. seeing my Mother before me, her magnificent beauty undefiled, ahh... good medicine, this vision, making my heart sing.
but now, with great sorrow piercing my heart, i cry as i fly above the roar below, gliding silently but deliberately on this one day among many, grieving, heartbroken and saddened. angrily and menacingly, i release into the universe a deafening, heart-rending cry, as i witness my Mother beneath me being beaten and harrassed, wantonly, carelessly defaced, robbed of her life-giving blood. my Mother cries out to me in pain, her life-blood drained. My Earth Mother bleeds, my siblings cry, my heartstrings tear. my heartsong is silenced.
i continue my flight of solitude, my Truth in my heart. i am restless, i am angry, as i see my beautiful Mother raped over and over and over again. i cannot land, i will not rest, i will not give up my vision of a return to a world ordered and timeless, loving and caring. i feel for my kindred spirits, living out their human existence below, who, without wing and flight, do not see what i see, do not feel what i feel.
Great Spirit, All-That-Is, reveal to all of us now this great urgency of our time: we are here to learn and to live the medicine way of ancient times, the way of oneness, oneness with self, oneness with humankind, oneness with all things, oneness with our Earth Mother, oneness with All-That-Is.
tomorrow will come, as always it has. Earth Mother in time, in spite of our pettiness, in spite of our ignorance, will heal her wounds and rebirth our world. my brothers, my sisters, now is the time, a critical time, to love, to embrace, to be keenly aware, that All-That-Is created us each like unto Itself, and placed us here, lovingly, knowlingly, perfect, whole and complete, to love and to share this earthly home.
summoning all my strength, i spread my wings wide, wider than i ever thought possible, casting a giant shadow, an unmistakable presence, upon all the fields and waters below. my brothers and sisters, those that hear my call, and feel my spirit, squinting and straining, look upward, fixing their eyes upon this great sign from the heavens. and at once we become as one, each of the spirit of the eagle, free, unbounded, and filled with this vision of oneness with Earth Mother.
we open our hearts, we open our minds, surrounding Earth Mother in beautiful white light. we hold this dream, we hold this vision, we hold this consciousness, we hold our Mother in love and peace ‘neath eagle's wings. |

Blessing
May the East fling open your windows, and fill your rooms with air; May the South send you strong sunshine, and give you the strength to dare; May the West wash rivers into your heart, and oceans into your soul, May the North share the secrets and gifts of the earth, to heal and make you whole.

Sweet Circle of Love The quiet hours come, eyelids heavy, as is my heart. Not empty, yet not full. not broken, yet still mending. Not here, but somewhere... searching... hoping... trusting... that it will come home.
It has been said so often, "home is where the heart is," yet my heart feels lost... wandering... waiting... keeping me going... sustaining me for what end?
My heart yearns to fly, to search the wooded glen, to find my love, to sense its presence, to feel its embrace, to know its warmth... yet, alas, I cannot soar for my wings are healing.
Someday... somewhere... somehow... I will fly again... and find my way home, to rest quietly with the Goddess in loving embrace and earthly peace. There I will gather flowers and sing of love never waning... never failing... a love I once knew. a love that lived... and breathed... and laughed... and cried... and was held so close when it wanted to be.
As life does sometimes, two hearts meet, and fall in love, and feel the Goddess burning within. But then life's forces silently tell them that their time is done and it is time to journey on... to leave the circle as quickly and as suddenly as they came to enter it. What these hearts will never know, as the distance grows, and the flame of their candle grows weaker, is "what could have been."
But what could have been is a pit of quicksand a slow death for the drowning heart, a living hell, for the lonely heart. Two parting hearts, it seems, can only trust in the Goddess to love them and guide them and paint their love in a new hue of friendship.
For two hearts that are bonded in such love and oneness of spirit can never be taken from Her sweet circle of love. | <NOBR>First </NOBR> <NOBR>Previous </NOBR> <NOBR>No Replies </NOBR> <NOBR>Next </NOBR> <NOBR>Last </NOBR> | | <FORM name=DelThr action=litha.msnw?action=delete_thread&ID_Message=5558 method=post><INPUT type=hidden value=9m3q7Pi1UEmT7cUTGZ19Ugz8GmEktzV3wofInIqIwwK92qw6shro4Nxzuq3zzlXzM9V0JMaBfvBvTW0l*iNXA2RA$$ name=UChk> </FORM> language=Javascript> function confirmDeleteDiscussion() { if (confirm('This action will permanently delete this discussion, including all replies.\n\nAre you sure you want to continue?')) document.DelThr.submit(); } function navAway(url) { window.location.href = url; } </SCRIPT> <FORM name=DelMsg action=litha.msnw?action=delete_messages&ID_Topic= method=post><INPUT type=hidden value=9m3q7Pi1UEmT7cUTGZ19Ugz8GmEktzV3wofInIqIwwK92qw6shro4Nxzuq3zzlXzM9V0JMaBfvBvTW0l*iNXA2RA$$ name=UChk> <INPUT type=hidden name=ID_Parent><INPUT type=hidden name=IDs></FORM> language=Javascript> function confDelMsg(idMsg, idParent){if (confirm('Are you sure you want to delete the content of this message?')){document.DelMsg.IDs.value = idMsg;document.DelMsg.ID_Parent.value = idParent;document.DelMsg.submit();}} </SCRIPT> | </TABLE>

Oak and Ash and Thorn Borrowed and altered from Rudyard Kipling’s poem "A Tree Song." ~*~ Of all the trees that grow so fair Old England to adorn Fairer are none beneath the Sun Than Oak and Ash and Thorn (chorus) Sing, Oak and Ash and Thorn good sirs All on a Midsummer's morn Surely we sing of no little thing In Oak and Ash and Thorn Oak of the clay saw many a day Ere ever aneas began Ash was the loom of a Lady at home Whan brute was an outlaw man Thorn of the dance saw New Troy town From which dear London was born Witness hereby the ancientry of Oak and Ash and Thorn (chorus) Yew that is old in churchyard mold He breedeth a mighty bow Alder for shoes do wisemen choose And Birch for a cup also But when you have killed and your bowl has spilled And your shoes are clear outworn Back you must speed for all that you need In Oak and Ash and Thorn (chorus) Ailim, she hateth mankind and waiteth Till every gust be laid To drop a limb on the head of him Who leastwise trusts her shade But whether a lad be sober or sad Or mellow with ale from the Horn He will take no harm if he lay ere long Neath Oak and Ash and Thorn (chorus) Oh do not tell the Priest of our art For they would call it a sin But we have been out in the woods all night A conjurin' Summer in And we bring you news by word of mouth Good news for cattle and corn Now is the Sun come up from the South With Oak and Ash and Thorn (chorus) Alternate chorus for ending: Sing, Oak and Ash and Thorn All on a Midsummer’s morn England shall bide ‘til judgement tide By Oak and Ash and Thorn ~*~ |
